Chapter 35

When the two returned to the cave , the whole cave was silent.  The two men couldn't say anything. 

Xinn was guilty of shouting at Alonzo and Alonzo was guilty of underestimating Xinn. Xinn hugged Alonzo tightly. 

" I know I'm wrong . '

Alonzo sighed as he massaged his temple . His eyes were watery as if he was on the verge of crying because of worry . " W.. why are you making me so worried , Xinn . "

Xinn pouted . " I know I'm wrong, I'm so sorry . Dear , I wouldn't be wreckless next time . "

Alonzo pulled Xinn and sat down together on the sofa.  " I am the father here , in our future family.  I am the one who supposed to protect you , Xinn . Can you at least hear me out when it comes to such situations next time? I may be weaker than you , but I am also powerful , you know . "

Xinn clenched his fist and said in a soft voice.  " I didn't say anything about you being weaker than me though.  "

" Xinn , even if you do surround our children with barrier for protection , but what about you? What if someone ambushes while you were fighting? What if you get wounded? "

" Even if you repeatedly tell me that everything's gonna be alright , you couldn't stop me from worrying about your safety and well being , Xinn . Because I care for you.  "

" I love you , you know? "

" You're my precious lover and the female father of our children . "

Xinn couldn't stop crying and immediately hug Alonzo . ", I'm so sorry ... I just don't want to let such bandits to step foot in our territory. "

" I could drive them out myself , Xinn.  "

" You don't know anything!!! There's an eagle Beastman there! Even if the size is several times smaller than you , you can still get wounded if you fight them.  " .

Alonzo sighed helplessly and patted the crying female's head . " Ok , stop crying anymore . It won't be good to the children . "

" I already said I'm sorry , you know ."

Alonzo nodded. " Ok , I forgive you already . Don't cry anymore . "

Xinn sat up straight then wiped his wet eyes . Alonzo distressingly wiped the female's tears .

" Don't , ever do that again.  "

" I can't promise that . " Xinn shook his head. 

" Don't " Alonzo stared at Xinn's eyes seriously

"....  Ok " Xinn lowered his head , he couldn't refuse his lover

" Good " A smile finally bloomed upon the green haired man .

The couple's situation went back to normal but Alonzo obviously became more clingy to Xinn. Whenever Xinn moved around , Alonzo would always watch him secretly , guarding him , watching his every movements afraid that their children would get harmed. 

Whenever Xinn feels nauseous , the snake would immediately pop out of nowhere and carry the pregnant man back to the cave .

He would fan him when feels hot , he would burn wood if Xinn ever feels cold.  He would hug him if Xinn ever feels lonely.  He would kiss him if Xinn ever wants attention .

Everything Xinn wants , Alonzo would give it to him.  All Alonzo did to Xinn made Xinn feel overwhelmed.  Alonzo's affection for him was so abundant and overwhelming that Xinn almost couldn't shoulder them all .

Time passed and Xinn's belly turned bigger day after day . Xinn experienced his skin tightening around the bulge and even felt worry if his stomach would ever burst.  Alonzo said it wouldn't.

Only then did Xinn calm down .

Alonzo then brought Xinn to the bedroom to start nourishing their children but it seems that their children were over nourished that Xinn's belly was about to burst from the speed of growth of the eggs inside. 

While Alonzo was showering Xinn with affection.  Xinn on the other hand began experiencing nightmares about the hidden concerns hidden in his mind. 

He would dream about how he was giving birth to eggs but Alonzo is not around and is in the middle of the forest hunting , but then suddenly met a very beautiful female and fell inlove. 

Alonzo cheated on him and impregnated another female .

Whenever he dreamed something like that , Xinn found his face turning more round and ugly.  He also began to realize that he would get wrinkles on his stomach once the eggs come out.  His looks will diminish and Alonzo would dislike him. 

Whenever he felt anxiety such as that , he would immediately run to the bathroom to vomit. 

At that time , when Alonzo came back from hunting.  Alonzo was bombarded by a lot of questions by Xinn. 

Wether he met someone in the forest .

Wether he could hear him from far away if he shouts his name .

Wether he would be there if he gives birth to the eggs .

