The 14-year-old Shawn Roland proceeded to pour the chopped carrots from the surface of the chopping board, watching as they slid right into the pot.
After all the ingredients had been added, he and his brother then set a timer, waiting for around 10 to 15 minutes before they removed the pot and transferred all they had cooked into another pot while they prepared the noodles.
Just like that, time flew quickly and before they knew it, they were done with cooking and began cleaning up the chicken. Shawn turned off the cooker and gathered the used utensils while Lucas made a simultaneous effort to wash them as his brother scooped up the broth before he took the food with him to the dining table.
"Tada, bon appetit!" He announced, trying his best to mimic a French chef while dropping plates on an already arranged dined.
"Chicken soup and noodles, yum." Stacy licked her lips, then picked up a fork as she looked at the meal with brightly lit eyes, eager to dig in.
"Sta..."
Before Emily could correct her daughter's manners, the sound of a loud car horn from outside invaded everyone's ears.
"It seems your father's back in time for dinner. Shawn, I'll prepare the plates. Just hurry and go open the gate," Emily said, looking ecstatic as she rose from the chair.
"Alright, mum,” Shawn wiped his hands with the napkin before heading towards the door, walking a few steps out of the house, and proceeded to open the gates for his father.
Later, his father drove into the compound and parked the car at the garage; Shawn, out of respect, walked forward and helped him with bringing his luggage which just included a bag.
"I smell something nice here, whose cooking?" Nick smiled at him.
"Lucas and I," Shawn replied.
"Good." Nick then pushed the door after turning the handle, and the first thing was the aroma of chicken wafting into his nostrils.
"It's Shawn's turn to cook today!" Emily exclaimed while standing in front of the door with a happy look.
"Oh really, I bet I'm going to love it." Nick smiled, bending over to pick her up as he walked further into the dining.
Still in his corporate wear, Nick removed his suit to rest upon a chair's back and immediately sat on it while looking at the plates under him.
"He had a lot of help from me!" Lucas invaded with a proud smile while holding his head up high.
"This is delicious!" Nick remarked.
"Better than Shawn's first time cooking," Emily giggled.
"Mom!" Shawn yelled.
"What? Do you want to be reminded of how much salt you added to the rice at that time?" Emily's smile widened while her eyes conveyed seriousness.
"And don't forget the time that we were presented with golden black pancakes," Nick joined in the teasing.
"And I haven't forgotten about the extremely spicy pasta. My poor tongue almost got burned from eating it," Lucas added, pouring more salt into the wound.
"You guys are ganging up on me because my cooking is so delicious and it's not fair," Shawn huffed before pursing his lips.
After having a lovely meal with his family, he went up to his room to enjoy a good night's rest. He had been getting tired lately so it wasn't easy for him to not get sleepy once he got on the bed.
In a few minutes, he slept off and opened his eyes, only to hear a notification informing him that he would soon find himself in another world of his own, Creator Sim.
*Logging creator into the world.*
Upon entering, Shawn decided to continue the work that he hadn't finished during his short nap.
"I have to complete it," He repeated to himself and while doing what he does, he was also thinking about the quest that demanded him to perform a specific action. A sudden thought entered his mind, "Can I create a holiday?"
*Yes!*
"I want to declare every first day of every three months in a year, a day called New Quarter Festival."
*What does the festival consist of?*
"It causes the individuals in the world to have a bit of buff and more strength in their bodies than during the normal days of the three months.
It also involves changes in the constitution of power for the energies of babies or NewBorns who are brought into the world to be a bit more powerful than their peers. The change is different for every first day in three months.
During the first New Quarter festival, the babies born are expected to have the ability to thaw the lands or bring in a bit of heat.
The second new quarter festival allows the babies born to be more inclined towards water-generated skills and can cause precipitation.
The third new quarter festival brings babies born on that day to have the ability to make the land dryer than it initially looks.
The last new quarter festival brings babies born on that day to call forth the cold winds into the environment they live in.
That way, the babies born would have either the thaw ability, which is to melt, the precipitation ability, which would cause them to generate water to cool the environment, or they would have the dry ability, which would evaporate every ounce of water or life from the area around them successfully being the opposite of the precipitation ability.
