Chapter Thirty: Amber

Dolph gently sat down on the bed in his room and ruffled his smooth hair. He sighed and closed his eyes, taking in slow, calm breaths.

It was evening

His mother had just finished giving him an earful about him finding his mate and bringing her home.

He honestly didn't know why they were nagging, it wasn't like he didn't have a mate. He did but, she couldn't feel what he felt for her. She didn't get the shocks of electricity anytime they had physical contact, and it was scary that she wasn't even thinking of him at all.

He opened his eyes and stared at his door and Valerie's face appeared in his mind. He smiled when he thought of her innocent eyes and smile and her scent that made him go crazy each time.

'Why can't she just love me back?'

His heart bled when he thought of the fact that she was even avoiding him. He knew Aiden must have said something to make her do that, and he regretted.

He regretted not meeting her before Aiden.
