We moved around the large hall which now seemed so empty in search of the pearl I had lost but could not find it. We had been searching for hours and even if I barely complained, I was exhausted.

My bones had long turned weak from all of the searches. Maybe the maids who cleared this place have swept it out. Someone must have seen it while sweeping, I hoped.

"If you don't tell me what it is you're looking for my lady, I'm afraid I can't help you find it." I could see the frustration on Pennyworth's face as he spoke. I felt pity for him, he had been nothing but helpful since I met him and now I'm punishing him for my carelessness.

"It's a pearl." At least telling him what it was would help me, but I wouldn't go into details about how I had obtained it. Else, Leviathan would not let me rest with his scolding.

"What colour is it?" He asked.

"It's black."
