Chapter 296: The Deep Underground

As the dust settled and the rumbling ended, what left from the wide green field was nothing but a catastrophic battlefield where everything is destroyed. The land, trees, water, nothing was spared and seemingly due to the intensity of the battle, even the loot that was supposed to be guarded by the boss was missing.

All that left from that destruction was two silhouettes that came from the boss monster and Akito. Not long after when the smoke in between cleared, both of them can be seen tattered and bruised, as their body was clearly showing signs of breaking down.

Not long after Akito fell flat unto the floor, as he then started laughing weakly.

"I won... I actually won... I thought I would die here... haha..."

Apparently from that confrontation, Akito had come out victorious as he defeated the boss monster. However due to the stubbornness, will, and fighting spirit, the boss itself refused to fall even if it is defeated by an enemy. Due to that, the boss then died while standing in his final attacking position.

Nevertheless Akito barely won and manage to survive even longer in this island.

As Akito was reminiscing his victory, he then suddenly remembered Iris, as he quickly snapped out of his joy and limply rush towards the place where she should hide in safety. Even though the whole area is destroyed, he clearly remembers that Iris was hiding behind the mountain of loot that the boss should have been guarding. However after the fight, he can't seem to see where the loot is currently situated.

Not long after as he continues to frantically search for her, he suddenly fell on a ditch, with only a pocket pouch and an incantation spell inscribe on the ground. Seeing this spell, Akito initially mistaken it as a magic land mine, however upon seeing no reaction from it even if he moves a bit further from it, he then begun to reconsider the magic and slowly approach it to examine it.

Soon after his finger touched the surface of the inscribed magic, a mana letter came out from it as words begun to unravel on the uneven floor of the ground.

If your seeing this, that only means I'm dead. You should have protected me better you idiot! Now I'm dead and may perhaps get a low grade in this test. When we get home, I'll make sure to drill unto you on how to bodyguard your buddy even better!.

Anyway since I'm out of the game, I'm expecting much from you, make sure that this time you come out on top. Don't get tricked again by Shun. By the way I left this magic pouch here, all the essentials in order to survive are inside. You know food, water, and stuff. Anyway good luck

When Akito finished reading all of that, he couldn't help but laugh and feel sorry that Iris was eliminated. He is pretty sure that not only would he get a harsher bodyguard lesson from her, he would also be reprimanded by her father.

"Haha! I'm so dead"

But despite saying that, he was quite thankful that Iris left something for him to use. As long as what she said are inside the magic bag, he was confident that he would be able to survive longer.

On another part of the island, due to the explosion that came from the clash between Akito and the boss monster, a violent quake ruptured all over the island, as everyone held on for their dear lives. After all because of that quake, various landslide were happ3ning all over the area, followed by the ground cracking. Due to that they occasionally see pillars of light appearing from afar, as yhe students get eliminated one after another due to the disaster.

One particular area that was heavily affected by the aftershock of the clash, was Cedric's group area. Due to the attack, the ground beneath their feet gave out as the group itself rushed for their safety. Even though all of them rushed away from the collapsing ground, Sephiria herself was late to react, as she lost her footing and fell to the spil ground below. Upon seeing this, both Aria and Cedric tried to reach out their arm, only to realize that Sephiria was far out of reach from their hand. With this Cedric couldn't help but click his tongue, as Aria slightly begun to panic.

However as time passes, no pillar of light popped, giving all of them the idea that Sephiria had survived the fall.

"She is still in, she is not eliminated!" Exclaimed by Aria

"Yeah! Surprisingly she survived" said by Wendy

"Since she survived, we need to find a way to rescue her" said by Cedric

However as Cedric said those words, monster who were shaken up by the quake, rushed our from their hiding space, as they begun to violently rampage and causing a stampede. Looks like due to the aftershock, many monster were caught in distraught causing such reaction.

"Stampede! Crap! Wendy get Aria off the ground now, if we want to save Sephiria, we will need to survive this stampede first" Shouted by Cedric

With that all three of them hastily used their own spell in order to avoid the stampede, but avoiding  stampede was not an easy feat, due to that the three of them took quite awhile before they can safely evade the stampede and wait for it to settle down.

On the otherhand Sephiria herself manage to make out a cushion beneath her just in time, in order to prevent her head from hitting the floor. Due to that quick thinking, she was not eliminated and manage to held on to continue the exam. However the pit that she fell into was quite deep and consist of multiple passageway until she reach the bottom of the pit. In fact after the third passageway, she had already lost count on how many areas she had entered when she fell.

Due to that, she was lost.

However just as she was about to lose hope of getting out of this dark and damp place, an orb of light, suddenly popped out from the darkness of the pit, as four figures appeared out of the darkness. Soon after Sephiria's eyes widened in surprise as she saw Lorius and his group exploring this area.

"You... you guys..."

"Hmm? Your the chick that was with Shun right? What are you doing here?"
