Memories forgotten

As Jun galloped off on his horse, he couldn't help but keep looking back as he couldn't take Ya's eyes off his head, he keeps seeing pictures of her face in his memory but soon her image started to fade...

What kind of place did I just go now?Jun thought as he draws back on the reins of the horse to make a stop 'neigh' the horse made "Mu, it's okay, I want to quickly take a break, my head feels muddled "

Getting off the horse he took a water from his backpack and drank out of it, he groans "hmmmm, that was satisfying" not really having the desired outcome he wants, he climbed back on his horse and galloped back to the palace

As he reached the palace gate, he made his way directly to his mansion as the guards bowed at him before opening the gate to allow in . Moving further into the mansion, maids could be seen tending to their various chores, but as soon as they sighted him they all bowed down to acknowledge his presence.

Gang, his personal bodyguard could be seen coming towards him with a worried expression "my prince, where have you been? The crown prince dropped by and has asked of you"

" Really?And what did you tell him?" Jun asked

"I told him, you're on an important mission" replied Gang

"I wonder why he's here though, but anyway, I'll retire for the night now" he said as he proceeded to his room

Reaching his room he requested for a bath to which his maids brought in water to help him bath

"You can go, I'll do it myself" he interjected their effort to help him

Soaking in the bath, he couldn't remember where he had been or what he had done as he couldn't make head of it, it looks like a dream the more he thinks about it or was he sleep walking?

He decided to just forget about it as he's already having a headache by just thinking about it, but he was soon startled by his friend, Chen Haoyu who made a statement out of nowhere

" And where have you been?" Haoyu asked

"For real Haoyu, you are not a child, what are you doing, playing hide and seek? " Jun asked rhetorically

"Are you trying to scare the shit out of me, if so you have failed because I've seen your shadow before you even started your game" Jun said sarcastically

"Bad, not fun at all" Haoyu replied rather disappointed as he couldn't get his revenge back after Jun had scared the shit out of him when he was in his room

"Stop Haoyu, stop being silly, that was a year ago" Jun snorted "and how is it, have you got the things done" he asked

"Yes, I stopped an importation of swords and other war equipment weapons which the general tried bringing into the country, I think the general is planning a rebellion or what do you think?" Haoyu replied

"Hmmm....I know that old man is up to no good, so what did the general say in his defense" Jun asked

"Of course he denied, he said that they are for war and it will be taken to the military ground" Haoyu said

"Guess I'll have to go to the military ground tomorrow, got to check the new weapons brought in" Jun replied sarcastically

" That's not necessary though , where did you go, I've been waiting for you in the room for some time now, and Gang said you went somewhere but didn't tell him the exact place "

" Sight seeing" Jun replied "besides I'm here now, aren't you going back home tonight" he asked

"I plan to sleep here tonight" Haoyu replied

"But not in my room, I don't want Mrs Chen knocking at my door in the middle of the night" Jun said laughing

"Says who? I'll be sleeping in your room tonight" Haoyu said

"Gosh... Haoyu, you are being so annoying, don't start this tonight" Jun ranted

Before Jun could further show his displeasure, they both heard a knock on the door

"Who's that" Jun asked as he moved forward to the door "it's Mrs zhou" Mrs Zhou replied

"Oh nanny, you can come in, have a seat" Jun said as Mrs Zhou entered the room

Mrs zhou has been his nanny and head of maid servants from childhood, as the queen, his mother didn't have time for him since his birth .He has been in the care of Mrs Zhou

"How are you doing and why have you come to see me" Jun asked

"It's nothing, your highness, I only came to check up on you" Mrs Zhou said

" Oh, that, I'm perfectly fine nanny" Jun replied

" The queen wants you to get married to Yang Mei lien, your fiancee, seems she's eager to see her grand children soon" Mrs Zhou said

"Grand children!!"jun exclaimed " I decide who I want to get marry to by myself, mother and father don't have to find me a wife" Jun said to further show his displeasure

"The mother and father of a child have always been the one to pick a wife for their children, and you've been engaged to your fiancee since birth" Mrs Zhou said

"But I don't love her, she's vicious, cunning, and..I don't even know what to say anymore, I just can't marry such woman" Jun said

" I understand you but it's been decided and getting married to one of the minister daughter, the favorite for that matter will be of great benefit to you and the country" said Mrs Zhou confidently

"That's just the reason they want me to marry her, just because of the benefits, they don't care about me at all" said Jun

"They do, but you have to consider the country too, that's your responsibility as a prince" said Mrs Zhou as she stood up bowing down to Jun

"Goodnight my prince" said Mrs Zhou as she made her way out of the prince chamber

"Goodnight nanny" Jun responded

Emerging from the inner room, Haoyu asked "what did you guys talked about"

"You shouldn't have gone inside if you need to know" Jun said

"But, I had to give you privacy .. nevermind that and just tell me " Haoyu said

"Father and mother wants to hurry the wedding preparation to the prime Minister's daughter" Jun said sadly

"The Yang family are powerful, the richest and influential family, second to the royals, it's obvious why the king and queen had to create strong connection for the prosperity of the country" Haoyu said

"I wish you a happy life in your marriage anyway" he added as he laughed uncontrollably

" Can you just stop! it's not funny, anyone but Mei lien would have been better, why does it have to be her?" said Jun

"She's the favorite, the prime minister apple of the eye, she's just the best choice for you believe me" Haoyu Said

"But she's vicious and cunning" Jun replied

"You just have to get used to that and make better use of her" said Haoyu as Jun rolled his eyes at him

"You don't believe me? Anyway let's sleep....." Haoyu said as they both lied down to sleep