Does he still love him?

If he becomes ugly , would he still love him?

Alonzo enjoyed answering Xinn's clingy question and happily coaxed the pregnant man while taking advantage of Xinn sexually to coax his heart full of anxiety.

Only when Alonzo still shows desire on his body did Xinn calmed down.  Even when Alonzo sucked his nipple in the middle of the night , Xinn didn't push him away and even felt delighted that Alonzo didn't change .

When the temperature dropped down again , Xinn and Alonzo visited the Margay Tribe.  After that incident happened , Xinn gave the tribe some preys from his space to be their food during winter. 

He also ordered Alonzo to translate a medicinal book into lingua franca and gave it to the witch of the Margay Tribe .

When the Margay Tribe received such thing , Erion knelt down and declared that their tribe would be under the rulership of the mountain ruler. 

Alonzo didn't refuse them and said that he doesn't want to bother with them anymore . Xinn blessed them a good fortune them returned back to their tribe with ease .

The tribe was so grateful to them and felt that ever since they came here , their heart never have been so at ease than before .

Winter finally arrived , the couple closed their cavedoor and then cuddled themselves near the burning stove . They also also layed a bed mattress near the burning stove and decided to sleep there from then on .

Xinn stared at the burning fire inside the stove.  Alonzo on the other hand was hugging him from behind .

" It's finally winter , dear . " Said Xinn .

Alonzo turned Xinn's face to him then kissed his lips. " Yeah , and this year's winter isn't as cold as before now that you're here by my side.  "

Xinn moved his faced away and cringed. " You're becoming more and more corny and sweet as time passed by . "

Alonzo snorted . " Only single people would think my words are corny . It is the truth , I usually hibernate during winter but this year , you're finally here and it is no longer as cold as before . "

Xinn chuckled.  " I usually think that my grandparents are too corny whenever they say sweet nothings and corny pick up lines to each other , but i didn't expect to also experience this with you. "

The handsome snake smiled with rows of teeth exposed . " I'm not corny , I'm just a romanticist . "

" Oooh , where did you learn that word? "

" From your books ."

Xinn arc up his brows.  " You have read those books . "

Alonzo layed his head on his palm while his elbow stand on the pillow . He layed his other hand on Xinn's belly as he responded.

" They are pretty interesting , the male leads inside are domineering , tyrant and cold . Unfortunately , I dislike their abusive behavior towards their females I mean , woman . I am kinda similar to them , but I could hold my obsession and violent tendency . "

Xinn stared back at the handsome man and said . " They are just fictional characters set up by a writer's imagination . Even if they are abusive and crazy , it is not their fault . It is the fault of the main brain behind , which is the author . "

Alonzo then said . " But still , if they live in real life . Their woman would be the most miserable woman in their world . "

" No woman could stand such emotional abusive plot . What's with that third party , second male lead second male lead.  If they really love each other , they don't have to abuse themselves emotionally . If they just cleared the misunderstanding from the very start , that novel wouldn't have exis--

" Popular ." Xinn cut off

Xinn rolled his eyes.  " If they cleared the misunderstanding instantly , the novel wouldn't have been so popular . "

" Then ..  what kind of male lead do you want your man to become in your life.  "

Xinn stared at Alonzo then smiled.  " You ... All I want is a man like you.  "

Alonzo then smiled teasingly . " I'm unique though , men like me couldn't be easily found in your world.  "

" If you are not in my world , then I will cross the world for you.  "

Alonzo laughed out loud.  " Hahaha , you have already crossed the world.  Fool . "

Alonzo extended his hands and moved a strand of hair to the back of Xinn's ears.  " And you know ... You are the best shou that ever exist in the whole universe . You are simply perfect for me.  "

Xinn couldn't help smiling foolishly at Alonzo's remarks.  " I know that I am the best , fool . "

" Both of us are fools.  " Alonzo

" Two fools that fool inlove with each other.  " Alonzo continued

" Hahahaha you're so corny.  " Xinn laughed and lightly hit Alonzo's tricep.

" At least I made you laugh. Hahaha " Alonzo chuckled .

And so , The couple passed their first winter night just like that.
