After a moment of panic, she caught a familiar scent. It was Aqin!

She wanted to ask Aqin what he was up to, but her mouth was covered, and all she could muster was muffled cries.

Axi heard the commotion and immediately raised his voice, asking, "Who are you? What are you doing? If you have a problem with me, let her go!"

No one answered him.

Aqi realized Axi had misunderstood, and struggled, hoping that Hai Qin would release her.

However, to Axi, her struggling only sounded like she was being tortured.

Feeling helpless, Axi said, "Aqi, wait for me!"

Then, the blue whirlpool disappeared.

Seeing this, Hai Qin released Aqi. But then he was berated a storm of abuse so fierce it made his head spin.

Hai Qin cowered. "Sister, calm down. Didn't you want to know who Axi really is? I helped you. He's coming now!"

Aqi froze in her movements.

Hai Qin was right. Axi was coming. Would he misunderstand that she and Aqin were playing a trick on him?
