(PAUSED) One night, Faerie remembers that she wants to read a novel that was recommended by one of her students. Unfortunately, she forgets what the title was and decided to read another novel that she accidentally found on an old website. Because of how horrible the ending was, Faerie ended up leaving a review full of insults for the novel that has ended for years. It seems that this website has been dead and maybe she was the last visitor to this website. So she believes that her review won't be read by anyone. And just like that, Faerie left a review full of gag nonsense. "The worst ending in the world. If you, readers, agree with my opinions, gimme a million likes! Maybe there's a miracle for me to be transmigrated into this novel so I can change this shitty ending to becoming the best ending all of the time!" And now Faerie regrets her review that night. Faerie did transmigrate into the shitty novel by its writer who proclaimed to be a God. And her bad luck didn't end there. Faerie now possessed a hidden character's body whose destined to die at the hands of a tyrant. Now, what is Faerie supposed to do to change the shitty storyline into the best ending all of the time, and return to her life on Earth? --- Author's note: Related to chapters 01-13 which explains how the MC was able to enter the novel's world and why she was obliged to sign a contract by the Goddess with the reward: 'her life in her original world'. At the start of the story, I purposefully do not shorten and write in detail. That's because I want readers to feel the MC's mindset shift after meeting and interacting with all of the novel's characters, which was initially just focused on how to accomplish the contract. Although I am aware that you may become bored while reading 01-13, I encourage you to continue reading! Cause I am certain that this novel will not bore you! (Don't worry, this is a long story, and the MC definitely has more to do (ahem) with the Male Lead.) system (check) transmigration (check) werewolf / cursed ML (check) overpower MC (check) historical and fantasy world-building. "So..." God deliberately paused for a moment after secretly seeing a human's adorable behavior, "are you happy?"
Faerie, while stroking the brooch affectionately, nodded her head vigorously. "I am very happy!"
Faerie couldn't help but feel happy after having managed to bag a lot of guarantees which made the chances of her completing the contract, to be quite high.
With the things she currently had, Faerie even felt confident that she could bring the Empire to its knees before her.
'Hohoho! Of course, I wouldn't aim for that!'
"Yeah... You seem happy." God's long hair which was pitch black but also twinkled like several stars perched on the hair, fluttering gently even though there was no wind blowing towards the two of them.
Faerie for a moment couldn't help but fall into awe at the beauty in front of her. But it only lasted a few moments. Because Faerie quickly turned her gaze downwards.
The Gods smiled broadly because they noticed Faerie's expression was trying hard to hide her blushing face, like a tomato rotten from its sweetness.
"Pfft."
The God recalled a few minutes ago, Faerie, their beloved contractor who almost jumped at them. She intended to attack God with a passionate kiss.
Fortunately, God was able to quickly anticipate attacks that were harmless to their astral bodies, but on the one hand, could be harmful to their minds.
The thought that a human dared to kiss a God openly made the Gods burst into laughter as they recalled the incident.
"Indeed, you haven't changed." the God said subconsciously. Their black eyes slowly turned warm even if only for a moment.
Faerie, who pretended to be busy diverting her attention elsewhere, was taken aback by God's incoherent speech.
"Hm? Did you say something, Lord God?" Faerie asked in an innocent tone.
The God moved their hands lightly, ignoring Faerie's innocent question. "No, no."
Faerie tilted her head while God supported their chins with their hands, signaling something to Lena through their eyes.
"Huh? W-What?" Faerie blinked while trying to interpret what this God was doing.
"Finish all these cakes and drinks." Their eyes pointed to the food and drink that still filled the round table. "All of them. With nothing left."
"Uh... But I'm full..?" Faerie, who was hesitating, finally decided to honestly refuse.
She had already drunk a cup of tea, and it was enough to make her stomach bloat.
God looked back at Faerie's messy appearance from top to bottom.