The last is the frost ability, which might be very common; one can make an area under them have extreme cold or weather and make the land freeze up. Note that these abilities can be used at will, controlled and empowered as the individual ages and uses it more."
The moment he was finished, a resounding ding echoed in his ears.
*Congratulations you have completed the act of placing an event in your world. You have received the reward of 1,000 CP.*
"Alright then."
"Time to finish the plan which I should have done long ago," He said, promptly beginning to continue his job in the western portion of the world.
He continued to work on the western islands, raising the land level using the power called raise. Raise was in the power tabs and depicted with a raise to power symbol ^.
Using a raise, he could increase the level of anything that he touched, be it water or land. After using it to shape the new continent he decided to do something that should have been done earlier.
He looked towards the silver-white wolf that was in the white room, patiently sitting on the couch.
"As the ancestor of your race, would you love it if I placed some of them on the Western continent?" He asked.
Blan replied, "Anything that you wish or deem fit master. As long as they are safe and it doesn't cause their downfall or destruction."
"Alright, then, the Silver Grey wolf clan should be ready."
"But how master? I am dead and I can no longer pass on your instructions."
"Don't worry, I always have something up my sleeve," Shawn replied with a grin before turning to the back, where he checked the powers tab, citing a skill called unchosen chat.
Unchosen Chat - Allows one to communicate with one or people who are not overseers or higher beings.
"Cool." Shawn thought before activating the power. A view of Ornio came to him and he chose the eastern plains of the northern continent.
*Choose the form you want to appear as.* The Voice of the System echoed before a long list of pictures appeared in front of him.
"Time to start doing selective removal."
Meanwhile, in the eastern plains, A group of wolves from Blan’s clan were walking along the vast open plains looking for food while scouting across the plains for prey.
All of a sudden, a floating eye suddenly appeared in the sky, and an authoritative voice spoke into the minds of the wolves, commanding them, "Look, up, young ones!"
The Wolves, not knowing where the voice came from, instinctively looked up and were met with a large eye staring right at them. Their instincts screamed for them to run, but their legs failed as fear and shock overcame them. Hence they could only remain rooted in their spot.
"Do I look that intimidating?” The voice they heard spoke directly from the eye, echoing all over.
One of the wolves, unable to deal with the shock, suddenly collapsed to the ground and lost consciousness.
Another of the wolves was so terrified that it couldn't speak but one of the wolves mustered enough courage to reply, its skin being grayish silver in color, "With all due respect, eye of the sky. Your presence is really unlike any other and it frightens our fragile hearts."
"How courageous of you," The Voice from the eye spoke with a hint of excitement.
"I want you and your fellow wolves to do me this favor."
"What is this favor that you request for a great eye?" the wolf lowered its head, sneakily trying its best to calm down.
"Tell the members of your clan to follow you. Those who do will be taken to another land where they would be given a chance to thrive in a land other than the plains"
"But if I ask great eye. What use is this new land for?" The Curious Wolf probed. "Your ancestor, the Silver white wolf Blan, has impressed me with his achievements. Naturally, I wish to repay his service and make your kind a strong race,"
"Great eye...how can we get the others to believe and follow us to agree on going to this. . . new land you speak of?" The Brown wolf, who had been mute throughout, out, finally mustered up the courage to speak through he stammered.
"Tell the leaders of your clan that the master of your ancestor who made his life much longer than the average wolf spoke to you," The voice said and immediately, the floating eye suddenly vanished from their eyes as if it was never there to begin with.
The silver-gray wolf looked at its companions, who were still frozen from the presence of a floating eye, "Let us go and tell the elders of our clan," He said.
They waited for the wolf that fainted to wake up, informing him of the news then journeyed back to one of the largest plains in the west of the northern continent.
"Who did he say that he was? This rye5 that you claimed to have seen?" said a wolf with glistening white fur.
"The Eye claimed to be the master of our ancestor who helped him to live longer than the average us" The Silver Wolf replied.
The White Wolf quickly turned her head to look at the other five wolves who were listening to their statements, "If it is him, then..."
"We have to obey. Grandfather told us that anyone that powerful was not to be trifled with,"
"In that case let us pick clan members to go into this new land."
The wolves all nodded in agreement, not even bothering to question their existence.
