Chapter Twenty Three: Shameless
Time passed as the clock ticked silently. A handsome gentleman was busy typing away on his laptop while a rather apprehensive woman was seated on a bean bag, fiddling with her phone.
Valerie had resorted to playing games. She hoped that would take her mind off Dolph's visit so Aiden wouldn't know.
Moments later, Aiden raised his head "So what did you do while I was gone?"
Valerie replied without pausing her game "Oh nothing! I just sat there, restlessly" Aiden chuckled. He could see she was so engrossed in winning whatever she was playing because that was the only thing her mind kept screaming: 'Win Valerie!'
"So you were all alone, huh? Must have been frustrating" he remarked again as he stared at the woman in front of him
"Yea yea, it was, really frustrating, Aiden stop talking, I'm gonna fail!" She scolded him and he smirked.
He was getting somewhere.
