Opening

After five months of building the Memoria Library, the constrcution of it is finally finished along with the preparation for its opening party.

As part of the Azrael family I'm also obligated to join my family in this party.

I looked at the mask in my hand and contemplated if I should wear it fully or or cover half of my face with it.

The mask is actually one of the artifacts I made in the Book of Art. It is a magical mask that once you put it on it will never fall off of your face unless you take it off yourself.

It has the power to change its looks and design based on whatever that you imagine it to look like.

It is also a mask that can turn into a mask that covers the entire face or a mask that can cover half of your face. The half mask can be change to either horizontal or vertical.

I usually wore the mask in half when I'm inside the mansion while if it's the outside I would then wear it fully.

I'm not sure if I should do it like usual or should I change my mind only for today.

A lot of people will be seeing me walking alongside my family and I'm afraid that everyone might criticize them because of me.

I really think it's much better if it's worn in half and just cover the upper part of my face.

I looked at the mirror as I kept changing the design of my mask to pair it with my dress' design.

After a long time of making up a uniques dedsign I'm finally done.

I opened the door to go out and was surprised about the maids that were gathered outside of my door.

I told them to leave me alone since I'll change my mask that's why they're outside right now.

Most of the maids I have right now only remembers my face when I am just 11 years old so they actually on't know what I look like now that I am 16 years old.

As for the rest of the maids who were recently hired of course they have no clue on what I look like, they've only seen the half of my face and even with just that they don't really think that I'm ugly.

They also weirdly praise my lips which I can't really tell what's so attractive about it. They keep saying that they love looking at it that they even fight on who will put a lipstick on me.

After seeing me go out of the room everyone nodded and waited for me to move so they can follow behind me.

Without minding their existence I immediately went to Amelia's room to fetch her.

LIke the lady that she is, she's much slower than me when it comes to preparing herself whenever there's event like this.

"Rem, you're done!?" Amelia looked at me with a smile.

The two of us looked like the polar opposite of each other as she's wearing a white beautiful dress with golden embroidery design while I'm wearing a back colored dress with golden designs.

I can see the satisfied faces of her maids as they finished in dressing her up.

Their eyes seems to be looking at Amelia with pure admirations in their eyes. Feeling satisfied that my sister is loved by everyone I tried to stop myself from showing a smile.

With our maids in tow, the two of us headed to our mother who's the only one who were not done yet.

She smiled awkwardly as we waited for her while standing by the door.

"Go to the carriage first Remmy and Ammy. It'll take a while for me so... Ack" our mother tried to expain but accidentally knock over her jewelries in the process.

Her maids looked really busy doing so many things from here and there and they all look to be in a very stressed and panicked state.

Amelia shook her head sideways as she held my hand and left our mother's room.

"You never change mother" Amelia mumbled as she giggled.

I only tilted my head sideways since it's my first time seeing mother that way. Well that's a given since I barely associate myself with them.

The two of us silently walked through the hallway while holding each other's hand.

"Where's father?" Amelia asked as she looked at me but I only shrugged my shoulder and did not answer.

How would I know that? Was what I'm thinking

"By the way, you never wrote a letter to Lourel, Rem. Don't you know how hard it is for her lately? She said that a lot of monsters keeps attacking their fort that she could not sleep properly" Amelia nagged as I followed her behind.

"You know I don't have enough time to do that" I answered back.

"Don't lie, Rem. I know that you're not doing it because you think it's bothersome" Amelia said with a sigh.

I smirked at her as an answer so she sighed more.

The two of us waited inside the carriage. We can see that father is busily talking with the butler and other knights probably giving them his orders.

And when mother finally arrived father greeted her and they all went inside their own carriage together. Soon the carriages finally started moving to the capital along with a few knights guarding us.

The capital is bustling with a lot of spectators who are eager to meet the aristocrats and the royalty.

A lot of knights were stationed everywhere to prevent the crowd from moving too closely to the entrance of the library.

Each time that a carriage appear, all the sectators will turn their heads on the carriage and watch as the people inside it will come out.

This kind of attention seemed to be well received by the aristocrats so they also tried their best to give their best smile while wearing their best clothes as they leave the carriage.

When it was our time everyone looked at our way immediately and seemed to be in awe at Amelia's beauty.

Our pressence that contrasted each other seemed to bring an impact to everyone around us so they all looked at us not leaving our body from their sight.

Their stares only lessened when the big entrance door of the Memoria library was opened.

Amelia who saw a few of her friends inside the library immediately pulled me alongside her to greet them.

At first they were all taken aback that I'm wearing a mask but in the end they held a genuine smile and greeted me as if it's natural.

After greeting them back I then excused myself to look around the library.

Even though it's just the entrance way the tall shelves in the walls are already filled with books in them.

The place looked really well built and expensive that the ordinary people will probably hesitate to enter this place.

There's even gold and other expensive stone being engraved in the walls and the chairs and tables were finely made that they have cusion as well that it doesn't hurt when you sit on them.

I can't help but think about the cost it will take to clean this pla--- Oh right, I forgot there's preservative spell that was casted in this place.

--------------------------------------------------

The opening ceremony started with having a toast with the guest and opening the doors to the library so anyone can enter.

Of course at that time all the aristocrats are already on their assigned seats in the second floor so if the ordinary people came in they won't really see the aristocrats in the entrance way.

Anyone can get a book and read it for free today but after the opening you have to pay a fee to get inside the library and read whatever you want to read.

A lot of aristocrats today are only enjoying their chatter with each other. Only a few of us are reading the books.

As for me I'm reading the book of life and is watching out for Ellezar, in case that he wants to bother me right now.

Well it seems like he's actually looking for me secretly while making sure that Amelia will not know that he's after me.

My family already know that I'm visiting my own shelves in the third floor so I only need to wait things out until it's time to go home.
