Chapter 16

TRANSMIGRATED TO THE WORLD OF CULTIVATION

CHAPTER 16

"Chen Mingxia, right?" Qin Jingguo poked me but I remained mute. "We'll meet very soon. See you later." He grazed my cheeks with his slender cold fingers and fled away.

'Shameless pervert!' I cursed him and moved to the shoreline of the river. 'I really need to learn very offensive techniques.' I thought as I wiped my cheeks with the wet long sleeves of my cloth.

. . .

Later in the afternoon, I was strolling around in the street, familiarizing myself with Yan Village when a group of boys stopped me and tried to bully me. Their leader was Jiang Bigwen, the second son of the patriarch of Jiang Clan. Jiang Bigwen's elder brother, Jiang Zihang who was the first son was cultured and civilized but Jiang Bigwen was brutal and arrogant. He leeches on his clan's powers for help and comfort but he had never achieved anything meaningful to uphold his clan's name.

"Hey! You…you…you're still alive!" He screeched in shock but I gave him the brushoff. I was not in the mood to talk to parasites.

"And you are still the same, no difference, no change…no achievement." I retorted and Jiang Bigwen frowned like he made a loss.

"You ought to be dead?" One of his boys said to me but I just remained mute. "He's talking to you Chen Mingxia! Have you gone deaf and dumb?" Jiang Bigwen barked at me. I felt anger swirl in me.

"What the hell is it?" I asked in a calm tone. On my lips was a bright smile and I could feel hot smoke emanating from Jiang Bigwen. "Why are you barking like a mad dog?"

Oops! I struck a nerve.

"Who did you just call a mad dog?" I heard Jiang Bigwen yell at me with a glare. The smile on my lips widened. "It's you and your entire clan that are mad dogs!" He retorted.

"Including your crushie, Chen Xingxing. As you can see, I'm not fit for that title 'mad dog'. I always remain cool and collected. Do you know that you and Chen Xingxing are fit to be a couple? Mad dogs, you know." I counter-responded and Jiang Bigwen was knocked for six. "Now tell me, why are you barking like a mad dog? What do you want from me?"

His friends laughed at him and he became embarrassed.

"Chen Mingxia…!" He growled as he dangled his fists in a beastlike manner. "You hopeless thing…! Today marks your end! I will wipe you away from the surface of the earth!" He charged towards me. Instinctively, I felt the urge to beat those boys to pulp.

'Jiang Bigwen called me a hopeless thing. I will show him who the real hopeless thing is.' I sneered as I caught his fists in one smooth move. His face was plastered with shock and his friends that were behind him gasped in shock too.

"Now tell me, who is the real hopeless thing?" I asked him with a small smile and I ruthlessly twisted in his arm.

"Ah! I am the hopeless thing! I am hopeless! I am hopeless! I surrender to you!" He cried and winced in pain and surrendered. I basked in the delight of his pain and after he surrendered, I let him go.

'Did Chen Mingxia just twist Jiang Bigwen's arm?'

'Of course she did, are you blind?'

'Jiang Bigwen even surrendered to her. He's a very big disgrace.'

'I agree with you.'

'I'm wasting too much time dwelling on petty issues like Jiang Bigwen.' I turned around to go home when I felt something was amiss.

Jiang Bigwen tried to punch me again but I turned around and I dodged his fist. The blow landed on a tree that was few feet away from me. The tree was smashed to pieces right in front of me. The force and power of Jiang Bigwen's blow was too much. If I didn't dodge his fist, I would have been maimed and my cultivation core would have been destroyed. What if I was still a moribund human, I would have died and be forgotten…again. When I said that Jiang Bigwen and Chen Xingxing were fit to be a couple, I really meant that.

"You…" He gritted his teeth and stared daggers at me. Jiang Bigwen was an unrelenting pest and I need to end his drama once and for all.

"I'm going to tell my grandmother that you bullied me." I dropped the bomb and I felt Jiang Bigwen's breaths hitch. It was as if the whole world stood still for a minute.

"Scared that my grandmother will punish Chen Xingxing because of you?" I teased him and he started to sweat buckets and barrels. "You should know how stern my grandmother is, and how overbearing Chen Xingxing can be?" I asked in a very low yet threatening tone.

