Chapter 31 : Ready Up

Kaiju raised his glowing yellow battle axe up, and super giant yellow chains began to break from underground, flinging all over the place at Rukong.

Rukong flipped upwards and landed on one of the chains.

Rukong was riding on the chains as they went upward, and Kaiju and Kell were running up the chains as well.

Kell asked Kaiju, "What the hell are these chains?!"

"It's a skill called Battle Link! The chains are almost as destructive as my ax!"

Rukong, Kell, and Kaiju were riding on the large glowing yellow chains, spiraling throughout the sky.

Rukong slid down on one of them, and flipped over it, landing on another chain, spinning his staff behind his back.

'These two foolish humans..they're serious.'

Rukong gasped as Kell dashed up behind him, and Rukong turned around and swung his staff at him.

Kell raised his katana and blocked it, but Rukong'a staff cracked Kell's staff a little.

Kell thinks, 'Not good!'

"Oi…you really..really fucked up when you stole May from me."

Rukong replied, "I needed her to power my familiar. You understand she was a vessel for a greater cause! The human race is lost without me as their king! That's why..I'll bring my kingdom here! Sho Takahashi will witness a new order, something his ancestors destroyed years ago!"

"Fool. As long as that nerd Sho is around, you're not getting away with shit. He may be a low class, but he's scary sometimes."

Rukong jumped and kicked Kell in the chest, and Kell fell backwards, sliding on the chains.

Kell looked up, and Rukong teleported in front of him, and tried to stab him through the stomach with his staff.

Kell stopped it by using the middle of his katana, he twisted to the left, and cut Rukong across the back.

Rukong felt it, and he grabbed Kell by the neck with his tail.

Rukong began to jump and flip to all the giant chains that were coming at him, and he smashed Kell's face into each chain, blood spurting all over the place.

Kell exclaimed, "Get offa me nerd! Fool!l

Rukong looked up, and saw Kaiju landing down near him.

Kaiju was holding his battle ax in the air, with yellow electricity being static around the blade.

Kaiju slammed his ax down on Rukong, but Rukong blocked it with his hand, but his hand was bleeding.

Rukong tilted his head, saying, "Oh? You're that elf boy."

Kaiju smirked, "O-Of course one would remember a mighty warrior such as me! I remember you!"

"Your father was a strong man, you resemble him. But since you revolt against your king, your fate will resemble his."

"Tch! Entertain me!"

"I'm the king, not the jester."

Rukong pushed Kaiju back, and Kaiju fell back, but Kaiju darted forward with his ax, ready to attack.

Rukong used his tail to throw Kell at Kaiju, and Kell caught Kell by the leg and threw Kell at Rukong.

Kell spun on the air towards Rukong, saying, "Sword Veil."

Kell started performing a numerous amount of consecutive slashes with his sword, dashing from all areas around Rukong, leaving a trail of black smoke behind him.

Rukong was jumping all over from each large chain that came at him, but Kell was still dashing all around him with his sword.

Rukong was blocking all the attacks, flipping through the air spinning his staff above his head.

"Annoying pest."

Rukong grabbed Kell by the face, making Kell think, 'He was fast enough to catch me during my Sword Veil skill?'

Rukong turned around and threw a Kell through a building, but Kaiju dashed in, saying, "Thunder Ax.."

Lingering energy from Rukong's staff was drawn to Kaiju's ax, and Kaiju swung at Rukong over and over.

Rukong would lean back over and over, rolling backwards to avoid getting hit.

But when Rukong raised his staff to block it, Kaiju's swinging axe made contact with it, and sent Rukong through a building.

Rukong thought, 'What?!'

Rukong fell out the other side of the building, and landed feet first on the road.

The building in front of Rukong exploded, but coming through the explosion were the large yellow chains, Kaiju and Kell.

Kell was riding on one of the chains holding his sword, and blood dripping from his head.

