Trapped Inside a Novel as a Hidden Character

(PAUSED) One night, Faerie remembers that she wants to read a novel that was recommended by one of her students. Unfortunately, she forgets what the title was and decided to read another novel that she accidentally found on an old website. Because of how horrible the ending was, Faerie ended up leaving a review full of insults for the novel that has ended for years. It seems that this website has been dead and maybe she was the last visitor to this website. So she believes that her review won't be read by anyone. And just like that, Faerie left a review full of gag nonsense. "The worst ending in the world. If you, readers, agree with my opinions, gimme a million likes! Maybe there's a miracle for me to be transmigrated into this novel so I can change this shitty ending to becoming the best ending all of the time!" And now Faerie regrets her review that night. Faerie did transmigrate into the shitty novel by its writer who proclaimed to be a God. And her bad luck didn't end there. Faerie now possessed a hidden character's body whose destined to die at the hands of a tyrant. Now, what is Faerie supposed to do to change the shitty storyline into the best ending all of the time, and return to her life on Earth? --- Author's note: Related to chapters 01-13 which explains how the MC was able to enter the novel's world and why she was obliged to sign a contract by the Goddess with the reward: 'her life in her original world'. At the start of the story, I purposefully do not shorten and write in detail. That's because I want readers to feel the MC's mindset shift after meeting and interacting with all of the novel's characters, which was initially just focused on how to accomplish the contract. Although I am aware that you may become bored while reading 01-13, I encourage you to continue reading! Cause I am certain that this novel will not bore you! 015 - Daily Life Of The Hidden Princess (2)

"... What's this?"

In Faerie's 25 years of life, Faerie had never seen such a luxurious sight at the dining table.

Even if she goes to an expensive 5-star restaurant, then she will order food that is familiar to her tongue even though it is cheap and scorned by the waiters, rather than ordering expensive food that feels foreign to her tongue.

No. The real reason was that she felt that she would be very regretful if she spent a lot of money on a luxurious meal that she had no idea what it tasted like.

So she prefers to avoid luxury food even though her finances can afford it.

But this time. Faerie could see, the scene where the food filled the dining table perfectly. It looks like food made from ingredients a to z is prepared on this wide and long dining table.

'Aren't there only 3 maids in this mansion?' Faerie recalled the information that God gave.

Faerie glanced around.

A chef and a maid. Quite quiet for the size of the spacious dining room.

Her gaze returned to the dining table.

A table covered with a tablecloth that looks expensive. There are 5 chairs at the dining table.

Faerie imagined how 'Princess Faerie' could eat voraciously when she saw that there were 4 empty seats.

'That means Princess Faerie's family has 4 people?' Faerie tried to remember the contents of the novel, but she couldn't remember the part of the novel that told about the poor Princess's family other than the fact that she was a princess from a small country.

'Well, how could this shitty novel be willing to tell the backstory of an insignificant character who only appears once to be killed by the main character.'

As she was thinking hard about the Princess whose body she had entered, a warm and energetic voice entered her ears.

"Meila said Princess is hungry and wants to eat Princess' favorite food. I was confused about what to serve the Princess, so I thought I'd just cook all your favorite dishes when Princess was little." Mona, the head chef of this mansion said at length after putting the last meal on the dining table.

Meila, Faerie's maid smiled and gave off a cheerful aura when the chef said her name. They look very familiar. But Faerie didn't care about that.

Faerie focused her concentration on the dining table.

Now, the dining table is full of various foods that are very appetizing. The smell made Faerie gulp. She wanted to eat everything right away, but luckily she still managed to restrain herself.

It was because she didn't know the royal dining etiquette.

'This body is that of a Princess, isn't it?! They must be suspicious when they see me eating like an uneducated person!' Faerie screamed frantically in her mind.

Faerie was feeling very frustrated. She had a lot of delicious food served on her dining table and ready to eat, but she couldn't eat it for fear of being suspected by the chef and maids.

'Ugggghhhh!'

Compared to everything she'd been through, perhaps now was the time when Faerie felt a lot of pain.

"Princess?" The chef named Mona looks worried because the Princess's face is pale and her stomach is constantly growling, but so far the dishes have not been touched at all.

'Doesn't Princess like the dishes I cook?' The chef's face showed such a sentence. She also showed her gloomy face in front of Faerie.

Faerie who saw that expression immediately waved her hand to refute all kinds of bad thoughts that the chef had. "No!"

"I just... a little..." Faerie mumbled incoherently to herself. She was at a loss for what to say to explain the current situation.

'Argh! I don't know anymore! I will do what I want!' Faerie inhaled and exhaled at once before looking back at Mona and Meila.

'Since I'm a Princess, so it's fine, right?!'

Faerie opened her mouth after mustering up the courage. "You know...?"

"Yes, Princess?" They answered simultaneously. They were curious as to why the Princess looked shy about something, which was unusual for Princess Faerie.

"As Meila said, I'm starving..." Faerie paused so she could peek at the two's reactions. Fortunately, neither of them looked at her suspiciously, "I'm so hungry and want to eat all this delicious food."

Mona nodded her head excitedly as the Princess complimented her food.

Meanwhile, Meila who was beside Mona also gave the same reaction. She was very happy with the Princess she served suddenly so excited about the food.

"That's why..." Faerie closed her eyes, "p-please get out of this room!" she continued in a stuttering voice.

Meila and Mona looked at each other.

They immediately understood what the Princess was talking about and acted coyly like that.

'Princess wants to eat freely and doesn't want to be seen by lowly servants like us!'

"Understood! We'll be out soon!" shouted Meila as she rushed out.

Meanwhile, Mona who had to push the food trolley smiled and said, "Please enjoy the food, Your Highness. I'll be right back with the main course."

