Chapter 38 - Destroying the cave!

Chapter 38 - Destroying the cave!

After leaving the cave, once Maxmillan had made sure that no one else was within the cave since he would demolish the whole place soon to bring a total absolute end to the string of diabolical evil activities run by the Sky Bridges Lord, he immediately produced the Kinetic Supercharging Sword in his hand which began to produce nigh-inaudible whirrs and hums.

Lenna saw how a massively long sword appeared in Maxmillan's hands and couldn't help but shake her head in great awe and mind-blowing astonishment.

With a furious and determined swing of the sword at the cave, an enormous destructive burst of energy suddenly emitted from one of the numerous, energy-deluge projecting arrays of the sword and struck into the cave with a tremendous amount of devastating force.

Boom!

Once the burst of energy released by the sword struck the cave, countless cracks immediately appeared in its entire surface before it collapsed to the ground as piles of rubbles that littered the ground.

Immediately that happened, with Maxmillan waiting 1.5 seconds for the sword to load for another controlled, emissive burst of kinetic energy, he instantly swung the sword at the mountain.

Once he did that, a powerful burst of energy that caused the earth to seemingly groan and shake, instantly discharged from the sword and traveled at a tremendous speed towards the mountain to heavily impact it with a colossal amount of great destructive force that would effortlessly disintegrate mountains.

Boom!

Upon impact, the towering mountain immediately exploded into countless fragments that shot off in numerous different directions and angles.

"Well done, Maxie." Lenna came forward and patted Maxmillan on the shoulder with a proud and heavily impressed smile in her face.

She then said further with gratitude in her eyes, "Thank you for demolishing the cave and its network of underground tunnels. It won't allow a new baleful individual from some other territories to choose the cave for constant evil machinations and sinister operations."

"Yes mom, which is exactly why I destroyed it." Maxmillan said.

He then looked at his mom and said with an inexplicable look in his face, after gazing once again at the totally bloodied pieces of clothing that she wore, "Mom, I know that you went through a lot in the hands of that bastard. And I am terribly sorry for it. If not for the wrong decision I made, things wouldn't have turn out like this."

"Seeing you in this outfit that is entirely stained with blood, which is definitely as a result of that savage man wickedly torturing you out of pleasure and enjoyment, causes my heart to terribly ache and sting to no end. I feel greatly morose over it. If not that I had to destroy him quickly as he was too strong to dominate and slowly finish off, I would have engaged him in a long-span cataclysmal battle and make sure that after I had overpowered him, I will burrow deeply into his flesh with my fingers and slowly strip out his tendons and ligaments one after the other to make him understand what pain really is! And after all that is done, I will pull out his intestine, then his lungs and heart before ripping him into two with my bare hands." Maxmillan said with a fierce, blood-chilling dark expression in his face which made Lenna who stood before him to take several glances of absolute shock at him.

If not that Maxmillan was her son, she would think that the person standing before her was a pain-loving, demon-possessed dreadful fiend that she needed to quickly get away from.

A few moments later, after recollecting herself from the strongly bedazzled state that she was taken into by Maxmillan's ferocious statement, Lenna produced a smile in her face and walked forward by a few short steps to hold Maxmillan's hands before beaming a radiant smile in her face, "Dear Maxie, it's okay. As you can see, your mother is doing perfectly fine and great. Besides, seeing you stand in front of me, with the feeling of greatness, fearsomeness and unrivaled indomitability emitting from your figure, I am exceedingly happy. What else can I possibly ask the world for? If not for this. That my child who is totally incapable of using Astra Mystralis in an Astra Mystralis-powered world, can still protect himself and his beloved ones from danger and help ward off the cold hands of death that would appear to reap their lives."

"Although I don't know how you came across this kind of otherworldly power that transformed your figure and imbued you with great strength and other numerous abilities that I am yet to witness, I however hope that it stays with you for eternity."

Maxmillan smiled and nodded his head.

"Don't worry about that mom. It will stay with me for eternity." He said.

He then looked at her and said, "Mom, there is something that I want to do. There is a Magiwolf that I want to capture and tame into my magical mount. It should have fled due to the loud booming sounds that rang out moments ago and caused the earth to intensely shake. I want to capture it and make it my docile magical pet."

"Okay." Lenna said with a brilliant light of understanding in her eyes.

She then said further with a smile in her face, "If you would like, I can go with you to help capture the Magiwolf that you have set your eyes upon. With my magical tracking ability, I should be able to track down the Magiwolf and leave it for you to do your thing. Are you okay with that?"

"Absolutely mom. I have okay with it." Maxmillan immediately said with the nod of his head.

"Alright. Let's go before it flees too far and renders my magical tracking ability less effective." Lenna said and began to utter words that Maxmillan understood should be tracking-purpose magical spells.

Once Lenna finished uttering the magical spell that was composed of a single bisyllabic word, her eyes immediately turned completely white, while everything in her vision instantly vanished to reveal only the living beasts that still roamed within a thousand meters around the valley.

As she looked around in search of the Magiwolf magical beast that Maxmillan mentioned, she saw one that was really large in size and had a thick hide that was many times darker in hue than the other Magiwolf beasts that were fleeing in random directions because of the terrifying booming sounds that rang out many moments ago and frightened them off.

'Let me choose this particular one for Maxie. He absolutely wouldn't like these smaller ones.' Lenna said within herself with a smile in her face. While Maxmillan who was gazing at his mom in shock, discovered something totally new about her. That she wasn't a low-level or average-level caster of Astra Mystralis, but a high-level one, or probably a superbly-proficient peak-level one, since the magical prowess that she just displayed in front of him with great effortlessness, fit in the category of tremendously skilled users of Astra Mystralis.

'This is in no way magical spellweaving at the domestic level. It's definitely much more than that. My mom must be a really good user of Astra Mystralis. Perhaps she is trying to hide her strength and true prowess because of some reasons best known to her.'

'Although she might not be at the level of an Astra Spellcraft Commander, she however looks sufficiently powerful and strong enough to take on one. I will surely ask her about it with the hope that she gives me the answer I want.' Maxmillan said within himself as he gazed at his mother's shining and luminous pure-white eyes that invoked the feeling of a slumbering tyrannical power within him.

"Maxie, let me lead you to where the Magiwolf is. I have discovered it." Lenna suddenly said while Maxmillan nodded his head and prepared to follow his mother, only to find her dashing off in the air into the distance, seeming as if she stepped on unseen solid platforms that levitated many inches above the ground.
