Daney had his sight focused on the ground as he tried to avoid the pitiful stares of the two girls after they saw his ears being twisted by Bretta until he apologized to Golver for spreading 'vile rumors'. 

With bright red ears and a rosy face, he kept eyeing giving his mother a resentful stare but every time she turned her head to look at him, he would present her a meek smile.

And while Bretta was babysitting the three kids, Golver, carrying with the 'fainted' Ryne, kept following the mana signature of Lumien in his head.

After all the unfortunate events he had heard of and witnessed with his own eyes, from the disappearance of the two protection squads and finding their bodies later on to the eerie temple, their separation from their groups, and those groups disappearing, there was no way he could allow Lumien to roam around to search for a way back to Ro-han city without any form of protection.
