Ekko made his way back home, but as he was, he noticed a certain flyer stuck to the wall. It was a missing poster for somebody's cat.
" Missing: Mr. Chubbers has been missing for 7 days, if you find him, please call this number, thank you." Then there was a picture of a really fat cat that has clearly been overfed and hasn't gotten enough exercise.
" Pfft what a plump kitten. Meh, maybe it's a kid's cat, what adult calls their pet Mr chubbers."

Ekko raised his brow at this new task. He wondered what it would be like to have a world run by cats, he imagined Ancient Egypt. Well, the choice was a no-brainer for him. He chose option one, with his powers he Could find that cat anytime in these 48 hours.
Ekko took a photo of the poster and started jogging back home. It took around an Hour before he made it back to familiar streets. Looking around he saw that the market was still bustling with life.
As he looked around he couldn't help but marvel at all the food and fresh goods there were there.
There were even fruits that he had never heard of before. This was the perfect time to shop for more food. No matter how good pre-prepared food was sometimes it just couldn't beat a good Home cooked meal. And since he would be living here from now on he wanted to get to know the vendors so if there were any deals on he would know.
Ekko went around buying meats, like steak and wagyu, he also brought some chicken and pork. Ekko also brought a rice cooker as he didn't have one as of yet.
That made him wonder if anyone ever actually lived in that house, or maybe it was in the basement. He would have to check the basement out tomorrow.
As Ekko was shopping for the most expensive fruits he has ever seen an old lady who sat down stared at Ekko like she had seen a ghost.
Ekko who was minding his own Business had had his face pulled down by the old granny who got up from her chair who knows when.
Ekko just looked at the old granny like she was crazy. Why did she grab his face so suddenly and why was she glaring at him so intensely? Even a few vendors who knew who the woman was were surprised by her bold actions.
"...."
" Oh, I'm sorry, where are my manners, I apologize for the sudden contact... it's just, you resemble someone I know dearly and with my old age I thought you might have been him."
Ekko finally understood her eccentric actions." It's fine no harm done."
The grandma smiled and then asked," I've never seen you here before, and since you're buying so many things including a rice cooker you must live around here."
" Oh, ye I just moved here from England just a day ago. I'm Ekko Makena Afia it's nice to meet you." Ekko expected the old granny to give him her name as well but instead, she just looked at him wide-eyed.' Huh did a say something wrong?'
" You...are you really an Afia, by any chance is your father Afia-San who lived on Yakushi Hill." The granny asked expectingly, the other vendors nearby who also heard the name Afia were also surprised.
"Umm, ye, he's my dad, how did you know." Ekko was surprised that they knew where he lived, did they know his father? Well, he wasn't my father but the other Ekko's father.
" Oh, knew I wasn't goings senile in my old age so you are Afia-sans Child, I would recognize those amethysts eyes from a mile away. Oh, when I heard the news that Afia-san had passed away I was so heartbroken. He was a really good man and a great soldier. It's good to know that he has his own legacy.
" I forgot to introduce myself, I'm Suzuki, Chio, and I'm the leader of the market district but you can just call me Obbasan, your father was basically my adopted son in all but papers."
Ekko was shocked, it looked like his dad was pretty popular and well known. And before Ekko could react the vendors that he had just brought stuff from all surrounded him and started talking to him and introducing themselves.
It looks like his dad was a local celebrity. And there was good reason for that. Around 15 years ago this place wasn't as peaceful or beautiful as it is today. Instead, it was filled with yakuza and gangsters everywhere. The people were terrorized and the police did nothing to stop it, after all as long as their pockets were full and they had no proof, what was there to convict?
The people of the town even felt like it would be better if they moved away from the city and headed to the countryside. That is until Ekkos's father arrived and moved into the abandoned inn on Yakushi Hill.
In those dark times, Kojo Afia his father after finding out about all the things that were happening in this town decided things needed to change.
so he decided to declare war on the whole underworld of the town. Fight after fight Mr. Afia took care of every single criminal or gang, busted every drug ring, and hidden prostitution house.
Any gang or yakuza who tried to get rid of him would find themselves completely destroyed instead.