Faerie, who breathed a sigh of relief at finally being able to eat regardless of table manners, stopped when she heard the chef's words.

"What do you want to bring?" asked Faerie.

Mona answered with a carefree expression. "Main course, Princess."

Faerie reflexively pointed at the dining table which was already full of various foods. "Then what is this?"

"Ah? Those are appetizers, Your Highness!" Mona smiled and continued her explanation as if pleased with her master's interest, "As soon as Princess's appetite is aroused after eating this appetizer, ring the bell and I will immediately serve the Princess's favorite main course, then lastly and most importantly, the Princess's favorite dessert!"

Faerie opened her mouth slightly wide.

'So you're saying Princess Faerie was told to eat three different kinds of dishes that fill this large and long dining table?'

Faerie spontaneously looked at her stomach. This body's stomach is too small to be able to eat it all.

'There's no way I can eat it!'

When Faerie wanted to refuse to be served another dish, Mona had already pushed the food trolley out of the dining room and closed the door tightly.

'No! Don't goooooooo!' Faerie could only scream in frustration in her mind as she looked back and forth between the closed door and the dining table filled with various delicious foods.

'Who can eat this much food?!'

It felt like the hunger in her stomach had completely disappeared.

***

Faerie didn't know the last time she had eaten this much.

"Ah, I've eaten this much when I met God," muttered Faerie while sitting in a lazy position in front of the wide-open window.

Fortunately, the afternoon breeze that brushed the courtyard filled with fresh flowers allowed Faerie to feel refreshed instead of nauseous from being full.

Faerie closed her eyes and chose to focus on breathing in the fresh and fragrant air.

Even though Faerie has many things that make Faerie uncomfortable and difficult to adapt to the world of this novel. But fortunately, some things made Faerie feel comfortable in this foreign world.

Fresh air.

"That's because this novel world seems to be far from the threat of air pollution..." Faerie muttered under her breath as she gazed at the courtyard filled with various beautiful flowers.

While gazing at the vast courtyard filled with flowers, Faerie thought back to the foods she had eaten earlier.

"...At least this Princess's parents didn't neglect her at all, considering the previous ingredients were very fresh and of high quality," Faerie said as she closed her eyes so she could enjoy the fresh air more.

"But..." Faerie stopped her sentence and turned to look at her luxurious room which depicted that the owner of this room was a Royal Princess.

"Why are there only three maids in a mansion of this size? Isn't it strange? Doesn't this Princess feel lonely or scared?" Faerie started to wonder why this body only had 3 maids.

"Meila, 17 years old. The Princess' maid. No self-defense skills, but has healing powers." Faerie sighed as she didn't expect such an insignificant character to have healing powers.

While in the dining room earlier, she had activated her <Mind's eye> skill. Unfortunately, she could only glimpse the information, because there was something more surprising than Meila's information.

Faerie turned to the next piece of information that she had memorized perfectly. "Mona. Head chef."

"Well, that's pretty brief information." Faerie couldn't help but smile bitterly and once again wanted to curse the damn God.

Faerie remembered she was very surprised when the <system window> told her, that if she wanted to access more information about Mona, then she had to meet the terms and conditions first.

[Warning!]

[Information belonging to the target named 'Mona' is restricted.]

[If you want to access the information, please immediately start progress to change this world for the better!]

[For example; 'meet the main character and make him fall in love with you'...? ^_^]

"Aaaaaaaaarghhhhh!" Faerie groaned loudly.

"Does that mean Mona, the head chef of this mansion has an important background so I have to change the plot first?!" Faerie pounded the table in front of her in annoyance.

"Ouch!" Faerie grimaced when she saw her weak palms were completely red from hitting the table.

Luckily she only hit once, otherwise, this weak hand would swell up and end up breaking a bone.

She forgot that she didn't have her favorite bolster to hit her heart's content if she felt her temper want to explode.

"AAAAAA!" Faerie ended up just screaming in frustration. She kept screaming over and over again until she coughed. "Cough cough!"

She forgot that her neck had experienced an unpleasant incident and became sore every time she screamed.

'Maybe God didn't heal my neck,' Faerie thought, annoyed.

As she thought that, she reflexively touched her neck. She tightened the blue shawl she was wearing neatly tied around her neck.

Luckily, Meila and Mona didn't even ask why she was suddenly wearing a shawl.

'...Maybe this mansion's maid doesn't care about this body? Remembering when this body hanged itself, no one noticed....' Faerie started to think about it seriously.

"Aaahh! Why are there only 3 maids here?!"

However, she had to stop her thoughts when there was a double knock on her bedroom door. Then a polite voice respectfully calling her name was heard.

"Her Highness Princess Faerie."

"Y-Yes?" Faerie answered nervously because this was the first time anyone had addressed her with a completely respectful greeting.

"I heard Your Highness has already bathed and eaten. Do you want to do 'that'? If so, then I will prepare it immediately."

Faerie blinked her eyes in surprise. She was indeed surprised because it was the first time she heard the maid's voice. But she was more surprised by her words.

'Doing 'that' what?! Hey, Princess! What did you do after you bathed and eaten, that the maid just said 'that'?!' Faerie screamed in her mind in frustration.

"N-no! I just want to sleep because I'm full." Faerie hastily refused as she had no idea what the maid was talking about.

The atmosphere became silent.

It seemed that the maid was also surprised that Faerie refused to do 'that' which she should never have missed after eating and bathing.

"All right. I'll excuse myself then. Have a good rest, Princess."

Fortunately, the maid she didn't recognize immediately complied and left without further asking.

Faerie took a deep breath after hearing footsteps getting further and further away.

"Haaaaaah! Why is living in the body of a hidden character and destined to die so difficult?!"
