Lala's childhood "friend"

Another day of school and I'm now running to my school on time.

For the first time I woke up late because Lala removed the alarm from my room, she did it because the sound of the alarm bothers her so she removed it from my room. This resulted in both of us waking up in the middle of going to school.

-Lala is lucky that she can fly without worrying. - I say this running down the sidewalk. 

I know that I can also fly or teleport to the school entrance without any problems, but I prefer not to be too dependent on my powers. 

💭I could stop time so I could walk without worries, why didn't I think about that? Well now I'm close to school.

On the way to school I see a girl with wine-colored eyes and green hair, which left me a little surprised and she is wearing a male uniform.

💭 Why is she wearing a male uniform?

- I think you better go soon, otherwise you'll be late. - I warn her, looking at me with a smile. -

Thank you, but it's okay. - she responds.

- Ok then. - I respond, starting to run again.

💭Well, it's her choice to be late or not.

In the classroom

When classes were about to start, the teacher said that we have another new transfer student. I was a little surprised by this news, but I didn't care much. When the student entered the room, all the girls (except Lala and Haruna) in my class were shocked by the newcomer's appearance. 

The teacher said his name is Ren Elise Jewelria. Ren is my height and he has crimson red eyes and white hair with a mixture of black. 

💭Who is this guy?

Ren looks at everyone and he lets out a smile that makes the girls in the room scream when a girl sees her favorite idol. When the teacher was going to tell Ren his seat, Ren starts walking towards me and Lala.

- I finally found you, my bride! - Ren said with a smile at Lala.

💭Bride?!

When he said those words he caught my attention and everyone in the classroom.

- Lala-chan, I knew it was you as soon as I saw you. Even if you are in a crowd, you cannot hide your beauty. - Ren said, taking both Lala's hands, who doesn't understand anything that's happening.

- What do you mean Lala-chan's fiancée?! - Saruyama shouted, getting up from the chair.

- So you are Akira Yuuki? - said Run pointing to Saruyama who is confused.

- What did you say? - said Saruyama.

- Don't confuse me with Saruyama. - I answer.

- So it's you? - said Run.

- Is there a problem? I answer.

- No not yet. Akira Yuuki, I'll tell you something. I'm taking Lala-chan and coming back! - Ran said with a confident smile and for some reason I feel a small sensation of irritation when he said that.  

💭That's strange, I don't get bothered that quickly.

-Hai, Hai! I have a question! - said Lala, getting up from her table.

- What is it, Lala-chan? - Ren said.

- Who are you? - Lala said with an innocent smile that left Ren in complete shock. 

💭Ok, I didn't expect that response from her.

-A-As expected of Lala-chan. I think I'm still not good enough for you, even though my heart is all yours. Either way, I won't lose. That's because I'm a man! - Ren said. 

💭What does being a man have to do with this? 

- What is your relationship with Lala-chan? - asked Saruyama. 

Upon hearing this, Ren handed us a photo of him and Lala when they were children. 

- Ahhh! This is me as a child! - said Lala.

- And the other one can only be you, but why are you wearing women's clothes? - I ask.

- Oh! I remember now! The crybaby, Ren-chan! - Lala said.

💭 Ren-chan? Isn't he a man?

Ren started talking about his childhood with Lala. Apparently Ren was practically the victim of Lala's explosive inventions, he was treated like a laboratory rat, but oddly enough he said he liked these "good" memories.

💭Since when is that a good memory? Another thing is that Lala seems to be quite messy as a child.

And Ren also talked about the promise he made to Lala as a child that if he becomes masculine enough he will be able to marry Lala. 

- Did you really make that kind of promise? - I ask Lala.

- Hmmmm..... maybe yes, maybe no, I can't remember if that happened or not. - Lala said, confused.

Ren said that the reason for all this is so that Lala recognizes him as a man.

💭I don't know if this guy is making an idiot of himself or not?

This began Ren's movement to prove that he is a man. Starting with him tearing up a Manga in front of me.

(A/N:I can already hear screams of hate from readers from afar)  

His second attempt was to push me from the room door, making him the first person to leave the room. And finally in Ed's class he started showing off in the exercises. 

💭This is starting to irritate me.....

When the exercises were over Lala came to me and gave me a pink towel.

- Thanks for the towel, Lala. - I thank Lala.

- You're welcome Akira. - Lala said with a happy smile and Ren appears panting.

- What did you think Lala-chan? I'm more manly, aren't I? - he asked.

- Hmm. I'm not sure about that. - said Lala, which once again left Ren in complete mental shock.

Minutes later

I'm sitting on a bench resting a little after Ed's class and I keep thinking about Ren's arrival.

- So Lala has a childhood friend who wants to marry her? But it seems like Lala herself isn't even interested in him, but what if something happens between the two? - I say that and I'm starting to imagine it.

