The Sibling Bond

"You trio should keep it low. Unless you are seeking an ear lashing from the parents or punishment from Emperor." Lin Biao came next to them.

Lin Dan: "Aren't we already whispering? How low can we keep it?"

Lin Huiying giggled thinking about a scenario, "Maybe we should go under a tree, form a circle, and whisper so slowly that not even the owl sitting on the tree can hear it."

Lin Jiang joining the fun said: "We need a fire near the circle to keep our secret meeting safe from the insects and animals who might want to join us."

Lin Dan, who already was controlling the spilling laughter, "Would not the fire attract others to join the fun?"

All four couldn't help but laugh with the whole scenario in their mind.

Lin Fengmian who was slowed down his pace and was now next to them joined, "You'll need some food too. After all, you'll be hungry after the secret meeting. Discussing the royals is hard work, isn't it? Ha?"

All five had smiles on their faces and were chatting amongst themselves. The topic was what food to prepare and what clothes would be better – their general attires or black secretive clothes.

The elders walking in front of them and were pleased to look at their children's laughter. They felt content every time their youngsters were together and having fun amongst themselves.

Compared to the group of Lin family, the other three families looked dull. They were all walking while looking at these five people enjoying themselves.

Some were envious of their bond and their happiness, some wanted to join them, and some condemned them for such behavior.

But the Lin Family couldn't be bothered with the haters.

The Royal children were walking behind them, returning to their courtyards. Some lived in the palace, and some lived outside – Fourth and fifth princes. The princess would often just crash at their houses rather than living in the palace. Since she was not allowed to have her place outside the palace.

They observed the whole interaction between the children of the Lin family.

"They have such a harmonious relationship. They don't even share the same fathers, but look at them." Zhou Dongyu commented with some sadness.

Zhou Meng sighed loudly thinking the same. Zhou Sheng didn't comment on anything and kept walking.

Everyone returned to their courtyard after reaching the Lin Mansion.

Lin Huiying removed her makeup and undo her hair bun, removed the accessories and heavy robes.

She was quite satisfied with herself. For a while she kept looking at herself, then she frowned on seeing her image in the yellow mirror of this world.

She immediately went to her mental space, since no one was present in her room, and looked in her bedroom's ceiling-to-floor mirror, which was so clear then she couldn't help but smile.

"Ah!!!!!! Don't I look too beautiful now. Man, I want to eat myself . Look at this subtle red glow on the cheeks and such a clear skin!!!!!!" Lin Huiying exclaimed looking at herself in the mirror. She started to pose and admire her face to her figure.

In her past life, she was still the same. The face was the same. And she loved her face because indeed she was quite pretty. No man would disagree with it.

She was not on the level of the narcissist but loved herself. Because she had learned a hard way to do that. It took her many years to do that. Her life had been no sunshine and rainbows. It was simply life.

She wore her modern silk pajamas and climbed her bed.

Today she was very happy about one thing and that was the bond between her new siblings. She kept going back to the memory of them laughing and cracking jokes.

She turned and lied on her stomach while laying her head on her hands. Suddenly a tear fell on those hands.

'Is this your compensation, God?' She thought.

She had eight to nine first cousins from both maternal and paternal families. But there was not a single one with whom she was this close. Where she could feel so light.

The cousins from her father's side were just for show. They meet when the whole family gets together on some special occasions even though everyone lived in the same city till she went abroad. Her three cousins lived next door, but she hated them the most. They were all for names.

Her cousins from the maternal side were decent enough. They all liked each other and had fun but were not close enough to share tiny-tiny things of their life or any major secrets.

She had always longed for a loving family. A whole family. She had the best parents. But what about other members of the family? So, she always wished for it.