Faerie looked thin. Her skin was white, almost pale. Fatigue and all sorts of other emotions still seemed to linger in her eyes, which were already quite calm.
With a dissatisfied expression, the gods rolled their eyes when their heard Faerie's words of refusal. "Eat."
"Umm..." Faerie groaned as if she was trying to hold something back from her mouth.
"I know you're exhausted after running around. Eat and drink as much as you can while you're here." said the gods while moving their fingertips so the teapot was poured back into Faerie's cup.
As if intending to cheer up Faerie, God decided to say something.
"I will return you to my world after finishing all the food and drink here, safely," said God again in a soft voice and a big smile.
Faerie was instantly captivated by God's very gentle voice, trying to comfort her. Faerie was touched for a moment because of their words which seemed to care so much about her current situation.
However, Faerie immediately realized something.
'Didn't I have to return to the trash novel world, ah, no, the world whatever it's called to complete the contract?!' Faerie glared at the God who seemed to be trying to trick her with soft words.
"Ha ha ha!" The God's face that was shrouded in the light let out a loud laugh after seeing Faerie's pleasant reaction.
God could easily guess all of Faerie's thoughts because of the adorable expression on her face.
Ignoring God's laughter, Faerie decided to focus on finishing all the food and drinks on this round table.
There was nothing to lose for Faerie to eat this free food and drink.
Moreover, most people say that delicious food and drinks can drastically change a person's mood.
So, Faerie munched on various desserts and took a sip of the refreshing warm green tea without hesitation.
The God turned their gaze in another direction while muttering softly. "...Seems like it was too much for her."
The contractor was busy devouring whatever was on the table, with tears in her eyes.
Seeing that made God feel regretful. However, God could do nothing but suppress their feelings and apologize in other ways.
'At the very least, the contractor will have to go through a difficult thing like this, if she wants to prove that my choice this time...'
'... will be different from before...'
"Eat this one too." God gave a variety of food and Faerie happily accepted it.
***
"Fuuuuuu...."
"I'm fuuuuuuuuuull!" Faerie shouted, along with a soft burp.
The round table that had been filled with various foods was now empty.
Faerie sat on a park bench in a lazy lying position.
The God who was sitting across from her, looked at Faerie with an inexplicable face as their faces shone so that their expressions could not be seen.
However, Faerie could see that God was looking at her with an expression of shock and disbelief.
'It's too early to be surprised! Let's see later! I will use everything you give me until there is nothing left!' Faerie began to have her ambition to spend the ownership of the God in charge of her until God had nothing left.
"Hehehehe.." Faerie laughed to herself. The God who heard that could only frown for a moment before starting the conversation again.
"You done?"
Faerie nodded quickly. "Yeah! I don't think I'm going to eat until tomorrow morning."
"Good. Let's go back." The God stood up, followed by Faerie who also stood up from her seat.
With a flick, the chairs and tables all disappeared.
Not only that, the surroundings, especially this holy temple, slowly began to turn into small particles.
Faerie couldn't help but be amazed, and subconsciously she asked. "What exactly is this place?"
"Temple," God answered curtly. It was clear that God had no intention of explaining further so Faerie decided to keep her mouth shut.
To be honest she didn't want to go back and chose to stay here if she could.
However, Faerie remembered the contract that gave her a gift, her life on earth. And also she remembered the advice of her grandmother who told her to always be responsible and never run away from the problems she had done.
Because of that Faerie could only silently curse her stupidity.
'Well, it's fine! I can try the second guarantee that God gave me if I have returned to that novel world!' Faerie tried to comfort herself.
Faerie tries to think of many pleasant things that will await her after arriving in the novel world so that she can forget for a moment her annoyance and misery that she experienced earlier and in the future.
The God who had seemed to be focused on doing something so that the atmosphere between the two of them was just silent, suddenly broke when the God started to say something.
"Faerie."
Faerie replied. "Yes?"
"... Did I tell you?" God's voice suddenly turned serious.