When I start to think about the small chance that Ren has, I feel that discomfort from before, but this time it's stronger.

💭For some reason I want to erase Ren from existence and I don't know why.

- Akira Yuuki! I have to talk to you! - Ren said, approaching me. 

💭 Speaking of the devil and he appears.

- What do you want now? - I respond in an irritated tone and get up from the bench.

There was silence between us and before Ren could say anything a boy bumped into him and Ren fell in front of me, I didn't have time to catch him so Ren ended up kissing me by accident.

(A/N:Yes this is a reference to Naruto)

Our reaction was immediate, Ren moved away from me and started vomiting and I'm doing the same.

- Look what you did?! Disgusting! - I say this feeling sick.

- Took the words out of my mouth! - said Ren.

After this incident, Ren and I went to the school terrace to talk.

- So what did you want to talk to me about? - I ask Ren.

- What I have to do? - said Ren.

- What? - I answer.

- Compared to you, it's obvious that I'm more manly. How am I going to get Lala-chan to recognize me as a man? - Ren said.

- Why are you telling me this? - I ask and Ren looks at me with a sad expression and then he takes my hands.

- Don't you have any kind of hidden masculine secret? Tell me this secret.... - Ren said and I take my hands back so he doesn't hold them any longer. 

- You didn't understand anything wrong, did you?  Even if you compete with me, you probably wouldn't be able to prove your masculinity. You're only doing these things thinking about yourself. Try not to bother other people. - I say that and leave the terrace leaving Ren alone. 

💭 More than just a boring boy to deal with. I don't even know why I'm so uncomfortable around him. Maybe it's what humans say is jealousy? There's no chance that this is it, Lala barely remembers him properly. 

With that out of the way I thought Ren would stop their antics, but I was totally wrong.

Apparently Ren kept asking the girls what they find masculine in a man and he kept using these tips to get Lala's attention, which resulted in a total failure.

But he didn't just stop with that, it seems he managed to become famous in Japan and became a celebrity on TV. 

- So you started this hard training so that the person you love says you are manly? - A reporter asked Ren on TV.

- Yes. I just.... - I interrupt.

- It seems like he became famous overnight. - I respond, letting out a sigh.

- I thought he was going to give up after he tried something with Lala. - Riko said.

- He became very popular on the internet and in magazines. They say that stories about heartthrobs with pure hearts are rare nowadays. And it looks like he has several fan clubs too. - Mikan said. 

- Lala, I think you better resolve this and tell him he's manly before Ren does something stupid. I don't want to have to clean up his mess. - I answer.

- I really don't mind doing that. - said Lala.

3 days later

Ren didn't accept Lala's invitation to meet her, Ren said that he has to overcome the limit of masculinity to be able to talk to Lala. 

(A/N: It wouldn't surprise me if this turned into Jojo in terms of the number of mentions of masculinity.)

After he got what he wanted, Ren arranged for Lala to go to a stadium where they can meet and me, Mikan and Riko can go along to see the event. 

The event itself was much more boring! I practically had to wait several hours for Ren to arrive at the stadium since he was running from the desert to the city. 

(A/N: Don't ask me how it's possible, just follow the boat)

Furthermore, the presenter kept praising Ren until he arrived at the stadium. I admit, I slept almost the entire event.

(A/N: I think Ren takes the award for the biggest Alien simp in anime, because who would do all this knowing that the girl had forgotten about you. And even though he knows that she's already about to marry another guy, he still keeps trying. If That's not a big simp, I don't know what it is) 

When Ren finally arrived at the stadium and he caught up with Lala, he stopped running being completely exhausted. 

- Now Lala-san, tell Ren a few words. - Said the presenter and Lala took the microphone. 

- Ren-chan, you have become manly - Lala was going to continue, but a fly kept flying into Ren's nose and he sneezed.

At the exact moment this happened, smoke covers his entire body and the girl with green hair that I saw 3 days ago appears in Ren's place. 

💭Nani?! 

-Kyaaaaa!!!! - shouted the girl who is completely naked.

Ren's incident was a complete disaster and I asked Lala to explain to me what exactly happened.

- In other words, Ren-dono has a special ability that allows him to transform into a girl after sneezing. - Peke said.

- Oh what a shame! You can't call a girl masculine! - Lala said with a smile.

- Now I know why you call him Ren-chan instead of Ren-kun. And why he was wearing women's clothes in the photo. - I answer.

- Are you jealous of Ren-chan, Akira? - said Lala.

- No, I was not. - I answer that, but Lala hugs me, letting out a laugh.

- Don't worry Akira, my heart belongs to you only. - Lala said, which for some reason made me very happy and I let out a sigh.

- Only you can say this without fear. - I respond with a smile on my face.
