Justin's P.O.V

Lisa and I didn't go to that karate school for almost a week. After that incident when we destroyed the most important room... I just didn't feel the vibe to go there any longer. Besides, they were probably going to be ready for us if we ever showed up there again. Sadly, I still felt that urge to fight. It was as if the more you satisfy the urge; the more you crave for violence. Maybe I could with those Viper assholes.

Talking about the Vipers... those guys didn't appear at school for a whole goddamn week! But they did today. They all shot us icy glares but I waved at them, smiling while Alan laughed at them. They were so pained! So sad there's nothing they could do to us.

"Cindy is having her birthday party on Saturday night and it's a 'girls come with your dates' party. Will you come with me?" Oh My God! She just asked me out! Her eyes glimmered.

"Sure. I'll be glad to." I said and she smiled. "But what about Lisa?"

"She said she's not coming. That she'll rather stay at home and watch TV all night. She's not so much of a party person."

"Okay... that's cool I guess." I said with a dissatisfied voice. I wished she could be with Alan. They would've been really great together. But the dumb ass was already the date of the host.

"Yeah. I know. The party's going to be at Sanchez hotel by seven. Don't be late." Sanchez hotel? That's like the most expensive hotel in town and Cindy is hosting her birthday there? Unbelievable!

"I won't." I promised, masking my surprise.

"And... don't bother to pick me up... I'll pick you up." Was she for real?

"Nah... Let me."

"I want to. Come on." She pleaded.

I agreed and then she placed a peck on my left cheek and walked away. I just couldn't wait for that Saturday to come: maybe then I'll have enough courage to ask her to date me. But I kinda felt bad for Lisa cos she's going to be home alone. That sucks! Maybe she should go get a boyfriend. Just saying.

Anastasia's P.O.V

The handsomeness of the boy that stood in front of me was tremendous! It's a pity that he was going to die. Just like that.

I spoke to him normally; the way I would speak to him on a typical school day. And to me, I did well.

Looking at his innocent and smiling face again, my mind tried to fight with those unhealthy impressions dad injected into me, about Justin but again, I lost. I was too far into the whole thing to just back out now.

I just hoped he didn't have the slightest clue about the plan dad and I made cos by the way he's been playing, I can conclude he's pretty skilled. And I freaking hoped that I won't feel guilty about killing him. Damn, I know I would even though he turned out to be a jackass. Why did dad have to make me do this?

I pecked him on his cheek and walked away.

Justin's P.O.V

I opened the curtains in the night for fresh air when I saw Lisa at our spot. She was wearing a black hoodie and was sitting all alone and staring intently into the sky. She appeared to be deep in thought.

I also wore a hoodie though I have no idea why; my mind just told me to.

I left the room and flew there I snuck up on her and yelled "Boo!" She got startled and fell off the roof. Before I could think of saving her, she flew back up on her ice hover board.

"Sorry for startling you. I didn't know you were that deep in thought." I apologized. I was so scared she'll yell at me like she did that day. It was so unexpected. Anyway, I was in a perfectly perfect mood this night and I didn't want it to be spoilt. Maybe its cos I spent most of my day planning for that party at Sanchez and how I was going to pop the question.

"No problem. I figured that I actually took those pranks too seriously so I am sorry."

"Thanks. So... what were you thinking about?"

"Nothing. I just adore the midnight sky, I guess." She voiced.

"If that's what you say... okay!" I agreed. "Let's fly around the city, what do you say?" I asked her, stretching my hand. She held my hand.

"Alright man!" She said and chuckled. It sounded so weird.

"Let's fly in 3. 3... 2... 1" Before she could say 'zero,' we took off with great speed. The air embraced me and I felt so free like a bird. I never felt freer before. She was on her hover board, speeding in front of me but when I channeled all my energy into flying, I flew past her.

We kept passing each other continuously. The birds in the sky flew past me so swiftly... I mean I flew past them so speedily; I could only see a blur.

I was finally giving Lisa a large gap when I saw some kind of vision. I saw a scene where there was a woman being kidnapped outside a club. Then the next scene I saw was just a grey car parked in front of a bar; 'Southside Corner.'

When it was finally over, Lisa was floating beside me, in the air. We had stopped racing. The vision was pretty blurry but it passed a message. All I didn't know was why the hell I was seeing them. Is it too much to ask for a peaceful night?

"I just saw some kind of vision. Someone's in danger." I said with a voice of urgency and she whooped. I didn't know whether to be excited too or pissed off. I was actually the one that asked for it. Why the hell did I ask for it?

Well, this staying up late, flying around the city has got to stop cos we'll be having our exams in two weeks. To be honest, I haven't been reading much and if I really want to do well, I gotta buckle up.