Faerie tilted her head, confused. "What is it, Lord God?" Faerie felt bad as the atmosphere around her turned heavy.
"The second reason is why you can't die except for 2 things."
Faerie shook her head timidly. For some reason, she didn't like the topic of conversation this time, but she had to listen to it because God seemed very serious.
"I'll tell you. But you have to promise to calm down, and remember correctly what I said later."
Faerie swallowed her dry saliva. She didn't want to promise anything that would hurt her, but the atmosphere around her forced her to nod stiffly.
The God stretched out their hands and gently caressed Faerie's soft cheek. Faerie was surprised but she didn't shake off the strange but warm hand that touched her face.
"I will never allow you to die unless it is time that you are destined to die."
"Huh?" Faerie was dumbfounded. She had a hard time digesting God's shocking words. "Huh...?"
"Don't worry! I would turn back time if you weren't fated to die!"
"W-What do you mean- uh, eh?" Faerie was surprised when she saw herself slowly turning into small particles as well.
"Goodbye, my beloved contractor!" The gods waved their handkerchiefs at Faerie with faces pretending to be sad.
Faerie who saw that trash act could only curse desperately in her heart.
'God damn it! At least explain before kicking me out!'
***
"Princess!" Someone's voice, which sounded indistinct and a bit far away, managed to wake up Faerie who had lost consciousness after meeting the God.
"Uh...." Faerie frantically looked around her.
She was at the end of a cliff. It only took one step, she would plunge into the river with the swift current she had seen before.
"...Well, at least God got me back safely."
Faerie said while re-tightening the thin blue shawl around her neck.
"But who was it that called me?" Faerie muttered while standing up. But her footsteps stopped when her feet touched something soft.
A thick furry rabbit with red eyes was between its legs.
"Aaah!~ So cute-" Faerie wanted to rub the rabbit's fluffy body, but she had to stop when she saw a transparent screen appearing in front of her.
"Oh." Faerie exclaimed in surprise after successfully recognizing the 'status window' that had suddenly appeared.
It was the second guarantee God had given her.
The knowledge that Faerie read from the novel, and some of the wise knowledge of the Gods about this world were combined into one, thus successfully forming a great and special skill for only Faerie alone.
This skill was named <Mind's eye>.
<Mind's eye> is a skill that can give Faerie a guide called <system>, where the system can make her see the status window containing characters and items information, an inventory to store unlimited items in another dimension that God lent her, and many other functions that Faerie doesn't know about.
'It looks very much like the games that children often play.' Faerie thought indifferently. Faerie wasn't interested in games at all, so she didn't know that the <system> she currently possessed was the dream of all gamers on Earth.
"Let's see if this skill is that good...."
Since this novel world had many characters with great skills, so it was only natural that at least Faerie, the only contractor of the God in this world, had a special skill that only her own.
Faerie looked at the white rabbit carefully. More precisely, her gray eyes focused on the transparent screen in front of her.
[Name: 4-Seasons of Rabbit.]
[Gender: Male.]
[Age: 5 years.]
[Personality:
> Smart and aware of the surrounding environment.]
> This rabbit likes all kinds of vegetables, especially the vegetables in the garden of the mansion at the foot of the mountain.]
[Special ability:
> Has perfect adaptability and immunity to all weather.]
> Has an unusual intelligence for herbivores in general so it is very difficult to raise but easy to train.]
> This rabbit is a rare animal that is quite unfriendly to humans, except for humans who are not wary of the rabbit.]
> Because their species is smaller and more agile than rabbits in general. This 4-season rabbit can be used for spy-related jobs if trained properly.]
[Current status: This rabbit is confused because he saw a strange human in front him.]
Huh?" Faerie's eyes opened wide at the explanation from the status window as she activated the skill of <Mind's eye>.
"What the... Isn't this a cheating skill?"
Finally! Faerie had completely entered the novel! Let's watch together Faerie's journey in the novel world to complete the contract!
