"Rat!"
A panicked cry for help was suddenly heard.
"Kouhai-kun, come here quickly!"
Because of the psychological shadow left by his childhood, Asumi has always been very afraid of mice, even the fat hamster is a terrible carnivore in his eyes.
Naoki glanced at it and said speechlessly:
"That's a hamster."
"It's also a rodent… ahhh! It's a rodent!"
"Don't worry." Mami hastily said, "That's the hamster I raised recently..."
The hamster sniffed its nose in the air and quickly crawled towards Asumi.
Asumi's face was pale, she frantically dodged, and the sleeve of her maid outfit accidentally swept the ink bottle on the table.
Black ink splattered immediately.
A scream suddenly rang out: "My manga!!"
Asumi's body froze, and she stared nervously at Mami. After noticing that the ink was soaked with a thick pile of manga, she bit her lower lip.
"I..."
Naoki stepped forward quickly, straightened the discarded ink bottle, picked up the manga manuscript on the table, stretched out his hand, and put the runaway hamster back into the cage.
"Script… Script…"
Mami sat on the ground with a 'puff', like a zombie in Plants vs. Zombies, everyone went gray, and just shouted the script.
"Sorry." Asumi's face was pale, she bowed 90 degrees, "It's all my fault."
As a maid, she caused so much trouble for her master that she couldn't shirk her responsibilities no matter what.
Mami's eyes are dull: "Tomorrow is the deadline for the draft... I ended up staying up all night to finish drawing... I died..."
Asumi's heart couldn't stop sinking, and she almost bit her lip until it bled.
If she wasn't so nervous.
If she was more careful.
If I accidentally ruin Mami-san's life as a manga artist...
At this moment, a serious voice suddenly sounded.
"You still have time."
Mami was blank-eyed and Asumi lifted his head and looked at Naoki.
"The manga isn't all stained with ink." In just one minute, Naoki had managed to separate the manga, "I checked and only the top manga and the bottom manga are stained with ink, and the manga in the middle is fine, so only need to make a third."
"Only a third, even if you say so…" Mami was crying, sobbing, her tone was hopeless and sad, "The draft deadline is 12 o'clock tonight, and I can't finish everything myself. .."
"What if there is Mangaka's assistant?"
"Eh?"
"My little sister is also a manga artist, and sometimes I help her as an assistant." Naoki pointed to himself, "Please leave the assistant job to me."
Mami's eyes shone slightly, and there was a touch of anger on her face, and muttered:
"If I had one more assistant, I might be able to catch up."
Naoki said earnestly:
"Then get up quickly, don't sit on the ground and waste time."
"Oh yes."
She was clearly an adult in his twenties, but when she heard Naoki's orders, she stood up like an elementary school student looking at his teacher.
"Senpai." Naoki turned to look at Asumi, and said warmly, "Please clear the table, don't worry, you can catch up."
Asumi bit her lower lip and came: "Help Kouhai-kun."
Naoki smiled lightly, in a calm and confident tone:
"Leave it to me."
Naoki wasn't lying, he did work as a Manga assistant for Nanjo. Even though he was only employed as a casual laborer, it was still part of his experience.
Mami took a cloth rope out of the drawer and tied it to her head, with the words 'must win' written on it, and sat down at the table and started frantically drafting.
After drawing the script, Mami handed the script to Naoki, reminding it, "Here, here, there, background, blackout, effect lines, and point shadows…"
"Understood."
Naoki was sitting on the chair next to him, with a straight waist and a calm expression, holding a pencil in his right hand and quickly drawing as needed.
"Wow, that's fast!" Mami opened her eyes wide and exclaimed, "Asakawa's hands are so fast, single boys are really amazing."
What does that have to do with being single? Believe it or not, I sue you for molesting a male high school student!
Asumi no longer wanted to make jokes at this point, and asked nervously:
"Mami-san, I wonder if I can meet the deadline?"
"At the current speed, I should be able to catch up." Mami's eyes regained a high light, and she was full of energy. "No, I will definitely be able to catch up. Thanks to Asakawa for sharing more, than half the work, there must be no problem."
"Good..."
Asumi clutched his chest and heaved a sigh of relief.
The expression in the blank eyes just now, as if life has lost its dream and future, is too self-blame and guilt-ridden.
"Do not talk." Naoki's tone was cold, "Quickly draw."
"Yes, I'm sorry. (>_<)"
Asumi took out his cell phone, glanced at the time, and quickly said:
"You guys are busy, I'll make dinner."
She can't draw manga. She always had to do something in my power. As a maid, at least she is good at cooking.
Make dinner.
Asumi came out of the kitchen, "You guys rest first, you can eat."
Mami didn't lift her head: "Wait till I finish drawing this one..."
"Go to dinner." Naoki put down his pencil and ordered, "After eating, draw some more."
"Yes."
Mami nodded obediently.
Asumi was dumbfounded and said, "You listen to Kouhai-kun too much, right?"
"It's very simple." Naoki shrugged his somewhat stiff shoulders, "Because now I have the final say."
"Hey, don't talk too much."
Naoki put on a serious expression and ordered:
"Asumi senpai, go and serve me a bowl of rice."
"Hah?" Asumi raised her eyebrows, "You really let me serve rice?"
"Wrist hurts." Naoki sighed and raised his right hand, "I won't be able to eat the rice that senpai served, so I guess I won't be able to draw anything."
"Damn it!"
Asumi gritted her teeth and was reluctant to help with the food.
"Thank you, senpai." Naoki took the rice, looked at Asumi who was still in a weak state, and reminded, "How was the maid cafe?"
"Don't worry." Asumi said softly, "I already told the store manager, you don't have to worry."
After a quick dinner, Naoki and Mami were busy again.
Time passed quickly.
It was half past ten at night.
"Done..." Looking at the newly released draft of the manga, Mami muttered like a dream, "I completely redrawn before the deadline..."
