"Is it just because of that girl?" she asked.
"If you don't know her, then please be quiet," Emir suggested.
After a pause, he said, "About yesterday, you don't have to take tension. I will solve this matter myself."
"Okay, but who is she?" she asked, curious because she had never seen her before.
"She is my friend from India," Emir told her.
"You never mentioned her before," she inquired.
"Let's talk about this later," he said, stealing a glance and noticing Ember.
Ember also noticed that she had been caught. "Oh no! He saw me... Where's the book? Let me take this book from the shelf." She covered her face with the book.
"Let me introduce you to her," Emir said to the girl.
When Ember realized that it had taken him too long to come here and thought that she hadn't been caught, she peeked from behind the book and saw no one there. "Whew! What a relief," she thought. She just caught her breath and then heard, "What happened? Are you looking for someone?" The voice sounded familiar... It was Emir. She turned back and saw that she was right.
"Hello, what are you doing here? I thought you went to fetch some books," she pretended not to have heard anything, wearing a smile.
"Oh, Ember, let me introduce you to my friend, Cheng Xiao," Emir said.
"Hello, Miss Cheng, I'm Ember," Ember introduced herself.
"Hello," Cheng replied.
"Oh, Xiao, we're getting late, so bye," Emir said to Cheng.
"Goodbye, Miss Xiao," Ember. Then they returned to their seats.
