Chapter 30: Best Worst Kiss
Gemma watched the city race past her with unseeing eyes, her trembling fingers pressed to her lips. She couldn't believe that she and Blaze had kissed. It had been completely unexpected and her reaction had surprised her too.
Why had she kissed him back?
Instead of providing her with much needed clarity, the kiss had only muddied the waters even further. She still didn't know how she felt about Blaze. The kiss had been amazing, and she'd enjoyed it, but she never would have kissed him herself.
She groaned softly and let her head flop back onto the headrest in despair. She felt sick to her stomach - she'd kissed someone who wasn't Max. It felt wrong, like a betrayal; like she'd cheated on the man she loved.
The kiss had definitely helped her figure out her feelings for Max. The second Blaze had closed the car door behind her, she'd felt guilty and dirty. She didn't know how she felt about Blaze but she knew with unwavering certainty that she still loved Max.
