Chapter 30 - Weather Forecasting Thawns.

The bluish white to bluish grey and all other blue coloured rocks were what dotted the mountains located there in the north west of the taiga and tundra.

These lands happened to be close to the sea and to reach the seas, one had to pass through the mountains that blocked the view.

The thawns made their houses from white blocks which were made from fused snow and stones. They also used snow mana so making something freezing enough to glue together snow and stones made them quite formidable.

Having been resistant to the cold climate due to Shawn's words, made them quite formidable. They made their houses out of snow which was compressed to mix with the stones and rocks that they could gather from the mountains.

They would then gather the rocks and combine them before piling up with snow and molding them into blocks. Then with their use of mana they were able to harden the blocks to become even more solidified before they went on to construct houses that had resemblance to igloos.

Within the white blocks, were wooden sticks gotten from frost resistant trees that managed to sprout and were used to hold the structure of the house.

One fateful morning, the thawns woke up with their bodies now energized and ready to go on their daily routine of hunting, building and gathering.

However in the process of leaving, one of the thawns remained, looking at the skies, wondering what the weather could be for the moment.

"Ulkezi. Come now, it's time to go hunting" One of the Thawns fellow friends called out.

"I'm coming Roleiz. I just want to see if there might be presence of strong winds or storms that'll hinder our movement in the snow while hunting" Ulkezi replied.

"Alright. When you are done looking weirdly at the sky you can meet me in the trees. I'll be waiting" Roleiz said before moving on.

"Hmmm." Ulhezi's eyes squinted as the wind blew against his black hair"They seem to be coming from the north east towards the south west which is where Roleiz went. The winds might be against us if we are going to try returning home. Also the uneven and sloppy terrain is the most crucial towards the cause of an avalanche"

The moment he said all that, he started running towards the trees yelling, "Roleiz let's go through another direction!"

"What on blue earth are you talking about?" Roleiz glanced at him with a raised brow.

"Let us go now" Ulkezi said as he walked towards his friend, held his hands and proceeded to drag him away from going into the forests.

After countless tries and also failing to free himself from his grip, Roleiz obliged, letting Ulhezi freely drag him away across the snow back to the village.

"Who knows if your crazy staring at the clouds and bringing up random stuff might pay off and save our lives," he said with a sarcastic tone.

The duo left from the south west and moved to the north of the tribe, while traversing the snow lands for hunting, Roleiz noticed that the winds seemed to have gotten a bit fierce.

"I wonder what exactly happened. This thawn's prediction has gotten a bit better but he couldn't probably be that true?" he thought.

The rest of the day continued with the duo going about their day hunting creatures and animals for game.

By the time they returned to the tribe they were taken by surprise at the level of change that had covered the tribe as the atmosphere felt a bit gloomy when they entered.

"What happened?" Ulkezi said, asking a fellow Thawn.

"Some of the Thawns who went out hunting and gathering never came back for anything. It seems like they were buried under the impending avalanche"

After hearing the news, Ulkezi glanced at the Thawns who had their faces hung low with furrowed brows. They were the family members who had not returned after going on the hunting and gathering trip.

"It seems like I was right,"

"I am also correct for following you to the northwest," Roleiz said.

"We managed to find a few bodies but we could not find the rest of them" Another Thawn announced.

"The Thawns then began to cover the bodies with snow before using their mana to turn the snow into ice by compressing it to form a round ball with the body within it.

After a few days had passed, the bodies of dead Thawns were being carried covered in cubes of ice. The Thawns carried these bodies to a nearby cave not far from their settlement.

The cavern contained absolutely nothing but rocks and a large area. As their final act of farewell, they pulled the ice cubes into the cave and kept them close to each other while carefully keeping them safely apart.

The moment the rites were finished, the tribe went on to sleep in their various white houses. Some of them kept a burning touch in their homes simply because they needed to warm the insides a little.

Though they could resist the cold there is nothing wrong with keeping themselves a little warm. Shawn continued watching the replay of the past 200 years in the southern continent.

In one of the Thawn houses, near a torch lies Ulkezi looking on with a glare, "Those Thawns might have never come out of that avalanche but there is a way that we can prevent such from happening to us again" he said before looking up to the sky.

"The weather!!"

The next day, the Thawns gathered beside Ulkezi's home after hunting and gathering.

"As a way to help our tribe concerning matters of the fierce winds bringing massive avalanches. I want to teach you the secrets of studying the weather, "he announced.

Sadly. It turned out that most of the Thawns did not see the act of studying the weather as useful. Only 8 of them wanted to really study how to read the weather. Ulkezi began to teach the 8 Thawns the skills that he learnt and mastered along with the geography of the land.

It wasn't until the day when a snowstorm almost descended towards the tribe that it Thawns the potential of the weather forecasts.

Over the next events in the 200 year time skip the Thawns improved in their use of weather studying and detection. That will be until they started reaching towards new lands that had seasonal snow.

Rather than dumping it they improved on the use of it.

After seeing all the chain of events Shawn smiled before he checked the list of potential higher beings.

He checked and saw the name Ulkezi.

Ulkezi Sampora - A Thawn in the north of the eastern lands of the southern continent. He studied the weather, climate and terrain so as to predict if the environmental conditions were suitable for disasters. An excellent choice for a higher being. Costs 700CP.

"An excellent one indeed" Shawn said "Give me Ulkezi Sampora"

*Deducting 700CP*

A bright light flashed in front of Shawn and revealed a blue figure with frost white hair and blue eyes.

"Welcome Ulkezi," he said with a smile on his face.

"Thank you master Shawn" The Thawn said before giving a bow to Shawn to show his respects.

"It's okay" Shawn said as he touched Ulkezi's army and said.

"You do what you always do. Go and study mother nature and help your people" he said.

A bright light flashed and Ulkezi disappeared from Shawn's view.

"It's time for the next race to produce their own higher being" Shawn said as the screen changed to show him a new view of the hills in the center of the snow lands and the jungles.

"I wonder how this is going to work with them," Shawn said before looking at the central hills in the Southern Continent.

The Dwarven tribes lived within the hills that separated the two largest biomes of the continent.

On one of the hills little short and stout figures with beards walked about a hill. A Dwarven settlement had been made in the region.

The dwarves of the hill built their houses and other buildings with the rocks and stones that they mined from the hills which they made into stone bricks or made from solid stone.

After all, the use of other sorts of bricks except that of stone was seen as unsustainable.

The dwarves of the hill always held an annual contest to see who could craft the best weapon or tools that they had. Even in Ornio, the dwarves still brought their large hammers into the setting of things.

Shawn loved that about them and decided to let them have the knowledge of how their hammers were made. But it did cost him an extra 1,200 CP to keep that quality there.

The dwarven settlement of Durgalir had its annual contest to see who was the greatest crafter among them.

Within a large open hall, Dwarves gathered together to watch contestants with large hammers to begin their crafting.
