The First Encounter

William runs out the house with Ban on his heels and heads towards a nearby shed and runs round to the side of it and starts unlocking the sliding door then runs inside, a few moments later a red quad drives out and Ban immediately jumps on and lies in the basket while William quickly shuts the door again and speeds off towards the nearby town in search of his parents...

In the nearby town...

The town is a ghost town nobody is making any noise, except for the large amounts of zombies roaming around looking for any survivors from the attack last night. They came in the middle of the night, about 15 of them but they quickly multiplied as nobody who they attacked survived and all were turned. Very quickly the population of 10000 drastically dropped to around 1000 and the rest are now part of the ever growing hoard that will soon move on towards another town to destroy, after a few minutes a red quad can be seen speeding towards the town with a dog in the front basket. The zombies start to wander towards the sound of the quad much to the drivers annoyance as he wants to get in and out as quickly as possible, the driver is of course William.

As he was driving to the town William saw many zombies just roaming the roads and this just made his fear rise for his parents and also the fact that Annabel still hasn't replied so he doesnt know about her and her family, but after he finds his parents he will head straight to hers, just as he thinks that he sees something that stops him dead in his tracks, at the front of a large group of zombies is his parents who both have big bite Mark's on the side of their necks. Also in the group are the old couple who run the grocery store that his parents used to frequent, so he thinks that is where they all got attacked. If anybody else saw this sight they would lose all hope, and just become part of the hoard, and this is almost what happens to William, if it wasn't for Ban also being on the quad with him he likely would have just driven straight into the hoard. Yet he couldn't subject Ban to that fate as well so he must ride on and he needs to know if Annabel is still alive so with a heavy heart he turned the quad around and sped off in a different direction to look for Annabel.

Ten minutes later he reaches a large White House with black corners and switches off the quad and shout to see if anyone is there, after a few moments he can see movement from the attic and a face appears in the window. At first relief can be seen on the face but it quickly turns to horror while pointing behind William, just as the face starts pointing Ban starts give a warning growl William spins round to see 2 zombies running towards him. He quickly grabs the small hand axe from its pouch in his belt (why wouldn't he keep it on him at all times) and swings it towards the closest zombie's arm, but instead of the arm getting chopped off it just enters the skin for about an inch then stops, shocked William accidentally drops the axe which gives the second zombie a chance to lunge at him and try to bite his neck, but before it reaches William Ban leaps at it and knocks it over stopping the attack. This gives William a chance to grab the axe again and send a second chop at the same spot which goes in farther and manages to make the arm dangle uselessly, this doesn't kill the zombie but now it is unbalanced and cant lunge at him anymore, he quickly slices its neck effectively killing it as unlike other types of zombies, if the brain cant get anymore blood these zombies also die. He charges at the second zombie who has gotten off the ground from Ban's attack and throws the axe at the zombie's head, it lodges itself into the zombies eye but doesn't outright kill it...that is until William picks up a rock and smashes it into the metal axe head, forcing it deeper into the skull and killing the zombie. The person in the attic looks amazed but also distraught which confuses William until he gets a good look at the two zombies, they are Annabel's parents which means the person in the house must be Annabel, which also means he just killed his girlfriend's parents (surprisingly not a good thing) as he stops to think about what just happened the person in the attic disappears and the door opens a few moments later, and a young women walks over to William and slaps his face "How could you kill my parents you asshole?!" she screams at him. His skin turns slightly pale at the shrill shriek and he quickly stutters "woah woah wait they were trying to kill me....you saw it yourselfwhat was I supposed to do??" Annabel stops when she hears this but quickly realises that what he said is true "Oh my God my parents tried to kill you and you also had to kill them I'm so so so sorry about that" she quickly tells him. She then goes over and pats Ban's head and rubs his back "I see you had to help wee willy out, thanks for that" she tells him, hearing this William's face goes red "I told you not to call me that" he 'sternly' tells her "Its not my fault your the third William in a row and you were called that when you were younger" she casually replies "Even so that doesnt mean you have to keep calling me that" he pleads with her.

"And anyway what happened to your parents, why'd they turn?" he asks her. A look of pain flashes on her face as she just remembers that her parents dead bodies are lying just beside her...
