Ezra stated at the Alpha who simply stated they were going to Chicago without any explanation. He could only sigh.

Thiago Madris was a difficult person but no one could blame him thanks to his past.

The ride to the airport was short. Owning a business industry that spread out to different parts of the world, Ezra knew Thiago had something somewhere in Chicago and he probably wanted to check it up.

Werewolves were at their prime in the supernatural world. There was once a time when the Basilisks were the heads or the dragons. But after the war, the werewolves became stronger. no one knows why.

The vampires were the weaker creatures. Despite the fact that the humans had a little bit of awareness of the Vampires and the werewolves, the vampires were still weaker as they were stupid enough to reveal their weaknesses to all to know.

Ezra mused on in his mind about the creatures the humans called Mythical. He thought of how the humans believed werewolves were shape shifters who could adorn the body of a wolf. Or how they had halfwolf and half human bodies.

He chuckled at the thought of the Gamma as a werewolf image of the humans.

"What's so funny Witcher?" A woman with a sharp edge to her voice brought Ezra out from his curious mind.

Ezra then wondered if it was because of his witch blood he had too many curious thoughts. Witches were curious in nature, always wanting to find more and exploring with their spells. It's no wonder the humans discovered them.

"Look at him ignoring me and sinking into thoughts" the woman exclaims, not that surprised as she was used to Ezra's wandering mind.

This woman is the Gamma, the third in command to the Alpha, right under Ezra.

"Are we bullying Ezra again?" A man who sounded boyish spoke from behind Ezra.

Ezra grinned as they all met at the airport. "I'll assume he didn't tell you why we're going?" Ezra asked with a knowing grin as the two gave him a tight smile.

"Don't stress it Ezra. John, you'll need to inform me on that later" The woman spoke and John grinned.

A tall and lean lady walked up to them, her heels clicking loudly.

"Are you the people Mr Madris was expecting?" her voice sweet but sultry. Her green eyes glistened as she looked up at them for an answer. her hair was slightly wet.

"Please follow me" She stated after the woman confirmed her question. Her tight suit emphasizing her shape as she walked.

There was something in the air that made it uncomfortable for Ezra to breathe. He glared at the lady and barked out.

"Edna cut it out" The lady abruptly turned, making everyone aware of her presence. A few humans weren't affected but the rest looked hypnotized.

"Miranda" Ezra nodded to the woman beside him and she stepped forward, making Edna move two steps back.

she chuckled and the air was cleared. the once hypnotized people continued their journey like they never saw her.

"Better Witcher?" Her tone had a mocking edge to it.

He only glared at her while John tried to hide his smile.

"I can't help it" Edna smiles, her sweet appearance rippling to an inhuman one.

her green eyes turned to slits, her skin becoming scaly and slippery like a fish's. her snake like tongue slithered in and out of her mouth in a slow pace, running over her once smooth teeth that were now sharp and jagged.

She led them to the plane and as expected, Alpha Thiago was already inside.

"Alpha" Edna bowed, the rest following suit. the man only nodded in acknowledgement.

"She will give you the details. Edna?"

Edna walked forward to give them the files and he turned to her, his red eyes assessing her. "Try to look pleasant for once Edna" And he closed his eyes.

Ezra sighed, taking his seat and reading through the file. they were headed to a bar run by a lower class vampire and it was built on Madris property.

Ezra didn't know when he fell asleep but when he woke up, he remembered that he had a vision of the bracelet.

it wasn't the first time he had seen it but everytime, he'll hear a lady's voice which he assumed to be Devora.

This time he heard her laugh and he didn't know why his heart longed to hear it in reality.

"We'll be landing shortly, please fasten your seatbelts" The flight attendant's voice brought Ezra to the present.

he fastened his seatbelt wondering if someone didn't bring him out of his thoughts he'll be lost forever.

the plane landed and they got into their cars, waiting for them outside the airport.

Thiago had sunglasses on, because of his red eyes. His red hair glowing in the sunlight, he was the quickest to enter his car.

The ride was long and as it was already evening when they got there, it was night by the time they got to the bar.

As they entered, the place was suddenly silent, all eyes on them.

It didn't help that a short, drunk man was shouting that they were VVIP guests.

"That's the vampire we're looking for?" Miranda asked, her nosed crinkled in disgust.

Two waitresses were standing in the middle of the place, lost in their own world until the one with the dark hair looked up at Ezra.

Her eyes widened as if in recognition and her lips parted to mouth the word Ezra.

Ezra stared at her, flashes of a little girl with hair as dark as that came to his mind.

"Devora. I finally found you"
