Tommy knew he always had a thing for Kimi.

Everything she did just seemed to lighten his day.

Even though he was 11 he knew he wanted Kimi for his own.

He stared across the room at Kimi sitting at her desk doing her schoolwork. Work!

"Oh crud!" he thought, "I forgot I was in school." He quickly started back down at his math work.

Only one more problem and the school day would be over. He bit at the end of his pencil.

"Hmmmm", he said with a perplexed look on his face. "Aha", he said quite loudly as he wrote the answer down on the paper.

He then got up and handed the paper to his math teacher, Mr Jenkins. Just then the bell rang.

Phil who had done before him followed him out the classroom door.

"So are you going to ask Kimi out today?" he asked Tommy.

"Yep" he replied.

"Ohhhh I can't wait to see this" Phil said with a devilish grin on his face.

Tommy walked toward Kimi worrying about what her response would be.

"Oh please say yes", he said over and over in his head."Alright this is it"

He then walked up to Kimi who greeted him with a smile.

"Ummmm, Kimi", He said in a weak voice.

"Yes", she replied.

"Will you go out with me", he muttered.

Kimi's face turned scarlet.

"Yes. When." she finally said.

"Saturday at 7:00" he replied as if he had rehearsed this whole thing before. "I'll pick you up"

He then walked away. As he turned the corner Phil rejoined him.

"You did it, man!" Phil said to Tommy.

"And I'm the happiest man alive" he replied with a huge smile on his face
