Chapter 1.5: Do Kapre Growl?

(GROOoOOOOWLLLLL) (GRAAAAHHHHHH)

A huge black figure sighted far away was somehow rushing into our direction. It was far away so we couldn't clearly see its distinction. But I noticed it was something weird then I asked.

"Hey isn't that Bad-"

The hair on my hands stood up sending chills all over my body, then I jumped to the Dark elf's direction and pushed her into the ground. She asked.

"What are you-?"

Suddenly a huge gust of wind passed by us at a speed faster than the sound. we froze as chills shivered our spine, we don't know what it was. But as soon as we heard a crash.

'BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMM'

A deafening explosion ruptured our ears to a point we can't hear anything but a high pitched frequency. We tried to look at it but a blast of wind pierced our sights blinding us.

As soon as we recovered our sights, we came to look at the damage of the explosion. It ruptured trees with width thicker than a car, making cracks of crater at the ground.

"What the fuc_"

(GROOOOOOOWWWWLLLLL)

A Loud growl reverberated and shuddered the trees adjacent to it blowing upon leaves like a shockwave, it was so loud that it ruptured our newly recovered ears even when we covered them. Small branches of leaves hit my face making me blind again.

As soon as I recovered my eyesight I then looked at the crashed site. I was staggered with eyes wide open, my mouth couldn't contain but gulped down my saliva after seeing a huge figure hovering 14-feet in height covered in its Chocolate Dark skin, Its eyes emits a glow of bloodlust as blood veins were concentrated on its forehead.

It possesses the body of a Greek god with veins popping out on its arms. Wearing a rag of feathers covering its lower body. There is no doubt that the giant over there is a genuine monster.

I then tried to wake up to my senses as it was shattered by the cacophonous scream, and as I was just getting recovered-

(GROOOOOOWWWWWLLLLLL)

We turned around to find out another loud growl coming from a different direction and just like this one, it was filled with Bloodlust. As I glance around the damage, a tree was flying atop of my head with it's lower roots nowhere to be found. Huge winds blasted again piercing my eyesight.

"Argh How many times do I have to get blinded!"

As soon as it calmed down, Several huge trees that were 50 to 100 years old were already shattered in half, even its other upper half gone, nowhere to be seen. It was another 14-feet giant with its arms evaporating in smoke.

Looking at its physique and its position, It seems like that monster smashed the forest and took down trees that big in an instant. I was shocked that I called the name of the Lord.

"Jesus Christ-"

My hands trembled in fear, I even unsheathed the Chunraporicopo back to its scabbard. It was the very definition of monsters you shouldn't fuck around. Terrified by this menace, I immediately stood up and took the dark elf's hand.

She asked at the urgency I made.

"What are you doing?"

"WHAT ELSE RUNNING!"

"Whaaaa?"

Unable to quickly stand, I drag the elf by her hand making her roll at the floor.

"Wait, let me stand firs-"

As she was dragged down, we turned mute as we suddenly felt loud stomps shaking the ground. It was like an earthquake with the intensity of 7.

"An Earthquake?-"

"TF an earthquake?" I asked, because I knew this thing wasn't an earthquake. hair all over our body stood up and thought of the possibility it was the being that shook down the trees. yet at the same time hoped it was not, now we remained calm and looked. But-

"Yo, What the-"

We were right. The 14-feet giant that crashed away earlier came hurtling into our direction. Its eyes were locked into us, preying at its next meal.

"Shit! Shit! Shit! SHIT!"

I hurriedly panicked and immediately grabbed the dark elf and took her into my shoulders adding a scream.

"WHAT THE FUCCCKKK!!!!!"

I ran at full speed with my life on the line. Carrying a girl like her was easy yet my ankles were met with incredibly sharp pain as if my ligaments were about to torn out. "AHHHHHHHHHHHH!" I screamed in both pain and fear.

I looked behind me to see how far did the giant went to gauge how fast should I run but by the time I look-

"Shit! Shit! Shit! Shit! Shit! HE'S GETTING FASTERRRRR!!!! AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!"

It was incredibly nearby, I instantly doubled my running speed whilst my ligaments showed signs it's about to tear out. I took the sacrifice since If this keeps up and he capture us- we're fucking done!

I immediately searched for a plan looking around the place and when I found it, I screamed at her-

"DARK ELF!"

"Wha?"

I called her, then I stopped my tracks, after that with full body concentration, I threw her away.

"THROWING BITCH ATTACK!"

"WHAT ARE YOU- OIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII"

She screams as her voice slowly fades as she goes further and further away from me. I saluted and Apologized 'I'm sorry cause I need to do this'

I then continued to run and waited for the perfect spot, as soon as the giant was near me.

"FIRE BLAST!"

I turned around and shot magic at the face of the giant. It was a direct hit to the face that blinded the giant and lost control of his body and fell to the ground.

(GROOOOOOWWWWWLLLLLL)

He then raised a screeching growl that shook away the winds that even I was blown away. I immediately used this chance and activated concealment magic to hide my steps.

