Golem! (2)

"…" He had nothing to say, the golem had nothing where the face should be other than a big creepy eye. 

The eye moved with every move of William's and seemed to stick with him. 

'Is it intelligent?' A thought came yet William shook his head in denial. Its eye might have been there following every bit of his movement yet they were lifeless just like the librarian.

"Golem," William said out aloud, the golem's eyes were already on him and there seemed to be no response.

"Jump" 

At first, the golem kept looking at William and only after a few seconds did it show some movement for the first time.

At first, William saw it move its arms by a few inches and then, it suddenly jumped.

RUMBLE! 

William had to firm his legs when the golem jumped, right after it jumped, the ground quaked.

'Wait, was it even a jump?' 

The golem had only gone a few inches above the ground, it was only the aftershock of its action that was dramatic.
