Victor and Andre focused on the aircraft, while Renault remained oblivious. If he knew, he probably wouldn't refuse; as long as there was money to be made, he'd be on board.
Of course, the condition was that the transport process wouldn't pass through heavily fortified anti-air defenses or attract missile attacks due to the cargo onboard.
"Commander, these drones are so annoying. I never knew these little things could be such a nuisance. Can't we just shoot them down?"
SPAS-12 asked impatiently as she watched the dozen or so drones circling the aircraft.
Although she had switched the aircraft's identification code to Sangvis Ferri's, these drones seemed unfamiliar with such a large Sangvis Ferri unit that could fly. The identification code had just been authenticated, but the subsequent visual confirmation was stuck.
These drones hovering in the area kept circling around the gunship.
They didn't attack, but they didn't leave either. They just kept circling the aircraft, and by now, it had been nearly ten minutes.
"Why don't you send them control signals yourself? If you don't want to be distracted, just let those dozing guys behind help," HK416 suggested. It was clearly not worth wasting a bunch of cannon shells on a few insignificant drones.
So, before coming out, all of G11's gaming consoles were forcibly left at home by HK416. With nothing else to do besides dozing off, there was no point bringing them along.
And it seemed like she had infected the several T-Dolls inside the cabin, as besides Executioner, all the others were either sleeping or looking out the window with furrowed brows, just like G11.
"Uh... Executioner, can you help?" SPAS-12 smiled and gestured outside to the drones.
"Huh?" Hearing someone call her, Executioner snapped out of her daze and looked in the direction SPAS-12 pointed. She immediately spotted the drones circling around.
"This is..." Seeing the drones and comparing the terrain outside with the data in her database, Executioner quickly recognized where they were.
"Isn't this...? How did we end up in Hunter's operational area? How did you know I wanted to come out to find her? And how did you know this is..."
"What are you thinking? You probably didn't even bother to read the mission data you received, did you? Not far ahead is Vola Optical Equipment Company's factory. If you want to find someone, you'll have to wait until we get the stuff and make the handover."
Upon hearing Executioner's surprised voice, Renault didn't want to say anything more.
After all, he hadn't invaded Sangvis Ferri's servers; how would he know this was Hunter's operational area?
"Uh... Well..." Hearing Renault's words, Executioner was momentarily stunned, then sighed helplessly.
Forced by circumstances, she had no choice but to relent... Where did this guy Renault come from? How could he as a human, render her, an elite Sangvis Ferri doll, helpless? Was she living in a novel?
As she pondered, Executioner also took action. Not physically, but mentally, she established contact with the drones circling outside the aircraft like headless flies.
With Executioner as the elite Sangvis Ferri doll in control, these drones which had been jumping back and forth between successful and failed identity verifications, suddenly calmed down and obediently flew alongside the aircraft on both sides or behind it.
"Now you should be able to directly contact Hunter, right? Since this is Hunter's operational area, Sangvis Ferri's signal transmitters probably cover this area."
"I can." Hearing Renault's words, Executioner's expression darkened. Could it be that Renault wanted to do something through her to Hunter?
"In that case, why are you here frowning? Waiting for my approval? If you want to contact her, contact her. I'm not stopping you."
"You? Aren't you afraid I'll call Hunter over to attack you?" Hearing Renault's carefree tone, Executioner couldn't help but wonder how... how he was completely unconcerned about Sangvis Ferri's threat?
It was known that Sangvis Ferri had long been portrayed on the human side as a ruthless rogue force. Yet this person...
"You and Hunter are all advance combat units, right? Do you have heavy weapons? No? Or do you think those drones outside and some little Dinergates like the skirmishers can threaten us?" Renault scrutinized the Fortress, which was getting closer and closer.
Hearing Renault's words, Executioner's mind hadn't even turned a few circles before she realized that all the T-Dolls sitting beside her had already awakened, and all their eyes were fixed on her, as if they would tear her apart at Renault's command!
Faced with the stares of several T-Dolls, Executioner instinctively turned her head away, wiping away the cold sweat without a trace.
Well, with the strength in Renault's hands, Hunter probably had no way out, and this aircraft was not something Hunter or her reconnaissance units could shake.
If Hunter really came charging over, who would be delivering whom?
...
"After reaching the landing zone, deploy the formation immediately..." Standing in the command room, Gentiane looked at the situation on the command system while calmly issued orders one after another.
Although this time was just to retrieve the two members of AR Team, she still tried to maximize the destruction of Sangvis Ferri's forces whenever possible.
Although compared to the seemingly endless droids of Sangvis Ferri, annihilating a few hundred droids at a time was just a drop in the bucket, but as long as they persisted, and came every now and then, Gentiane would eventually be exhausted.
Although the number of Sangvis Ferri droids in this area exceeded the estimate in the intelligence, with a sizable contingent accompanying them this time, even if the number of Sangvis Ferri dolls doubled, it wouldn't be a significant problem.
But compared to a Pyrrhic victory, Gentiane hoped for a clean and neat win... On an emotional level, she didn't want to lose her tactical dolls, even though backups of their mental clouds had been made before departure...
If the T-Dolls were damaged, the new bodies would still require base funds for procurement!
"Commander, why don't we just launch an attack on those Sangvis Ferri forces directly? Our firepower is more than enough..." As Gentiane continued to issue incomprehensible orders to M4A1, M4A1 couldn't help but ask.
