Mother's Blessing

Freyja was mother's favourite and if considered she could the second mother of planet Tarreena, upon her decent from the sky to meet with mother brought the news that mother was dying at a rapid pace, hence the reason why we haven't seen her in a while and why the delay of a new cynara growing which means we are not getting a bhaijamae this time. That was not all, apparently mother said her brother was the cause to all this, Anpu (the darkness of death) ever since their birth he has always wanted to consume mother, for eating her his direct opposite would give him the power to face of their older siblings.

Although we didn't notice his presence but he had arrived about the time Telos became a teenager, at the door of mother's dimensions which she has hidden herself all this while and was trying to keep him out all by herself, but she is losing because half of her powers is being used to preserve us from his contagious presence.

"No…not like this" "mother, we have to help her" I couldn't control myself cause of this new feeling I couldn't understand, the feeling of fear

"We can't Drane, mother said we mustn't intervene" Freyja my sister who understands me more than anyone said to me while embracing Telos in her arms "mother said we are not strong enough to fight him yet"

"Bu....But I'm supposed to be the protector of this family, she told me that"

I still remembered the day when we were still young before the birth of Telos, when mother was putting us to bed, Freyja was first to fall asleep, without even looking at me while caressing Freyja to sleep she spoke in her cool and soothing voice to me

"There would come a time were you would be the one to protect her, and your siblings to come, when you have to lead everyone"

"But what about you mother, won't mother be there to always protect us" 

"That's right, mother will always protect you and your siblings no matter what and where you are" she said to me with a smile on her beautiful face

"She said I was going to lead and protect everyone, so I alone will help mother"

"Stop being foolish and stubborn Drane, mother knew you'd say that and she told me to tell you that now is not the time" "I need you, Telos needs you, Don't act rash and listen, cuz this is what mother wants from you and the rest of us"

The pain of feeling helpless grew in my chest as I bit my lips in both regret and anger

"Wh…what are mother's order"

"Mother said we need to gather and bring everyone here under her roots, and no one should be absent not even you, after that then she will decide on who will help her and what st to do "

"But I'm the strongest, she will need my help more than anyone" I said with confidence 

"Yes, but for now mother wants to see everyone, so can you stop acting like a big baby and do this for her..hmm" Freyja said sounding a bit disappointed 

"O..ok, what am I supposed to do"

Telos who has being quiet this whole time finally spoke

"I wanna help too"

Freyja looked at Telos with a wide smile on her face

"OK Good, Drane you take Telos with you and bring the Frawniis tribe since they favour you and Telos more and their numbers is more than that of the Genkiis, you two would cover more ground fast while I would go to the Genkiis tribe and we shall all meet back here"

Without wasting much time we got ready and set out on our destination, I and Telos headed towards the direction of the green tribe the Frawniis while Freyja took the purple side the Genkiis. Due to the population of this side being more than that of the Genkiis it took a while for the message to go through when we arrived at Frawniis tribe location but in about earth's two weeks everyone was informed and ready with even some who already departed when they got the message, when we arrived back to the spot mother was Freyja has already arrived two days ahead of us us.

Gathered at the root of mother's in a number of thousands we waited for about week more,after which mother finally appeared with her great presence and for the first time not only us but everyone was able to grace the glory of mother's light, stunning everyone non having the slight will to move, cause everyone was venerating at mother a glorious being.

And in all awe mother spoke out "My Children, I am happy and sad to see you all one final time

"What…. Final time?" 

"I think I heard the same" 

"What does that mean"

"How the fuck should I know"

"what's happening, why is everyone murmuring" 

"ugh..... You're so dumb" 

"For the first time we just get to see her and now it'll be the last time?" 

"That's not fair". Everyone was murmuring

"My beloved children, I have and will always cherish the moment we had here but as all good things have an end it's time to leave"

"As the danger that has befall us is to great for us to handle"

"Leave?"

"Where are we supposed to go to?"

"I knew today was bad day" 

"yes finally an adventure"

"y'all should stop talking, dipshits" 

"How can we survive out of our home?"

"Nooooo..... I've not eaten yet" 

"The reason I've called for everyone here today was so that I would blessed a few who shall continue to live"

Everywhere was silent this time, everyone looking up at mother a beautiful glowing colourful light as she stare down to everyone 

"For I cannot bless everyone here, I am sorry but I'll let you to decide on those who are going to be blessed"

"What is the blessing that mother talks of?, so that we can decide who will be chosen" an elder from the Genkiis asked

"I mother will bestowed onto the chosen ones my divine power, so that they shall evolved beyond their normal selves and ascend into super beings who can live, bear their own and have the power to protect themselves in anyplace they end up"

With that confirmation from mother the elders from the two tribes started to decide on who shall be chosen. It took a while but they finally decided to choose the youngest of every centre family from the tribe respectively

The Frawniis choose the total of 22 and while the Genkiis brought out 17 of their own

I couldn't hold myself anymore and I approached mother and knelt down 

"Mother let me fight and protect our home, this is what you have trained me for" but mother did not say a word she only kept looking at me in silence

"Remember, you said a time would come when I would need to protect everyone, please let me fight"

Mother in her great elegance floating in sky, moved gentle to my position and lay her soft glowin palm on both my cheeks and said

"You are not ready yet, you job right now is to protect them" as mother looked in the direction where Freyja, Telos and the chosen members of both tribe stood

The pain on my chest grew stronger, knowing that I will not like the answer to the question I was about to ask

"What about you a..and the others who aren't chosen to obtain your blessing?"

"What's going to happen to all of you, who would protect you?"

Mother leaned forward and then kissed my forehead and then said "I'll keep everyone safe and we will follow you all behind, I promise"

I knew it was a lie, but for the sake of my brother and sister and the others, I had to be strong for them cause now I must protect them "ok mother, I'll follow your orders"

"Good my son, now there's no much time left. It's time you be on your way" as she looked at me and said "I'm proud of you Drane my son" 

After her words, I saw Freyja, Telos with the others turning into orbs of golden light and in an instant, they shoot towards the sky at incredible speed that my eyes couldn't keep up to, and just then I felt myself getting lighter while my vision started getting blurry and then everything turned dark.

Meanwhile

Just as the last orb of light shot up towards the sky, the celestial glowing being in sky turned to the remaining beings left

"what I'm about to do is dangerous, and I will definitely fail but I can keep the danger from following the children, but I can't do it all by myself, to buy them enough time I'll need your life forces to hold on that long" without hesitation they all shouted

"if we can help in anyway possible, please mother do not hesitate because we trust you"

"Thank you my children, I'm proud to be you mother" in a blink of an eye all the other beings became lifeless as a stream of lightdust could be seen heading towards this celestial being that stood above them as it absorbs the light.
