Traveling To The Past

***DROPPED***______________________________________________ Peng Mingzhu came from the future to the past in order to learn more about her favorite subject in the world: the history of ancient China. Wei Kangnuan was the man that fell in love with her at the first talk, but could not understand why Wu Kennai was unwilling to marry him even when they were close, friendly, and in a good relationship. One person held so many dark secrets that they could not forget about the past and another person held so many emotions that they could only imagine the future. Would the love of the two people blossom like the flowers in spring? Or be frozen in the winter? ________________________________________________________________ Backing Peng Mingzhu up against the wall, Wei Kangnuan placed his arms on both sides to block her from running. He knew that with her tall height, she would have a hard time trying to duck in order to get away from him. "Y-you...w-what are you planning on doing?" she asked with an incredibly nervous voice. Moving his face closer to her face, he shifted his lips to her forehead. *Chu* He gave her a kiss on the forehead. Shocked at the kiss, her eyes instinctively opened wide and her jaw dropped as she stared at his face - feeling as though the forehead kiss was just an illusion. Ignoring her surprise though, he moved his lips down towards her lips, and just a second before placing them together, he asked back with a smug grin, "What do you think?" The moment that his lips landed on her own, her eyes opened even wider while her thoughts ran rampant, 'WHAT THE HELL! MY FIRST KISS!! HOW COULD HE STEAL MY FIRST KISS!?!?!?' However, as though he did not notice her eyes that grew red in anger, he placed his right hand behind her neck and impassioned their kiss further. By the time she could even protest and show her anger at getting her first kiss stolen, her body was already limp and weakened from the breathless kiss. "Zhu'er, I really love you..." Wei Kangnuan stated with a deep long sigh before giving her another deep kiss, still forcing her up against the wall. ________________________________________________________________ Link to my Discord server: https://discord.gg/KsKDDcVwka *Art does not belong to me. DNA Test

In the stressful event where two people were recalling the long ago past, only one of the two felt like they had recovered something they lost. While that person wanted to continue their discussion of the past in order to continue their future, the person who felt nothing but confusion did not want to further their talk any longer.

'Perhaps, separating sooner is better than later,' that person thought before immediately separating their bodies from each other.

Now, that is how we reach the scene where Peng Mingzhu and Wei Kangnuan are standing in front of the man who pleaded guilty to everything that was related to the case.

"What are you back here for?" the man asked with a gruff voice.

With a clink, the jail door opened for Peng Mingzhu and she stepped in before answering, "I wanted to learn about the true you. The real you."

"The real me?" the man chuckled at her words. "There is nothing to learn about me. You can leave now."

"If I tell you that your married life was just a lie, would you tell me the truth then?" Peng Mingzhu asked him.

"If you can give me the evidence to prove those words, I will tell you who I really am," the man agreed with her, however his choice of words and tone he spoke showed Peng Mingzhu that he doubted her.

However, as though she was a magician, Peng Mingzhu took out a DNA tester.

"What is that?" Wei Kangnuan asked her when he saw the strange looking thing Peng Mingzhu just took out of her sleeve.

"It is a blood tester," Peng Mingzhu answered. "This thing here can test whether two people are related by blood."

"Do you really need such a thing?" Wei Kangnuan asked her. "You can just have them bleed a little and see if their blood merges or not."

"..." Peng Mingzhu could only show a blank face. "Yes, I know that. But that's how you guys do it. My people do it differently from you guys."

"Is it trustworthy though?" Wei Kangnuan asked with a doubtful face. "Something so tiny like that...does it really work?"

If her DNA tester was not so small like a pregnancy tester, maybe Wei Kangnuan would have believed Peng Mingzhu. However, this DNA tester was specially made by her team of scientists, so not only was it much smaller, it was also much more accurate and there were no chances of the machine making mistakes.

Even though Wei Kangnuan was the one asking the question, Peng Mingzhu turned to the man and answered, "I assure you that this blood tester is incredibly accurate."

"Alright, go ahead and test it," the man said to her before making a small cut on his hand for Peng Mingzhu to use his blood.

"Wei Kangnuan, have someone get the blood of Ren Lin," Peng Mingzhu told him while she moved forward to the man.

"Okay," Wei Kangnuan replied before ordering the warden to go get a bit of blood from the dead body of Ren Lin.

"You can use blood from the bodies of the dead to do a blood test?" the man asked while Peng Mingzhu was placing his blood onto the DNA tester.

"In my place, it is normal to do blood tests on dead people to find out who their biological families are, especially when they are an unidentified person. Since every single citizen has their blood type stored into a set of storage, it is easy to determine which person is related to which person," Peng Mingzhu explained as she waited for the DNA tester to load the words that stated that his blood has been analyzed and examined.

