1. The Competition

Samantha-Lee Roberts, better known as Sammy is an introvert, optimistic and hardworking girl,she comes from a working class family but she attends the one of the best schools in South Africa: Curro Academy Sandown High School, well known for it's fierce competition. Her best friends are DeQuina and Devonne.

At the start of the new term ,the students attend assembly for the prize-giving ceremony. "We all know who the top learner is" , says Devy ;just then Sammy is announced as the top student,with 5 distinctions , averaging an impressive 91%. The hall erupts into loud claps. Sammy is the school's pride and is loved by the headmaster and teachers alike ,but students hate her.

During class period ,Mr Johnson introduces a newcomer ;Adonis Moore. The whole class is smitten by his handsomeness and filled with curiosity about this new boy. After a brief introduction, Donnie sets off to find a seat, "is this seat taken"; he asks Sammy, "no" she replies. Donnie then proceeds to seat besides her."Oh great !,this gives people more reason to hate me" ; she says to herself.

The bell rings for the start of classes and Sammy has accounting first, she absolutely loves it. Her dream is to become a Chartered Accountant. Another reason for her to love the class is because of Dylan Owens; her crush of 3 years

Tessa Owens ,the person you call ' a beauty with brains '. Upon seeing Donnie ,she says to her friends ;"I don't care who he is,but I gotta have him". She then approachs him ,after seeing him look around ,as if he was a lost puppy; "Hi there, I'm Tezmyn ,but you can call me Tessa, what are you looking for ?" . "Hello,I'm new in this school ,I cannot seem to find the science lab.";he replies. "I happen to have science as well , I can accompany you."

But does Tezmyn have good intentions towards Andonis