Concealment magic is an air-type magic that erases and blocks sound waves and even light, turning you invincible and silent.

I went immediately to where I threw the Dark elf and found her unconscious, I immediately carried her and hid behind a tree.

"Zamn, I did throw you far away tho"

I slapped her face.

"Whaaa!!!"

Then she regained consciousness.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!"

"Shhhhhhh!"

I calmed her down by covering her mouth. I then went to observe the giant that I blew away with fire blast to see its condition but-

I found him fully recovered, but its face was covered in smoke.

Slowly, the smoke disappeared then it revealed its face. There were burn wounds but somehow.

"They're regenerating?"

The dark elf asked.

"Are those Kapres?"

I opened my phone and searched.

<Search bar: Do Kapre Growls?>

<Gougle: No>

"Then What is it?"

The Dark elf let out a scared shriek as she asked.

I looked at the Kapres earlier, it was silently looking around. With my concealment magic casted, it's somehow impossible for it to detect us.

Then it let out another loud growl.

(GROOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWLLLLLLLLL)

Its growl shakes the entire forest, the trees bended on its might and the ground was slowly shattering. It was frustrated to the fact that we ran away from it.

"Did that magic paper call them?" I asked

"From earlier? it did blew me away but I think it was the cause"

"But isn't Kapre just huge giants that chills in the tree with a Tobacco on its mouth!?"

"Don't ask me, I don't know what Kapre is!"

Are those things really Kapre, Forget the tobacco features, they look exactly like them, Beards and skin. The problem is. The magic paper from earlier. If it was the one who called them-

"Who and what purpose would they do that?" She asked

I then asked the Dark elf "Are you sure it's not your ploy?"

"Huh? No-No! absolutely not, even the wavelengths of the magic is different from mine"

"Then who?"

The Dark elf proposed a theory.

"Let's forget "Who" for now. If it's really that magic paper that causes them, I think they'll lose havoc if we somehow deactivate it because Lurer is a passive magic"

"Is that so?"

Passive magic, like its name, passive magics are magics that are constant in use. They are magics that need to be sustained to work.

If we deactivate the paper, the cast itself can't be sustained and die. I looked around at where the paper was, and somehow, when I saw it.

"The Magic paper-"

"Hmmm?"

"It's already deactivated"

(Groooowwwwwllllll)

"EHHH? But that's?"

The Elf was confused. It's not passive magic but a non-passive.

"But lurer is a passive magic"

"Is it Lurer in the first place though?"

We thought about it for a while, I don't really have that much knowledge about those kinds of magic. So I thought trying to think too might be cool.

That aside, I have other worries here too. The Concealment magic I casted that hides both our presence seems to be taking a lot more mana than I thought. It seems hiding another person multiplies the usage. We need to escape this situation or we're fucked up.

I tried to think of a plan to get out of this situation and then I saw the Dark elf's worried face.

When I saw her face, Strategies came running into my mind like a puzzle until I managed to make one.

"I have a plan!"

The Dark elf asked

"What is it?"

"Be a Bait!"

"What?"

I turned off my concealment magic and grabbed the Dark elf from her waist by surprise. I then aimed at the forest and spun. As soon as I managed to make some consecutive strength I then shouted.

"HIYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"

"WUAH! AAAAAAHHHHHH!!"

With my current strength I managed to throw her right away from where the Kapre was located. She was completely shell-shocked as I immediately grabbed her without making her time to think.

Because for a person to decide a proper conclusion, they need at least 20 seconds, I use this as an advantage so we don't argue about making her the bait.

As soon as she saw she's about to hit the ground, she back flipped and landed on two feet. I was astonished.

She laughed in T-Pose as she achieved such an amazing feat.

"HEHE"

(Groowl?)

The Kapre noticed her as he just broke a tree finding us, stunned, the Kapre stared at her. The Dark elf also looked at him in the eyes and made contact with each other. She asked.

"Um, Mister H-Huge guy, I landed successfully, Te-he"

(GROOOOOWWWWWLLLLLLLLL)

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"

The Kapre chased her, I stood there behind the tree and saluted her sacrifice.

And now, for my biggest strategy!

"TACTICAL RETREAT!!!!!"

I ran away from behind them and hid in another tree.

"AHHHH HELP! HELP! HELP! HELP!"

(GROOOOOOWWWWWLLLLLLL)

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! "

Her loud cries resonated throughout the whole forest, managing to also get the attention of the other Kapre that wiped multiple trees at once. Now it started chasing her.

"WHY HAVE THEY MULTIPLIED!!!, AHHHHHHH!!!! HELP"

As she was getting the attention of those Kapre, I went behind them and took a deep breath, with the Chunraporicopo in my hands, I delivered fire into my blade and chanted.

"Heart Impact: Gradient Art!!!"

Flames whirl pooled into my dagger, lighting up everything near me. Then-

"ALTERNATIVE! THROWING IMPACT!!!!"