Kaiju was holding his ax in one hand, but in his other hand, he was holding four of the large chains with a grin.

Kaiju exclaimed, "Entertain me more, Sun Rukong!"

Rukong replied, "Tch!"

Behind Rukong, arrived Rudy and Darthen.

Rudy yelled, "We late to the party?!"

Kell answered Rudy, "Very fuckin late! Let's kill this bastard! I need to attend to my precious sister May as soon as possible!"

"Okay, okay I hear ya!"

Rukong saw everyone, thinking, 'At first glance, it would seem doable. But..with multiple class A Fighters and two class S Fighters around me, it won't be as easy.'

Rudy created large vibrating blue rings, and let them roll on the ground to hit RuKong.

Rukong leaped high in the air, but the rings followed him.

Rukong soared higher into the air, turned his staff downwards, pointing it at the rings, and his staff expanded 50 feet long.

The staff pierced straight through the rings, destroying them, shocking everyone.

Rukong then made his staff stretch out further, and he started to spin in the air really fast with his staff sticking out, making large winds fly around, and making buildings and rubble race around the area.

Kaiju yelled, "We need to reach him!"

Kell answered, "Obviously, foolish elf! Let's move!"

Rudy said, "You two kids go left, me and my best friend Darthen will go right."

Kell and Kaiju nodded at them, and began to move.

All of them were avoiding the spinning rubble, jumping on each flying piece of rubble to ascend upwards.

Coming from Rukong, we're clouds of monkeys in armor, holding staffs.

Kaiju yelled, "Those damn things!"

Kell responded, "Yeah THOSE things. We have no other choice but to get past them."

Kaiju and Kell jumped together, using their flashy weapons to spiral through all of the cloud monkeys.

Rudy was jumping on the pieces of rubble throwing his glowing blue rings around, slicing the cloud monkeys apart.

Darthen used his mist to float past them all.

All four of them reached where Rukong was, and Rukong stopped spinning and his eyes turned red.

Miles away in the other city, thousands of Fighters were still battling with the thousands of cloud monkeys that were arriving endlessly.

The Fighters yelled:

"They just keep coming!"

"Behind you!"

"Air Assault!"

"Red Cut!"

"Hollow Guild, follow me!"

"Keep fighting!"

"This is definitely the work of a class S Fighter!"

In the midst of the battle, was Carter and Macch.

Carter said to Macch, "You nervous?"

Macch replied, "Do I look nervous?"

"You do."

"You do too."

"I've never been in a large-scale fight like this."

"But you were in the CIA."

"Small shootouts here and there, but nothing compared to this fantasy stuff. Now then..Ultra Color," Carter stuck his hands out, and glowing purple window squares surrounding the area, and coming from those squares, were large purple diamonds with purple smoke around them.

The diamonds were smashing the cloud monkeys one by one.

Carter then got down and put his hands on the ground, and a large purple square appeared on the ground, and a barrage of large smoking purple diamonds blasted upwards, slaughtering the cloud monkeys.

Maach grinned, "Heh. If this is how we're doing it, I guess I should go all out as well!"

"About time."

Macch had a karambit blade in his hand, and it was on fire in orange flames.

Macch's eyes had flames coming out of them as well.

Macch ran forward towards some cloud monkeys, and he turned into a literal fire hurricane.

The fire hurricane was devouring all of the cloud monkeys, destroying them quickly.

Macch in his fire tornado form still, and he was moving along the paths to where he saw the most cloud monkeys, destroying them.

Fighters around him saw, saying:

"Isn't that Macch's move?"

"That is Macch!"

"Move before he hits you!"

Carter then thought, 'I have magic rubies in my inventory. I can pass a few of them out to some fighters to give them some temporary buffs.'

Someone tapped Carter in the shoulder, and Carter turned around fast.

It was Stacen, and she was drenched in blood.

Carter asked, "How did you…?"

"I heard thou Sun Rukong is in this land, yes?"