"Let's race down." She suggested.

"Okay." I answered dryly and we flew down.

We landed at almost the same time. Though I landed some microseconds before her, it didn't really matter. She made her hover board melt into water which poured onto the ground with a splash.

"We're here." I declared, staring at the white signboard which read 'Southside Corner.' We were in the right place.

We saw a grey car- the same grey car I saw in my vision, in front of the bar. I was certain that we weren't misdirected.

We walked into the bar with our hoods on and went to the counter. We ordered two bottles of Coke and went to sit on a table beside them

********************

I heard them talking in hushed tones about some contract and how they were going to share the gains. They argued a lot about the ratio which they were going to use in sharing the money but somehow came to an agreement. The way they spoke sounded so very suspicious and I wondered why they were in this bar at this time of the night.

They were on the table beside us but they never noticed us. I guess we camouflaged with the darkness or they were too busy making plans which I couldn't make anything out of.

There were three of them, all wearing black and I could tell they were up to no good!

Lisa and I just sat and drank our Cokes, waiting for them to go out or something. A while later, they left the bar. We followed them but they didn't see us. They opened their trunk as if to check if something they had kept there earlier on was still intact. And that was when I figured out that their 'contract' was actually a person. I had a strong feeling that it was the woman I saw in my vision that was in the trunk.

They closed it, hopped into the car and then drove away. We still followed them... but in the air.

After about ten minutes of trailing their car and also thinking of what to do, I finally got pissed off and suggested that Lisa should shoot some icicles at their wheels.

"Are you sure?"

I confirmed and then she made them and shot them into one of the front tires accurately. They punctured the tires and soon, the car went out of control. The car went haphazardly into the forest and got its head colliding with a tree. We flew into the forest and stayed on one of the trees which was close to their car, observing.

The spikes turned into water and trickled down the tire.

One of them; the one that was driving, jumped angrily out of the car and threw a tantrum. The car began emitting smoke. Then he examined the tire and probably saw the holes but not what made them. He figured that someone or something had been trailing them.

He urgently went to the car and spoke to them. They in turn, came out, carried the kidnapped person out of the trunk and they went deeper into the darker part of the forest.

"Lisa, please wait here for me. I'll be back soon." I told Lisa who was on a branch beside me. When I saw that they were getting outta sight and earshot.

"Where to?"

"Just want to check what they're going to do."

I flew away before I could even hear what else she had to say.

*********************

They laid her on the ground which was bare except for the leaves that enveloped it. And then the three of them surrounded her. Her eyes were tied with a blindfold and her mouth, tied with the same ropes that tied her hands at her back. She made muffled sounds, probably pleading for mercy but they didn't give a damn.

"Let's just waste her. There's nothing else we can do." One of the men said, pointing a hand-gun at him. She made louder sounds at the realization of his terrible suggestion.

"No, don't. That's not what we were sent to do. Have you forgotten out code, Hank?"

"No, sorry. I slipped." Hank apologized with a voice filled with remorse.

"Good! So we're just going to drug her and render her unconscious. Then we'll find our way outta here. Got it?" He declared authoritatively.

"Yes boss!" Hank and the third man said in unison. Though she was blindfolded, I still felt the despair in her eyes. Hank dropped his arm and they injected her with some drug. She winced before she finally went unconscious.

"So now what?" Hank asked.

"Let's f--" Before he could reply, I jumped down from the tree and landed right beside the unconscious woman. They looked at me in utter astonishment.

"Who the fuck are you, kid?" The man who I perceived was the boss, asked me.

"Me? I guess I'm the guy that's going to kick all your asses!" I challenged.

"Cool..." He said dryly. "Take care of him." He instructed the other two guys and they came towards me.

I took on Hank first cos... he's the wicked one. I tried punching the first time but he dodged it. Then I kicked him and my vision turned red. Great! His friend was shooting at me continuously but as usual; the bullets fell to the ground and hid in the leaves.

I hit him many times but he was able to endure them. He also started throwing punches at me and I also dodged. We were really not going anywhere with this.

I luckily spotted some rusted, metal rod stuck in one of the trees some just beside me. I swiftly pulled it out and used it to slash his face and he started bleeding. Thanks a lot to the person who stabbed that tree with that sharp rod. I thrust it into his left chest. For the first time, it actually looked like my move hurt him. He groaned and fell into the leaves.

I squatted and began punching him in his face continuously. He even started bleeding. I wanted to stop but something made me keep punching him until he went unconscious.

I was about to get up when I heard a feminine shriek. I turned my head back and I saw one of the kidnappers who had a syringe in his hand, falling slowly. I spotted an icicle stuck in his forehead. He fell with so much force, the leaves on the ground made way for him.

"Did you really think you could do this all alone??"
