Chapter 45

It's been a week since the time I got reunited with Mikey. I've spent my time with him. We need to catch up for the time we missed.

Today is Saturday, I'm going on the supermarket with Mikey to buy some supply like food and other things because we just run out of supply in the house. It might turn out on a date.

"Take care of Y/n Mikey" Mother reminds him again and again to always take care of their only child

"I'll always be doing that Kousei-san" Mikey uttered as he look at me

I hold his hand and smiled at him like I always do.

On the supermarket we bought all the things that is listed here at the note my Mother give me to buy.

We went to get vegetables and fruits. Some meat, pork, chicken, and fish. Seasoning is on the list too. Snacks is needed. Toilet stuffs and a lot more.

We enjoy shopping. After paying for all of that me and Mikey went to eat before going back.

Mikey has a sweet toot so we decided to eat sweets. Not to mention he bought his favorite taiyaki. He enjoy munching it so much. I'll always remember how he use to look like while eating taiyaki. He always look so happy.

On our way back home I notice someone has been following us this whole time. I guess Mikey already knew since his been gazing somewhere earlier on till now.

We reach home. Mother help me to organized all of the things we just bought. Mikey excused himself as he step out for a moment. I was going to follow him when he said I should stay home. I'm certain that his going after that person who's been tailing us. His eyes tells everything.

Even so I knew what his up too I still followed his order not to go after him.

Mother seems to notice that something is off with me.

"Are you okay? Did Mikey do something to you?" She got curious so she asked

I shrugged my head, "No, were good, I'm just worried" I told her the truth

"Why don't you go with him?" she suggested

"I'd love too, but it ain't a good one Mom, I'll just help you here" I said as I showed her a reassuring smile

"If you say so" she sigh

We wrapped all of this. Somehow we finish earlier than I thought. I already help mom peeled some vegetables, onion and garlic for the stew she's going to make for lunch. But Mikey is not here yet. I'm getting to get nervous so I step out of the house and look for him.

I look for him where I wish to find him but I didn't see a sign that his here or even a silhouette.

I run off everywhere, gosh I wish I followed him earlier.

Where did he run off too?

I'm breathing heavily because I keep running in this sunny weather. 

Later on, sunlight fades away, replaced by clouds shave by dark grey color. It gets darker and the rain started pouring. I'm soaked by the rain and yet I haven't seen Mikey.

I decided to go home but then somewhere down the alley I saw a familiar silhouette near the bush. I walk on that direction and I wasn't mistaken. For some reason I saw Mikey  shivering as his kneeled down. What surprised me is that familiar silhouette I saw.

Yiruma Ai's body is covered with his own dripping blood. Mikey is holding a knife and have splash of blood in his clothes and he got also in his hand.

Yiruma caught blood in the scene as his kneeling body fell of the ground.

Mikey just killed Yiruma.

"Mikey...." I mumbled as I covered my mouth in surprised

Yiruma. Before his last breath. He saw me and smiled as he whispered that one word.

'Fight'

Mikey's eyes turned on me. His eyes narrowed. He got that feeling when a brick just had fallen in him.

"Y/n... I-I d—didn't—" he paused, still shock from what just happened

"I w-wasn't t-trying t-too" he stuttered

"I understand!" I mumbled as I went closer to him

His eyes become more pitch black.

I recall the memory when I ended Sass life. I know exactly what Mikey feels right now.

"You killed Yiruma, Mikey" a sudden appearance of Kanta Totsuki

He finally showed himself.

"I didn't mean to do that, you push him" Mikey said as he stands up still covered in Yiruma's blood

"Mikey I've been waiting for this moment, the two of us fighting to our end" Kanta mumbled he doesn't even care that his one ally Yiruma just died

"You gave to get through me" I said as I covered Mikey 

"As if you can put a punch on me Y/n" Kanta said in a sarcastic tone

Mikey on the other hand hold my left shoulder as he went pass me. He smiled like his telling me it's okay. But his mood shifted as he sets his eye on Kanta.

"Let's settled everything here Kanta, Let's end this" said Mikey being motivated

They charge to each other as punches befall to each other's fist. One wrecked havoc as it punches to the others face. One aimed for the others chest. They both fly as they separated.

The fight commence again Kanta aimlessly punch Mikey.

Mikey wrapped his arm on Kanta's neck as they fall down on the ground. Kanta manage to got away from it. Kanta then dodge Mikey's attack as he charge for another punch that landed on Mikey's face. He continue it with the punch on the chest and on the arm and a kick on the leg. Mikey confronted it. Mikey then move his feet faster as he throw a kick on Kanta's chin. Kanta cough blood. Mikey aimed for his right arm next but then Kanta didn't let it pass through. Kanta caught Mikey's hand as he pulled him in as he punch Mikey on the ground. Mikey's blood splattered.

Mikey took a breath and manage to stands up with the attack he just receive. Both are badly wounded but none of them wanted to give up on this fight.

They said man can talk to each other with their punches. Maybe the bought of them are trying to communicate with every punches and kicks they throw to each other.

"In this fight One must die in order to end this, you got that don't you Mikey" Kanta muttered

Kanta revealed a knife as it gets through Mikey skin. On his abdomen. Mikey cough rapidly.

"Did you intentionally just did that because you want me to die" Mikey is in rage and punch Kanta

"Like I said it's between life and death Mikey, that's the only way to end this" Kanta shouted as he put on a punch on Mikey's face

"Are you really trying to kill me?" Mikey asked him

"Because if you do then I don't have a choice but to kill you too" Mikey continued, Mikey returned the punch

"And so be it Mikey" Kanta muttered in finality, Kanta returned the punch

Mikey saw an opening and he get that chance to beat Kanta with only punches.

Mikey his really going to kill Kanta. Just a few more punches Kanta will die. Even if I wanted to stop them both  I couldn't do it. Because I know it won't work. Stoping them won't work.

"I don't understand you even in the end" Mikey mumbled as he almost punch Kanta to his end but he didn't, he let him be on his own

Mikey is walking away but Kanta spoked up.

"I let you kill Yiruma because I wanted to know if you can kill me, but Mikey even all of the things I did to you and Y/n you can't still manage to kill me" Kanta muttered

"You're a friend"  Mikey whispered as he left with me

His all wounded up so I get him admitted to the hospital immediately. He already lost a lot of blood and he almost die. His already in a crucial moment before he got into the hospital.

I also sent an ambulance for Kanta. He needed treatment too.

I'm so worried of Mikey. His undergoing a surgery right now. Kanta got admitted to this place and his undergoing a surgery too. He had fallen unconscious the moment he arrived in the hospital just like Mikey.

It's already evening. Mother and Father got worried of me they went here and give me food and a blanket earlier this afternoon.

The surgery is already done and yet it's already evening and his still not awake. I can't spend the night not worrying about him. I can't even sleep.

I touch Mikey's hand as I pray for him to wake up.
