Classes

Shawn watched as the world evolved with the Higher being's interference while he simply remained on a couch; beside him lay a figure with four legs, a tail, and silvery white skin. It was none other than Blan who was now bound to him and could now stay and watch as events in the world went by. Still seated on the couch, Shawn pondered about his ongoing quest, "What action to perform on the world?” he repeated the sentence a few more times before shaking his head.

"It could be a one-time thing or maybe a series of events that would happen as a pattern or at a certain time; either way, it has to be something, but not just anything," he said, complicating matters for himself before raising his palm to rub his finger.

Unbeknownst to him, Blan was staring, looking concerned by his uncalled exclamations and murmurs. "What bothers you master?" The Wolf Ancestor summed up courage and asked.

"Nothing, I'm just wondering about what I should implement in the world for its development," Shawn replied.

All of a sudden, a bright light descended in front of the duo, revealing a figure once it dimmed; it was none other than Kadan.

"It seems, I should put out an information regulation system here," Shawn thought.

*You wouldn't dare*

"Oh really, in that case, try me then." He taunted, unaware of the grin forming underneath.

Suddenly, he felt a hand tap on his elbow and promptly raised his head, "What is it Kadan?"

"Master," Kadan bowed, "I hope, I didn't interrupt you?"

"No, you didn't," Shawn replied with a bashful smile.

"I've come to seek your advice. This act of gathering followers to believe in gaining knowledge and moving on towards the path of enlightenment. I've chosen a group of people to travel across through the inland north and one day, I plan to spread my thoughts to the other races,"

Shawn placed a hand on his chin pretending to contemplate the matter, “Well if you think your way of enlightenment is ideal then you might be wrong,"

Kadan's eyebrows raised in surprise, "Really how?"

"The word enlightenment cannot be based on just traveling and journeys alone. It involves knowing how the world works through the ideas formed from a medium. For example: a person who uses the staff and a mage as well would not know that the ideal method he uses is true until he sees the different ways a staff is used by another mage of the same or different race.

If he observes well enough, he’d be able to discover that the effects are the same, iit'sjust the movements which are different or silent but their similarities just happened to be used in casting mana,"

There was a long silence when he finished,

"Thank you, Master," Kadan bowed, lowering his head even further than when he arrived, "You're welcome," Shawn smiled in response, watching as Kadan stepped back before a bright yellow light flashed in his eyes and the Higher being disappeared.

*Time to log off.*

"I was already wondering when that would come as I remained here for an unusually long time?" He thought in response.

*3, 2, 1*

Like that, he left the world with his current progress and woke up. This time, however, he didn't hear an alarm, so he checked the clock and discovered that he had been asleep for more than 15 minutes since when the alarm rang. "What the heck!" He hastily rose from his bed and ran to the bathroom. Fortunately, his mother didn't wake him up this time, so he cleaned his face, brushed his teeth, and got to bathing before rushing out and towards the dining where the meals had already been prepared.

His mum was busy cooking the morning meals for the family, and Lucas always took himself to school. "You are quite behind schedule today," Emily said while looking at a watch as Shawn rushed down the stairs.

"Mum, I've got to get ready for school," he said as he sat on the chair and started to hurriedly before running to his room to pack things, including his laptop. Today was the day that the school had a special class dedicated to Coding and he would have to take his PC since he had one.

"Don't slump it all down relax." His mum advised. After he was done with breakfast, he rushed to the car and waited for his dad. A few minutes passed, and Nick came to the car to drive his kids off from the compound, onto the street, and off to school.

When they reached the school, Shawn got down, thanked his father, took his younger sister to school, and went to class.

Thankfully, he didn't see the guy named Richard when he was in the corridor leading into the classroom. Upon entering, he walked to his desk, the third seat in the second row starting from the right door. There he dropped his bag on the chair and glanced at other students.

Though he greeted some of them, the reactions he received were mixed; some answered, and others didn't. So he just took his notes for the assembly, which would officially start at 7:45. A few minutes had passed, and the loud ringing of an electronic bell echoed all over the school, prompting students to hurry out and into the school hall. There Shawn stayed in line where his classmates stood. Though he always waited, some students simply just walked over to the hall if they had nothing to do in their classrooms before the bell rang.

Others who came after 7:45 am would have to drop their items in the late students' section at the school gate before taking their notes and pens and heading straight for the hall.

The morning procession began with the singing of hymns by the choir. Other activities, such as the daily prayer, would come afterward with students sitting down on their chairs to be given a morning talk by the teachers, which must be penned down.

Next was a daily presentation on any topic anyone had in mind be it electronic or oral. And, after that, one of the high-ranking teachers would come forth to give information and notices from the school.

With all being cleared, the students then went back to their classes for the periods to begin. The first two periods would be dedicated to coding which was one of Shawn's favorite programs.

He always wanted to design a program and use it to make money. That way he could have extra to spend except from that which was given to him by his parents. The instructor for the class arrived and gave a series of exercises after teaching which they had to master. One period for teaching and the other for testing and problem identification.

That was what the school management intended by putting the class inside the schedule, but the way how it would be done would depend entirely on which teacher was teaching. The teacher for the day was Edwin Rogers. Edwin happened to be a very sound programmer and an excellent teacher of the language they learned

The bell rang, telling the students to leave the classroom for another batch to come in.

Returning to their classrooms, the next class was a joint class for the entire grade for classrooms A and B. Upon returning, Shawn heard a voice calling out to him, and upon identifying who it was, his face changed drastically, as if he had just eaten a fly on the way back.

Richard Dawson had just approached the poor boy with a smirk, "Where is it? Today is the day. Surely you shouldn't have forgotten it at home?" Richard added, his smirk transformed into a mocking grin.

Shawn cursed internally at this scene, "Damn it!"

He wondered how he could perfectly counter Richard and after looking at the latter for a few seconds, he decided to say it, "You see, a student from the other class came to ask that I teach him how to solve the questions, which I did.”

“How is that?”

“I went to the other class while holding my notes for reference.

The math teacher, who happened to have his eyes on me, demanded that I submit my assignment on his table, and I couldn't disagree. I taught the guy and proceeded to drop my note at one of the staff offices,”

"You did explain in detail, huh?" He thought to himself while staring at Richard's examining gaze.

"So, literally, all that you're saying is that you just recently submitted your assignment?" The Kid questioned with a raised eyebrow.

"Yes I have,” Shawn answered.

"Then how come you taught the guy before you went to submit?" Richard asked a second with the eyebrow still raised.

"Do you think that I didn't consider it?"

He answered, "You see, the question was only a single question before I went to his office."

Richard, seeing that he could not find any constructive argument, decided to leave but not before glaring at Shawn, “Since you couldn't wait to not give me your note, why don't you help with our brains and memory? Since we have a class, tomorrow would be a good start” He said while walking away with the same annoying grin he had from the beginning.

"He came to bother you again?" Stephanie's voice startled him as she appeared from behind.

"I think he did this time but I won with reasoning," Shawn replied while jubilating lithely in his head.

"That's good because Richard never attacks unless he has a strong reason or loophole to take advantage of. What a strange kind of bully,” She shrugged.

Regardless, Shawn was still scared. His math assignment was still with him and he hadn't submitted it. He had just told the lie to get the bully away. If the teacher should come check everyone's homework and Richard saw his being given a nod then he was in trouble.

"What am I going to do?" He screamed in his mind. Remembering his mum's words concerning situations like this.

"Always be cool, calm, and collected, or you'll just fall into internal turmoil and agitation, let you want to spoil your chances.." He repeated those words as everyone sat at their chairs and in front of their desks because the classes had started.