He nodded and I smiled.

"Good boy!" I praised him. "What if Chen Xingxing finds out that she was punished by grandmother because of you, she will hate you to the core. You don't need a fortuneteller to tell you what that means…?" Jiang Bigwen heard me explain to him. I brainwashed him into thinking about the possible consequences.

Imagining Chen Xingxing hating him made him very scared and nervous. He really love Chen Xingxing and he would do anything to have her in his arms. I saw myself luxuriating in Jiang Bigwen's fear. Jiang Bigwen became sweaty and pitiful. Wasn't he the one who called me a hopeless thing and even bullied me?

"It's up to you to decide. Bear in mind that time and tide waits for no cultivator so I'm giving you only three seconds to think about. Your time starts now!" I said to him with a glint of revenge swirling in my eyes.

"Three…! Two…!"

"What do you want me to do?" Jiang Bigwen asked me and I felt thrills in my soul.

"Are you sure you are going to do my bidding? Jiang Bigwen, I don't think you are ready for that…?" I taunted him and he knelt down to prove his seriousness.

Few feet away from me was a hooded man with a mask. Beside him was his friend, watching me and Jiang Bigwen.

"That lady is so smart. She just turned the situation to her favor by using mere words." The dazed friend murmured and the hooded man hummed.

"She's terrifically smart to devise such schemes. She's such a sweet wildflower." Said the hooded man with a smile on his lips. "Cute bunny…"

"Don't tell me that you're falling for her?" The hooded man's friend questioned. He just took what the hooded man said to him as a mere joke.

"She's mine. Back off!" Growled the hooded man.

"It's simple. Your friends will slap you hundred times and knock you hundred times and I will shut my mouth." I said to Jiang Bigwen who felt like he was already dead. "I won't report to grandmother and Chen Xingxing will not be punished, do you understand?"

"Chen Mingxia, can you reduce it to seventy? No…fifty!" Pleaded Jiang Bigwen who was already crying his eyes out.

"Nope!" Came the curt reply from me. "It's final, nothing can change my mind!"

"Friends, you can't simply obey her and slap me…" Jiang Bigwen was interrupted by one of his friends who slapped him.

Slap!

"That's for calling me a hopeless thing!" I reminded him. Yeah, I was achieving something so thrilling and that was revenge.

Slap!

"That's for insulting my clan!"

Slap!

"That's for comparing me with Chen Xingxing at the festival!"

Slap!

"That's for bullying me a year ago!"

Slap!

"That's for insulting my father!"

Slap!

'That's for calling me a parasite.'

Slap!

Slap!

After slapping and knocking him, Jiang Bigwen was staggering like a drunkard. I could hear him dissing his friends as they hauled him away. Within me, I was very happy that I was accomplishing one of my goals and that was REVENGE!

Looking around, I caught sight of a figure and that was the hooded man, he was staring at me. His stare gave me chills and I could feel goose bumps raining on me.

I wondered why someone will wear a mask and a hood in daytime. Is he a superhero or a spy? Why does he look like a wanted criminal? Thinking about criminals, the hooded man gave off the same vibe like that stiff man I saw at the mystical rivers.

'What a strange personality!' I mumbled and made away for home. 'Su Qiu hasn't contacted me? I hope all is well.' I mumbled as my mind was preoccupied with the thoughts of my father.

"She saw us." Stated the man that was beside the hooded man.

"Of course she did, I know." The hooded man replied with a chortle. "Wei Xiong, you worry too much."

"Aren't you bothered about your personality being exposed?" Wei Xiong asked and the hooded man snorted.

"I'm not," The hooded man replied with a careworn tone. "She saw us and so what? She doesn't know a thing about us…so we are safe for now."

"Qin Jingguo, we need to be careful. She's very smart and you witnessed it yourself. What makes you think that she will not sniff us out?"

The hooded man who happened to be Qin Jingguo stared at Wei Xiong who was his friend. He took off his hood and mask and inhaled the fresh breeze. His waist-length silky hair that had the color of the clear unclouded sky waltzed gracefully in the air. His electric blue eyes were glazed with coldness and aloofness and so was his aura.