"You know of Rukong?"

"Thy Sun Rukong was a fierce warrior, defeating many men from my world in cross world tournaments, he is considered a worthy opponent and ally, and his fame is well on par with doth Takahashi's."

"Oh.."

"I hear thou Division guild gives out magic rubies, I have arrived to collect such a treasure."

"Uh..did you look for me just to ask that?"

"Is there a problem, Carter of the Division guild?"

"No. Here you go."

"I must look for Sun Rukong, and challenge thy warrior for stealing Raiden. I cannot locate Raiden anywhere."

"Don't worry, she'll show up."

Some cloud monkeys were trampling over each other to get to Stacen, and Stacen had her stone hammer in her grasp.

Stacen did a 360 flip over the cloud monkeys, and slammed her stone hammer on them, cracking the ground as the force from her strike caused minor destruction.

…

In a nearby building on the fifth floor, there were over a dozen Fighters who were unconscious, those Fighters were the ones who were trapped in Rukong's statues.

Those Fighters had their friends or family beside them, waiting for them to wake up.

May was laying down on the floor, and Telli was with her.

Telli thought, 'Seeing her like this..reminds me of how I was with my sister years ago. It's like I took the role of my sister in a part of a movie..'

May slowly opened her eyes, and when she did, she sat up fast, looking at Telli.

May asked, "Who the hell are you? You a creep or something, dude?"

Telli responded, "Uh, no?"

"Where am I?"

"You don't remember anything?"

"I remember some giant ape kidnapping me and stuffing me in a statue. And why the hell do I hear fighting and yelling outside?"

"About that.."

Telli told May everything that was going on.

May replied, "Oh..where am I though?"

"ARE YOU SERIOUS?!"

"What, dude?"

"Nothing. But you're in a random building. That's it."

May stood up all the way, and said, "I'm in fighting condition, I'll be fighting along with my idiot brother Kell. Please don't try and stop me, random ass girl."

"I won't. I'm thinking of taking Rukong down myself."

"It won't be easy since he's a class S Fighter. What about Sho?"

"You worried about Sho?"

"I actually…am. You told me he fought Rukong alone. He might be dead."

"..Hm?"

"If Sho is dead, Kell wouldn't be happy, since Sho is Kell's only form of excitement, those two are like nagging brothers. And to me…Sho is..Sho. I don't know how I feel about him exactly, but he's pretty good looking and an asshole at times, but he's hard working, which is something that makes me feel some type of way, you feel me?.."

"Yeah.."

"And if Kell is fighting Rukong right now…I'd really better hurry. I can't lose Kell again. Kell may be an idiot at times, but he's a part of me. The only one who stuck by me since I was a child."

Telli stood up, grinning, "Well then, let's go kill Rukong's ass."

Telli tried to shake May's hand, but May said, "I don't know where your hands have been, ma'am."

"Tch. Millennials."

Sho was leaning against some rubble, and he had taken some of his herbal pills. Even though he was healed, he felt soreness.

Sho sat in regret, feeling embarrassed because he had to be saved from certain death again.

'Just like I feared..I didn't want this to happen. But..I'm glad they came. A class C Fighter doesn't stand a chance against a class S Fighter. But I wouldn't be feeling so fucking embarrassed if I was stronger. I need to be stronger. This is what it feels like..to be truly inferior to those around you. Damn this feeling, I'm not gonna fucking sit here and pout, I'm going..to do something. And where the hell is Red?'

Sho grabbed onto the piece of rubble behind him to pull himself up, and when he looked forward, he saw three figures coming his way.

It was Bebop, Gideon, and Red.

Bebop, Gideon, and Red exclaimed in a worried tone, "Sho!!"

"Guys.."

When Red saw Sho, he thought, 'Sho looks just like HIM. Once weak, but then rose up and became the strongest. I can sense Sho's self doubt..but I know that Sho..will be the strongest Takahashi..'
