Total War System: Stuck between DC and Marvel

How would a third generation rich kid which was the black sheep of his family react when he discovers that he has been chosen as host of a system but the price is that he is bound to a place where he has limited freedom and could only leave on certain conditions? Freak out of course!!!! “Why!? I was comfortable in my house leeching of my family! Why must I be subjected to this confinement!!” [Host was chosen randomly out of trillions of many possible candidates, so in the words of your fellow humans it is better for you to ‘enjoy’ it if you can’t fight it.] So Mark Johnson was stuck within a weird three story building with a late Victorian design. [Host has discovered ‘The Shop’] [Mission Issued: Where are you?] [-Host must discover where you are and what or which worlds you can access.] Mark then fumbled around and realized that there are two doors that led to two different worlds. Namely DC and Marvel Universes. [Mission completed!] Mark could only say two words when realization dawned upon him. “I’m Fucked!” [Note: Any character in this novel is not mine except for the main protagonist. Also I would change some things about some characters as I am not quite knowledgeable in every canon facts about many of them Also I only write in my free time to release some stress so don't expect consistent uploads of chapters.]

Mark looked at this screen as he rested and contemplated, thinking of how he should go about this situation of this. He looked at the General Shop and realized to late that since he can buy almost anything money could buy, means he could buy tools to be able to use the lands here as farm lands.

But with only a 150 golf left he wasn't sure how to get there, as he was sure that it would only last them a week if this goes on. Mark sighed as he felt it was time to open the Silver Chest, he felt it was better to save it for a special occasion but the situation won't allow it. Mark thought of his inventory and mentally opened the silver chest.

[Ding!]

[Host has opened Silver Chest]

[Host received: (Ancient Spirit Contract x1) ]

(Random Minion Roll 10x)

(Anywhere Doors 6x)

(Skill Book: Basic Swordsmanship)

(Skill Book: Basic Forging)

[ (Gold Coins-1000) ]

"Neat, more random minions for me. What's the other things in here system? I can understand skill books but what are these other things?" Mark felt the doors were kind of familiar to him.

[Anywhere Doors are concepts the system has copied in another world from a talking cat named Doraemon. Meanwhile an Ancient Spirit Contract is to summon an Ancient Spirit to form a bond where you can borrow and use the said spirit's powers or the powers the spirit grants upon you.]

"Holy Shit!! So does that mean that I can go anywhere I want in this then?" Mark was excited as he thought of the ways the Anywhere doors could be used.

[Negative, due to various complications of the mission world having massive amounts of magical energy and also chaotic space-time anomalies, the Anywhere doors aren't able to function similarly to its counterparts here. Host can only use Anywhere Doors as long as its main body is anchored by the host and the other side could only be accessed by using another Anywhere door for stability. And said passage would be permanent thus the host must choose where to install the Anywhere doors.]

"What? So does that mean I only have three permanent portals? Still useful but quite a pity, I thought I could go anywhere and get more money through trade." Mark was still happy about the anywhere doors as he sat there in the Shop resting his sore body. He thought of many possible ways to use the portals, Mark called them that because it was a hassle to say 'Anywhere doors'.

"Wait a minute! Are these doors pink too?" Mark asked as he remembered this small detail.

[Host need not worry, these doors are similar to its prototype made by Dr. Hartman, the inventor of these doors. System has taken the liberty to redesign the doors similar to a large gate of castles to fit the theme of this world. Host only needs to find places to anchor the Doors.]

"Huh, that's a relief. It the place I anchored the Door is moving would it still work?" Mark asked as an idea formed in his head.

[It would still work, as the doors work through making an straight path towards the other end by re-writing the theory of Displacement. But need I remind host that the Doors are as tall as three story houses.]

"Well shit, how should I install them without anyone noticing then?" Mark slumped when he thought of how to discreetly put a three story gate like door somewhere. Then it dawned to him, "That's it!! I can put the other three in the Back Yard!!!" Mark was relieved as he thought of more possibilities but a sound caught his attention.

*Ring*

Mark's head swiveled to the door as he saw a gorgeous woman going inside his shop, but seeing the face of the woman made him freeze as many hamsters now run in his mind to power the thought running on how to deal with the situation. The woman was just looking curiously around this small strange shop that she was weirdly attracted to.

Her curiosity was stoked as she was sure this building was not here before last time she remembered it. It was years since she wandered around Washington but this is the first time she ever seen this place. Sure she might not know everything but the design of this place seems like it was decades old already.

It seems the one that built this place is very great at making this building look very old. She saw some weird things that made her raise her eyebrows, there was a quiver that was displayed that emitted small traces of magic. She went closer to inspect the quiver feeling curious about it, she worked as a curator for the Smithsonian so she felt this thing looked like it was an antique.

Meanwhile Mark was standing there frozen as his couple of brain cells work in hyper drive trying to think clearly. He felt this was an opportunity to gain a great customer, if he could get her to frequent the shop then there would be a steady supply of funds which he can use.

Mark looked at the woman look curiously at the items he had displayed, as she currently was holding the Short sword that he had displayed. He thought that maybe if he played things mysteriously then it would gain the mysticism that would match this shop. Thankfully he had taken a bath earlier before taking a rest in the shop, at least he wore knee breeches, leather shoes and a linen shirt.

He looked at the potential customer and thought of how to make the Amazonian princess become a frequent customer. That's right, the woman in front of him is the one and only Diana of Themyscira or Diana Prince AKA Wonder Woman. How would he know? Well if your face is as beautiful and similar to Gal Gadot then it would only be logical to think so and she came through the DC universe Entrance.

He reviewed the things the System told him on how to handle and processes items that would be sold. He calmed himself down and walked towards Wonder Woman, as he faked a cough to get the attention of the lady.

"Anything that you fancy here miss?" Mark smiled as Diana Prince looked at him.

"You are the owner? Are the items here for sale?" Diana looked at the weirdly dressed man in front of her. He somehow dressed like it was in the 18th century but it seemed to look like a casual attire for him. A tall man with a long hair reaching down to his cheeks, a short beard, a stature that says he has done some training, yet his stance shows no semblance of experience in fighting.

It was quite weird that such man to own a shop that sells these antique items which were authentic but somehow looked brand new. She also surprised of the week traces of magic existing in these weapons, her knowledge from her home tells her these weapons were used by warriors to fight something larger. It was even comparable to weapons made by smiths of her home whose hands were blessed by Hephaestus.

"Yes, they are for sale. But only to those fated, it seems the lady has been called upon today by destiny. Chose the item that speaks to you and if you fancy it then please tell me." Mark was instructed by the system to speak these words as it said that only people that seeks the shop or got attracted by it would then they are able to enter it. Not sure why but Mark didn't ask further.
