To Eltadra (1)

Port City of Eltadra, Elachron.

In the map of the Elchaes continent, the very first port city was currently being built. From the border of the Land of the Emperor, the port city would be about two weeks of traveling by carriage being pulled by mutated animals. It was faster than the normal horse-drawn carriage. Also, the carriages in Elachron had been tweaked a lot of times to adapt to numerous terrains. It wouldn't be far from the time that they would be able to make engine-powered cars.

The building of the docks was going as planned. The workers were very careful when they built the frame and the base of the docks. They had been warned of the terrifying monsters that were lurking under the surface of the vast sea, so they are executing extreme caution. However, when they were wrapping up their day's work, an earthquake suddenly occurred. The earth shook vigorously and their tools fell out to the sea. Then… an enormous mouth surfaced from the sea. It had sharp-edged teeth that were bigger than their carriages. It bit down the docks that protruded from the land as the workers ran for their lives. First, the sturdy docks were marred with giant teeth marks. Then, the monster suddenly rampaged and used its body to ram repeatedly against the docks. It bent and the monster didn't stop until the shape of the docks became no more.

After everything had been concluded in Strevalia, every nook and cranny, Emersyn came home in her world with a lot of people in tow.

There were the boys from Eshea, Alaric, and Gaius along with their entourage, and the men in Nastrua. She accommodated them in the residential area that had been recently built in the area of her land. It was expansive and filled with luxury equipment and rooms. This accommodation was only temporary since they would be training for their future lives here in Elachron and their missions in the other worlds. They settled first in their own rooms with their baggage in their newly acquired rings from Emersyn. Everyone was already taught what they would be doing in Elachron when they were still in Strevalia.

Emersyn entered her office and sat on the reclining chair. She read through the files that needed her approval and stamped her seal on a few of them and wrote a few revisions before putting it on another side of the table. A knock was heard when she finished the last document.

"Enter."

"My Lord," Draven entered quietly and closed the door. His expression was grave.

"Yes, Draven."

"There has been a sighting of a monster in the port city we are currently building."

"I presume that it's a sea monster?"

"... yes. It destroyed a part of the town where we are building our docks. Fortunately, our citizens are safe and sound from the attack. They were able to protect themselves. However, the accursed sea monster that was reported was never seen before. So, we concluded that the location of the port city we are building has been chosen as the territory of a huge sea monster. Besides, this world has never seen a sea monster before, right?"

"Yes, indeed. This planet had just been recently defrosted, and people lived underground before that."

"That's right, my Lord. So, we have no knowledge. The books we retrieved from the previous residences of the ancient Elachron weren't eligible enough to be a resource material. We cannot gather enough data because of that. According to your previous order of preparation to build a sturdy submarine that we could use to explore the sea, we are currently about 85% done. However, it was only a prototype. At this rate, it might take a few decades to explore this uncharted territory of our world."

"Stop the construction of the port city for now. The mining of the minerals in this continent has been undergoing, right?"

"Yes, my Lord. We also started cultivating materials that could turn into valuable minerals. Our storage of tempered metals is still filled to the brim, so we can increase the workers that will develop our submarines."

"You know it. We will increase the budget of our workers in our technology development department and focus it on making our submarine. They are permitted to use whatever they deemed important for the advancement of the submarines. Don't limit them, or we will impede our own growth. If we are short on money, you can access my palace's treasury. I will also supply it with more money once I see it decrease. Don't worry about the money and just move forward. I will also come to inspect and observe their progress."

Draven smiled then nodded.

"Following you will always be my greatest choice."

"It is only necessary for our world."

"Besides, my Lord…."

"What is it?"

"We will never touch your money for unnecessary reasons. It is what you earned by yourself and we wouldn't dare spend it carelessly. Please remember that."

Emersyn smiled wryly and nodded, her expression softened.

"I expect you to deliver my words exactly. In the meantime, I will be scouting. Will that be okay, Draven?"

"As you wish, my Lord. However, you have to be careful. Even though you are strong, we still worry about your health."

"I will," Emersyn stood up then excused herself from her office.

Her office was on the first floor of her palace for convenience's sake, so she just went outside and headed towards the residential area of her land. It was quite far since there were many buildings that were built there. There weren't any stores there since it was merely for accommodating her guests. There was a palace near them that would be able to supply them with cooked food. That palace was the one with the most servants living there. There wasn't anyone who was important living there, so they had more leeway in their time. Even though they had leeway, they still wanted to be able to serve their Lord one day once an opportunity arrived.

Once she arrived in the residential area, servants were scrambling through to greet her.

"My Lord!"

"What are you doing here, my Lord? Do you need anything?"

"Good day, my Lord!"

"I'm sorry if I wouldn't be able to give you some refreshments, my Lord. These are asked by the guests."

"Oh, that's fine. I am here to visit Yulem. However, I am thankful for your concerns. I will be going into the kitchen in your palace to drink, then. Will that be okay?"

"Yes, please!" They all said in perfect unison.

"I will be going now," Emersyn said with a smile and went to the third building. She went to the elevator and pressed Floor 4. Once it opened up, she walked and arrived before Room 403. She knocked.

"Coming!"

"It's me," she announced.

"I'm coming, my Lord!" Yulem responded with urgency.

"You don't have to hurry, you know?" Emersyn laughed as she watched Yulem open the door, heaving. "So, how is your first time living here?"

"It's very… foreign, my Lord. I have never lived so easily like this. By the way, what are you doing here?"

"Well, I just needed you for a job. I'll be visiting a few more people to ask for their assistance. I need to hurry though, or the servants would be nervous from waiting for me. I'll be seeing you in my office tomorrow. Prepare for a few months' worth of travel."

"Understood."

"Once again, welcome to Elachron, Yulem. I hope you will enjoy your stay here."

With that, Emersyn left. She visited a few more people and went to the palace where the servants were waiting for her around the small garden table filled with sweets and beverages that they seemed to invent on their own. She sat down after a few rounds of pleasantries and started eating the desserts with gusto. She expressed her opinions and even tasted the delicious beverages they made for her. She didn't know that the servants here were inventing their own drinks and desserts.

"Will you be selling this to the citizens?" Emersyn asked as she took a sweet sip of the Avocado Mango smoothie.

"Oh. Of course not, my Lord. We are making these to please you. We don't have any intentions of selling these at all."

Emersyn's eyes widened and looked at all the servants happily serving and watching her. Her smile deepened and said, "I think I'll have to permit you to go to my palace, so I can taste all of your creations."

The servants' eyes twinkled and they cheered.

"I will send you my schedule after our expedition."

"It will be an honor, my Lord!" They said in unison.
