Boyfriend/ leader

Lily ran to the mess to collect the ration which they refused to give at first but Lily haggled and promised that she would not waste the ration. She collected eggs and bread with butter and 15 cartons of milk. She heated the milk, boiled the egg and buttered the toast in 25 min and called the team. Zee and Zen gave her a look of pity but they couldn't do anything. Edward came to the table looked at the arrangement and made an ugly face, scoffing he sneered " this is not fulfilling breakfast for us. You have to try again tommorow errand boy".

Half of the members left her behind while half stayed behind and ate the spread because they felt pity for her didn't like to see her efforts gone wasted. Whole compound knew about the girl that their leader Zack liked but they have not seen her face clearly because Zack wore disguise when they traveled out and very few knew who he was, hence the girl next to him was never questioned, thus Lily was never questioned infact they thought she failed the test and was working here to earn another chance and Lily never cleared their doubt.

Lily felt thankful for those who stayed behind and decided to improve their breakfast and make more arrangements next time. She decided to wake up at 3:00 AM and make a fulfilling spread for them as a form of gratitude. Most of the food prepared was finished by the few members that joined her. She already guessed that Edward only wanted to show his dominance and would never sit down and eat. So the food she arranged was enough for half of the regiment.

Finally there regiment started their training, after which some were send for mission they chose to perform, as finally there was a peace in Knight family army. As Lily had dual identity of being a soldier and errand boy she trained with them. But when on the break while everyone rested she was asked to supply water and towels. Thus her arms were aching badly but she maintained a smile on her face and did her job. Only person who made it difficult for her was Edward. He found minor mistakes everywhere and made her redo the jobs many times. Sometimes he would obnoxiously demand she polish his shoes and sometimes he disliked the temperature of water she gave him. Sometimes he asked for warm towel and sometimes for wet one.

Lily gritted her teeth and continued her work never once refusing him. He also tried to hit her on the head or shin when he felt irritated by the smile she always carried or her work was unsatisfactory which was most of the time but Zee and Zen stopped him everytime and she was grateful for that. Finally at night feeling bone tired she lied on her cot and made a personal call to Zack. He smiled seeing her number. Zack picked up the call and Lily said in coy tone " may I know if I am speaking to my boyfriend or my leader Zack Knight".

Zack smiled " that depends on who do you want to speak with". Lily giggled then groaned because her back was killing her, but she hid it with a cough and replied " I want to talk to my boyfriend because I want to curse at my leader". Zack laughed " what has that bastard done". Lily growled " you can't talk about my leader like that, even though he is heartless but still he is close to my heart". Zack smiled finding her cute, whole day he was worried for her because military was hard place for women and there was more chance of her getting bullied. So, he asked her in serious tone " are you alright ".

Lily smiled she could feel his concern " I am alright, infact I think I became more efficient working here and my working speed is improving. This is also an opportunity that I am treasuring because I know whatever you have planned is for my betterment". Zack smiled feeling relieved that his girlfriend was understanding and calm about her punishment and trusted his plan.
