The World Through Her Eyes

Daimos was on the verge of giving up after losing everything to an enemy of his race. That was when a book fell into his hands and could only be wielded by someone who had a certain percentage of Cthulhu's bloodline. He thought this was his opportunity to take revenge, only to realise that he needed a minds eye to access the book. A minds eye that was severed from him. Now he needs another way to access it, and that way existed in a woman called Likyl. Now Daimos has a chance, but the books keep giving him trials that start to get harder and harder. Would he fold and give up or continue his quest for revenge. ____________________________________________________________________________ I had to pause this novel due to some issues. Freedom?

Chaos, all she saw was chaos, beautiful but slightly disorderly chaos.

'It was a lie.' She thought, looking from untop of a four storey parking lot.

The occasional cries and roars of the populace running for their lives was so loud that it even got to her ears, she was about forty four feet in the air, yet their voices sounded so close that she could almost hear every word.

She looked around her and ccould only see abandoned cars and broken walls, showing that this building was not also spared, luckily for her, she arrived when the floor was was only filled with a small number of zombies.

But she knew something others did not and now she felt bad about it. Her hair was no longer that long wavy blonde hair that reached her back, but was now shoulder lenght, her silver white body suit was now covered in dried black blood of the zombies she killed before getting here and those she met on this floor, some of the blood might be from her, but she did not care about that, her once white skin, was now tanned from all the exposure to the sunlight and her gorgeous face now had a scar running from the base of her lip to her chin, though it was not easily noticeable, it was still a scar for her.

But who cared about that, the mission that would have set her free was a lie, from the very beginning, they knew that she would never be set free, they knew she was a danger to them, she was not strong, nor was she a powerful awakened that could blow men away with just her sneeze, but her ability in the hands of their enemies was a danger to them, so why not just kill her?.

She was non of that, she was just a broken tool that the alliance did not want anymore.

"hahahahahahaha! YES, I AM A FAILURE, A REJECT! HAHAHAHA!!."

She did not when it started, but she knew she was never sane.

Maybe it was when she awakened and killed her parents due to the amount of radiation coming out from her body when her genes mutated, it was akin to a nuclear reactor.

So her parents fate was easily sealed when they were together with her on the day it happened.

Or was it when she lost the feeling in her lower body, after having being raped numerous times by the other awakened, when they found out that even though her ability was valuable, it could only be used after having certain kinds of intercourse, like kissing or having sex, for the men, it was pretty obvious, a heaven defying beauty like her ready to service them anytime and place to boost their power? hell yeah!

For the other women, especially the jealous and envious ones, well let us just say it was torture.

Endure, was all she could tell herself, endure, was her never ending motto, endure, become her friend, endure... that was all she could do.

Now she was seen as a burden, she was a distraction, she became a source of hope for them. Well, the source of hope that would buy them time, so that they could run back to the ship and go back to their home planet, whiles she was left behind in this zomobie infested planet to either die or be changed into one.

But maybe this was a good opportunity for her.

Her eyes sparkled, she was free, even though it was in hell, being free was still freedom no matter the place or circumstance.

But what can she do now, even this freedom felt like jumping from the frying pan and into the fire, maybe it was retribution for killing her parents, maybe she was never meant to be hap-.

"you know, laughing like that can get you killed...unless you are suicidal."

Her laughter stopped, her brain went blank, her body rigidly looked to her right and in the bucket of a pickup truck, a human that looked to have been in his mid or early twenties could be seen.

He had dark black hair that looked to have been braided, his hair was in a mop style but from her position she could not see his face, only his side profile, and his skin tone seemed to be light brown in color or light ebony, showing his african descent.

He was facing the entrance, so he might have seen her when she walked in, but there where about four zombies on this floor and yet here he was looking like he was never bothered by them in the slightests, his sitting position was so relaxed that one would think he was waiting for the paparazzi to pop out of somewhere and start taking pics of him.

"Errr, are you still there." His voice sounded again, he was not too loud nor too quite, his voice was loud enough for her to hear but not loud enough to echo around the floor, only someone who knew how to sing or a voice actor could achieve such an effect, she was approximately about ten meters away from him, but she felt he was talking right beside her ear."You know it is considered rude not to reply someone when asked a question."

Likyl ignored him as she realised , he was just ten meters away, yet her suits sensors did not detect anything, almost like he was not even there, no it was not that, rather his presence was so tiny that the system could not detect it.

It was like a radar on a sea ship showing the captain that a canoe was infront of them, only for him to look forward and see a cruise ship heading in their direction at full force ready to crush them.

'He is dangerous.' Likyl tought."Am sorry but I did not know I was not the only one here!" she said, slowly backing away.

"It's fine, but can you help me with something?" 'huh, he wants help?'

"It may sound wierd, and I might know you, but it's a very easy task actually."

"Okay, what is it?."

"That is great, the thing is..." Maybe he might have noticed that her voice was getting farther than before, because he suddenly turned his head towards her direction.

"!!!!" Likyl was shocked, his eyes were not like that of a humans! those eyes belonged to a race she was told to flee from if she ever saw them!

'No!!!! what kind of shitty luck is this!!' Likyl did not even hear his request but was already running for her life, her suit was running on hyper drive at this momment.

Others might not know, but as she not only lost feelings in her lower body, but also lost her ability to walk. The torment she faced at the hands of her 'team members' also damaged her lower spine, rendering her immobile. Her suit served as an exoskeleton enabling her to walk, but for the race that the man belonged to, she would not be able to go far.

..... And she was right, several grayish white tentacles suddenly enveloped her body trapping her in place. They squeezed with so much force that she felt she was going to die by suffocation.

"I am sorry to do this to you, but you see..." She heard the voice again, this time, it was no longer the normal human voice she heard before, but the voice of a creature she never thought she would see in her misreable existance.

'It's cold....my freedom is no longer hell, hell can't be this cold'
