Chapter 357: Repeating the Old Trick

There was a reason Executioner rushed forward directly. Her only long-range attack method was the gun in her left hand, but she had to rely on a small pistol to shoot down two mechas. It was highly unlikely without careful calculation.

Compared to the pistol in her hand, the giant sword she wielded was far more practical in this situation.

The two mechas in front of her resembled the Minotaurus used by the military, but their paint was entirely black and red. At first glance, the color scheme looked somewhat like the products of Sangvis Ferri.

However, this Minotaurus was not produced by Sangvis Ferri. The military equipment produced by Sangvis Ferri was painted green as soon as it left the factory. Once delivered to the military, they would further modify these droid units, adding more powerful weapons or equipping them with thicker armor.

If she had known she would encounter such units today, she would have directly requested heavy firepower units from Intruder before leaving. Unfortunately, Intruder may not have control over these things.

Even if she did, it was highly unlikely she would give them to her, as a vanguard combat doll, because she was just an ordinary vanguard in Sangvis Ferri's command sequence.

Before the drivers of the two mechas could assess the situation on the Sangvis Ferri side, Executioner had already reached the foot of one of the mechas. She swung the black giant sword in her hand, aiming directly at the mecha's leg joint!

The mechas driven by these human PMCs were very similar to the Minotaurus used by the military, both in terms of armor and joint protection.

The pipelines that would normally be visible were now wrapped in a soft protective layer. This layer was as effective as light armor plates, making it resistant to small-caliber weapons and grenade fragments. If a normal tactical doll faced this giant, it would inevitably be defeated with no chance to fight back.

Even rifle or machine gun dolls equipped with armor-piercing ammunition would struggle to penetrate the mecha's weak points.

After all, the mecha... moves.

With the shooting skills of tactical dolls, it's possible to hit moving targets...

But landing a successful shot isn't enough. After penetrating the surface protective layer, one would need to destroy the internal circuits and mechanical components. This requires the dolls to continuously and accurately target those critical points.

The key is that, when firing, the mecha doesn't rush in to kill them first...

Whether it's the mecha's enormous weight, the launcher mounted on its shoulder, or the weapon in its hand, all of these pose fatal threats to tactical dolls. A mere touch would be enough to kill or severely injure a tactical doll that hasn't replaced its bulletproof body.

However, since Griffin invests so much in dolls, they should have replaced the dolls' bodies with bulletproof armor.

But even bulletproof bodies only protect against bullets from light weapons, not missiles flying from the sky or armor-piercing rounds designed to penetrate armored targets.

Even a high-explosive bomb, used to destroy bunkers and eliminate infantry units, is beyond the resistance of tactical humanoids if the charge is increased. Armored vehicles and tanks might not survive such blasts, let alone tactical dolls that have only been fitted with bulletproof bodies.

I've strayed off-topic. Now, Executioner's giant sword, swung with her enhanced arm, broke through the soft protective layer with little delay. The blade even sliced through the joint mechanism inside the protective layer!

After a harsh sound, the mecha's joint, which should have been incredibly strong, was actually cut into a gap by Executioner!

The sparks from the metal collision, mixed with the lightning flashing from the gap, lit up the excited smile on Executioner's face!

"This is the kind of big guy that's easy to chop!" Executioner shouted, turning to slash at the other knee of the mecha!

Perhaps due to her familiarity with the sensation of chopping through joints, this strike was even fiercer than the first, slicing cleanly through the mecha's calf along the weak link of the joint!

Of course, aside from the fact that Executioner's arms were much larger than those of other Sangvis Ferri Elite dolls, it was also the giant sword in her hand, which appeared to have some kind of armor-piercing feature, that made her two attacks so effective.

Otherwise, with her reckless approach, the weapon in her hand would likely have broken.

A dazzling arc of electricity burst forth from a device mounted on the mecha's other arm!

Executioner, closest to the mecha, was the first to be affected, instantly engulfed by the electric current!

"What the hell is this?! Ahhh!" The powerful electricity surged through her body, and Executioner was sent flying forward, just like the mecha that had fallen earlier!