I threw the dagger with a blast of explosion that went right into the head of the Kapre, as soon as it hit the back of the head, it's tip thrust through it's skin, then I jumped into it and kicked the blade.

(GROOOOOOWWWWWLLLLLLLLL)

Loud scream went out the large mouth of the Kapre as pain from the Apparition killing sword slashed right into its brain.

I then jumped back and landed.

"ARGH!"

I just sprained my legs! I think I tore the Calcaneofibular ligament on my right foot, I forgot this got stressed earlier from the Leglock. I immediately backed away and looked at the back of the Kapre.

I was supposed to somehow kill it as it was hit from the brain but-

(GRRRREEEEEWWWWRRRLLLLLL)

The Kapre slowly grabbed the dagger from the back of its head, threw it away and stared right at me.

"Um, I'm sorry"

The Dark elf was still running away being chased by the other Kapre and now I somehow gathered the attention of this one in front of me. With no time to think, I instinctively chanted-

"INFERNO!"

(GROOOOOOOOOWWWWWWLLLLLL)

I blasted a Graded A fire magic which is several times stronger than the fire blast earlier right directly at the face of the Kapre.

Given the time, I immediately run-

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" The pain from the sprain and fear came together right into my head causing me to loudly scream.

The Kapre immediately recovers from the blast and starts chasing me-

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"

I heard another scream from the other side, It was the Dark elf-

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"

We ran together and brought the other Kapre into our side.

"OIII WHAT THE FUCK, DON'T BRING THE OTHER ONE HERE!"

"HELLLLPPPPP MEEEEE!"

"DON'T YOU HAVE ANY MAGIC THAT CAN HELP US HERE!?"

"I DON'T HAVE OFFENSIVE MAGICS AHHHHHHHH!"

"WE'RE FUCKKKEEEEDDD"

Running as fast as we can, I noticed that I still have the other dagger in my hips. But I can't even touch it since I'm busy running away.

Oh right I know.

"JUMP!" I shouted

"HUH!"

Then I chanted, I raised my left foot and stomped it as hard as I could on the ground.

"STAMPEDE!"

It's not a magic but a physical attack, as I stomped my feet on the ground, It created a turmoil at the soil and started to break the ground-

But-

"IT HURTSSSS" Due to the roots of the trees here being almost everywhere and thick, the soil in the ground didn't budge too much. All it brings me was pain from another sprained I got.

"EIIIIII"

I stopped in my tracks as the pain resonated throughout my entire body, The Elf jumped expecting something, and paused as she looked at me doing nothing.

Due to me expecting something big, we stopped altogether. And forgot to run.

"Umm"

"Eh?"

The Kapre grabbed me-

"WOII WOII AHHHHHHHHH"

"CRIMSON!!"

Then the other Kapre then grabbed the Dark elf-

"KYAAAAAAAAAA"

The Dark elf Shouted.

"HELP! HELP! AHHHHHH!"

I stayed silent from the shock from my failed stampede and looked at the Kapre in the face. Then as the other Kapre grabbed the Dark elf,

"AH How short I lived" she lost consciousness.

"OIIII!"

I tried to immediately find something that could save us from this situation but my arms are tied from the hand of the Kapre.

If only I could make him let go of me-, Wait- I have an-

I shouted at the Kapre

"I'm not that tasty you know!"

(GROOOOOOOOWWWWWWLLLLLLLL)

"BUT YOU MIGHT BE!"

I bit the shit of the hand of the Kapre ripping its flesh, causing it to let go of me in a defensive manner.

"URGHH YUCK!" I spit away the flesh then grab my dagger from my hips. I immediately looked at its crotch, aimed and throw the dagger right into it.

"TAKE THIS TESTICLE SLASH!" As soon as it hit, I chanted magic into it, Blowing it into fire-

(GROOOOOOWWWWWWLLLLL)

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA BURNT EGG BREAKER"

It will make the Kapre infertile!

I laughed loudly at my accomplishments, Looked right into its face and shit at his reactions. Yet for some reasons, the same Kapre stared at me with bloody-red eyes-

I started to laugh slowly "haha....ha...ha It has no effects?"

(GROOOOOOOWWWWLLLLLLL)

"SHIT! MY TESTICLE ATTACK DIDN'T HURT!"

I ran as fast as possible whilst the Kapre chased me with it's crotch blazing in fire.

"WHAT THE FUCK!"

Due to me running too much, Not just my Calcaneofibular, Now my Anterior Talofibular ligament broke too!

"AHHHHHH!"

All my ankle ligaments! Shit! I immediately fell to the ground as soon as my ligaments broke. I turned around and saw the Kapre slowly grabbing me. I don't have any weapons left, I can't run.

Looks like it's my-

I'm waiting for my life to flash back into my mind, yet why isn't it coming?

Suddenly a cold mist envelops the forest as soon as I looked behind the Kapre in front of me.

The night grew colder, as if it's about to rain snow. Then a voice echoed the forest.

It Chanted-

"Crystal Prison!"
