Sucked In

"Run for your life"! said Axel. The ground was soggy as I ran from a cupcake monster with four arms, two big red eyes, and fifteen legs.

Every time it ran, thirteen of the legs didn't touch the ground, they were all just jiggling around. I had no idea how it balanced itself. Suddenly, it punched my belly.

When I opened my eyes, my 11 year old sister, Ivy, was punching my belly to get me to wake up. I figured the cupcake in my dream was her.

"Stop it," I said, pushing her away as I jumped off the bed to change.

I can't believe that today was my birthday.

Today, I was getting a laptop. The first thing I did when I got it was to download Genshin Impact. My little sister always bragged so much about that game while I couldn't even play because I did not even have a device!

Since I always whined about not having a device, I finally got a laptop.

"Wow, mom!" I shouted.

I quickly opened it and downloaded genshin impact

My mom stared at me still smiling face with amusement

"Now you're not the only one with a device," I said to Ivy,

"Yeah sure," she mumbled with no feelings at all like she did not care. But I bet she did care.

It took a million hours to download.

But finally, "Beep beep beep. Warning. Cover your ears you do not want to hear this. I repeat. Cover your ears you do not want to hear this." Someone said, or something said.

The last things I heard were my mom and sister's last screams and shouts.

I saw my mom's hand grab onto my shoulder but it still sucked me in.

I could not see but white noise played in my ears as my heart racing fast and I felt and heard the thumping of my heart.

At last, I opened my eyes and gasped.