"Your Highness, here is the blood of Ren Lin," the warden came back after the DNA tester finished saving the data of the blood from the mysterious man.

Receiving the blood container, Wei Kangnuan handed it to Peng Mingzhu while asking her, "How did you know that we kept the body of Ren Lin?"

"Just a guess," Peng Mingzhu briefly answered as she dipped the DNA tester into the container that held the blood of Ren Lin. "Besides, if you guys didn't have his body, you'd already tell me. So, does it really matter?"

"What would you have done if we did not have his body?" Wei Kangnuan questioned Peng Mingzhu with a frown of his brows.

"I'd have shown him the real face of his 'wife'," Peng Mingzhu said after a moment of silence due to the sound that the DNA tester produced.

"Huh?" the man made a sound when he heard Peng Mingzhu emphasize on her words "face" and "wife." "Are you telling me that my wife wears a mask?"

"What do you think?" Peng Mingzhu did not answer his question. "If you're interested, how about following me?"

"You… What did you do to her?" the man questioned.

"I didn't do anything bad to her. I merely tied her up so that she wouldn't escape," Peng Mingzhu did not slack at all in her honesty. "Did you know? Your wife is skilled in the art of hiding and disguise. Even the crown prince did not know that she was actually someone as young as me."

"What are you talking about?" the man continued to question in anger and confusion.

"If it was not because I'm also very educated in disguises, I'm afraid I wouldn't have been able to see that the face she's been showing to you and all of us was merely a mask over her real face," Peng Mingzhu continued to speak, not caring at all about the man who was currently turning red.

"Ah Nai, stop provoking him," Wei Kangnuan told Peng Mingzhu when he sensed the man growing angrier.

However, Peng Mingzhu ignored the warning that Wei Kangnuan gave and instead continued, "Did you know that your wife does not actually love you? Actually, do you even know anything about her?"

"What are you talking about?" the man repeatedly asked Peng Mingzhu the same question over and over again. "Seriously, what are you saying? That is not true… You are not speaking true words…"

As he said those words, his body slacked in depression.

"If you follow me, I'll show you whether what I'm saying is true or not," Peng Mingzhu led him on.

Hearing Peng Mingzhu, the man abruptly moved to stare up at her as he was kneeling on the ground and a super threatening voice, he said, "If you are lying to me, I will kill you in the most torturous way possible."

At his threat, Peng Mingzhu was not in the least worried as she mumbled under her breath, "If I could die, that'd have been the greatest blessing that the heavens could have given me."

Unfortunately, not a single person could hear her words as they could only hear her mumble silently to herself as though she was in deep thinking. Well...that is excluding Wei Kangnuan.

It was as though the heavens were blessing him and Peng Mingzhu together. At least that was what Wei Kangnuan was thinking.

After all, if there was no one supporting them, how could they have met at a young age? And now once again when they were at a marriageable age?

Not only that…

If the heavens did not want them together, why would they allow him to always be able to hear her depressive words as though she was speaking right into his ears?

While the jail cell was under a tense bout of silence, an abrupt sound of "beep beep beep" suddenly sprung up.

"Oh, it's done," Peng Mingzhu spoke as though she was used to the sound.

"That thing in your hands can make such a loud noise?" Wei Kangnuan asked with a frown. 'It's so annoying.'

"Well, would you look at that," Peng Mingzhu stated as she showed the results that were printed out by the DNA tester to the man. "Can you read this?"

[A/N: If you are confused as to why the DNA tester can print out the results, it's because this is a custom made DNA tester like I've already written up above in whatever paragraph. The DNA tester is more advanced compared to the current era that we are living in (aka the same era that Peng Mingzhu is living in). The printed results are not in an A4 paper or Letter paper though. It's size is more like a sticky note.]

Miraculously enough, since Peng Mingzhu loved ancient China, all things produced by her team of scientists were written in traditional Chinese, not simplified. At the same time, Donghua Continent used traditional Chinese and not another form of language or writing where she did not understand.

Once again, Peng Mingzhu wanted to pray to the gods for giving her a place where she did not have to study too hard to understand the continent and all the cultures within.

Slowly, the man read, "According to the two compared D-?"

"DNA which means blood," Peng Mingzhu clarified.

Receiving her clarification, he started reading again, "According to the two compared DNA, the a-nal-y-sis?"

Faced with a character that he did not know how to read, the man once again stopped.

"Just read what you know," Peng Mingzhu told him. "Those are not important."

"Alright," the man agreed and got reading again. "No connections…"
