Jake staggered back a little, pulling the phone away from his ear.

What did his uncle mean by that? Was he starting to grow soft simply because Kaiden had called? What about him then? Didn't he get to deal with so much negative emotion in the past days? Besides, what was Spence's argument in all this? What part of the text message getting sent by Kaiden did the man not care to understand? Or was it the part where it had read that he was going to push through and get married to Vanessa? What moral justification did his Uncle suppose that Kaiden had for texting him that?

In anguish, Jake started to feel his brain instantly fry up 

"Jay... Hello, Jake. Jake, are you there?..."

Spence's voice resonated loudly in the receiver but Jake was in no mood to pick up the calls any longer. He moved towards the exit and walked out of his bedroom, leaving the mobile phone lying on the bed, isolated!
