Danzo's Meddling

Naruto and the rest arrived at the entrance of the sand village. Temari spoke to the guards and an anbu left to inform about their arrival. As they waited at the entrance, the anbu returned and escorted them to the hospital. In the hospital, they were greeted by Baki and he explain the d the situation to them. Naruto gritted his teeth. Sakura and Karin started treating Kankuro. As there were two medical ninjas, Kankuro was treated relatively fast. Then Sakura and Karin left to the herb garden to create an antidote to the poison.

While Kankuro was being treated, Granny Chiyo entered the room and attacked Kakashi thinkong he was his father. After the misunderstanding cleared, Sakura and Karin returned to the room and administered the antidote to Kankuro and he woke up. Kankuro then gave a piece of cloth that he recovered from sasori and gave it to Kakashi. Kakashi was about to summon the tracking hounds, but Naruto interrupted him saying "It will take a lot of time that way Kakashi sensei. Let me do it". And he closed his eyes. Soon his eyes were covered with orange markings and sensing Gaara's chakra, he opened his eyes and said "Kakashi sensei, I've their location. Gaara is in trouble. We have to fo soon".

Kakashi nodded and the four of them started to leave. Granny chiyo also went along with them. As Naruto and team with Granny chiyo were hurrying to the place Gaara was at, They were interrupted by several masked ninjas. They stopped on their tracks and Kakashi asked "Who are you? What do you want?" The leader of the masked ninjas said "Take the ninetails alive and dispose of the others and the ninjas started to attack. The four of them and granny chiyo dodged the attacks of the masked shinobi and started fighting.

The masked ninjas had come prepared for an ambush. So they had set many traps, but Naruto and Kakashi were a lot stronger and they defeated all the ninjas. Suddenly, the Leader of the masked Ninja's sent a signal and more than 100 other masked ninjas came down to attack the group. Naruto shouted "We don't have time for this and took out some kunais and threw them and muttered 'Flying Thunder God - Rasen Flash Super Circle Dance Howl Stage ZERO'. Suddenly, there was an orange flash and all the 100 ninjas fell down then Naruto returned to his previous spot.

Kakashi looked at Naruto's back wide eyed and muttered 'Sensei'. Sakura, Karin and Granny Chiyo were too shocked. Sakura then thought 'So Naruto has become this strong. I wonder how strong would Sasuke be by now? I need to train harder to stand besided them.' Kakashi then removed the mask of some ninjas that were down and checked, then he shook his head and said angrily "DANZO & IWAGAKURE". Naruto was shocked and asked "What do you mean Kakashi sensei?" Kakashi said "Danzo must have worked with Iwagakure to capture you, because IWA hates your father for killing 1000 of their shinobi just the way you did now".

Then Karin asked "What was that just now Naruto? What did you do?" Kakashi answered on behalf of Naruto as he said "It is a spacetime ninjutsu called 'The Flying Thunder God". It was used by the Fourth Hokage, Naruto's Father". Karin nodded and suddenly, the leader of the masked ninjas, with the last of his life did a hand sign, activating a seal on his body and exploded. Naruto suddenly released Kurama's chakra and covered everyone in a bright orange chakra cloak, but the explosion was too strong that it sent them flying back.

Karin was the nearest to the explosion, so she was the most hurt. Sakura, Kakashi & Granny chiyo just had minor injuries. Naruto was ansry as he squeezed his fists hard and shouted "DANZO!!!! YOU ARE SO DEAD". and rushed towards Karin. Sakura also rushed towards her and started treating her. As Karin had not yet perfected the 'Hundred Healings jutsu', she could not heal herself and was unconscious. Sakura performed treatment and they waited for Karin to regain consciousness. They had to find a spot and stay there for the night.

The next morning, Karin regained consciousness and everyone woke up as well. Sakura checked her condition and said she is OK, but Karin couldn't continue with them. So Naruto told Sakura to return with her to the sand village. He also made two clones to guard them in case someone attacked them and he also gave Karin a marked kunai and told her to use it if they were in danger. Sakura contemplated a bit and nodded, then she left with Karin and the shadow clones back to the sand village.

Kakashi, Naruto and Granny chiyo then continued their way towards Gaara's location. While they were going, Kakashi said "We have to be careful from now on. It's not just the Akatsuki, but Danzo and iwa are after us. It would have been helpful if Sasuke was here. Naruto, if you have a way to contact him, can you ask him to come over? We need to do something about the situation and Danzo as well". Naruto thought for a moment and said "Don't worry Kakashi sensei. We can handle it. After rescuing Gaara, I'll take care of Danzo and his Root myself. Sasuke had told granny to wait till he returned after training, but if something happens to Gaara because we were delayed, then I'll personally see to it that Danzo pays."

Kakashi said "Don't be hasty Naruto, he is one of the elders of the village and part of the council". Naruto shook his head and said "No Kakashi sensei, the evidences on all his crimes are with granny Tsunade and Sasuke said that the other two advisors are working with him and we have to take down all those three as well. Since the Third Hokage is already dead, there's no need for his old team members in the alive as well". Kakashi then said "Since they attacked leaf ninjas and tried to kill us, they must be punished. We'll discuss it with the Hokage as soon as we finish the mission". Naruto nodded and they continued.
