Carla and Carmine

The second party that Amelia Azrael hosted has commenced.

Most of the noble children who came from the highest aristocratic families are present today.

The Second child of God named Flourel Velmour who was adopted by the Marquess Velmour is especially one of them.

Floure is accompanied by her adopted siblings who looked like they're not really fond of her.

While everyone was having fun chatting with each other, Flourel remained quiet at the corner.

There are a few children who wanted to talk to her but in the end they did not approach near her.

When Amelia arrived Flourel was finally able to let out her voice to greet Amelia.

"I-It's an honor to be invited by you Lady Amelia" Flourel greeted bashfully.

Amelia beamed after seeing the second saintess and bowed her head as well to greet Flourel back.

"I'm glad to see you here as well Lady Flourel. I hope you have a good time during the party and if ever you feel uncomfortable you can always come to me"

Amelia said with a smile and Flourel who can feel her good will nodded while blushing shyly.

Flourel tried to talk more but before she could utter a single word the other noble children suddenly flocked around Amelia which caused Flourel to be pushed away by the crowd.

Flourel could not help but look sadly as she watches Amelia from afar and see that her adopted siblings were having fun while conversing with Amelia.

Flourel has already attended three aristocratic parties so far but not once did she ever felt welcomed by them.

She knew where she came from so she remained silent and never crossed her line so that she won't be hated by everyone.

--------------------------------------

I'm currently reading the Book of life of everyone who are present in the party.

Of course I can only read one person at a time so it's really hard to monitor all 58 of them.

I have to pick a few number that stands out, and by standing out I meant that I'm watching the people who has bad thoughts against my sister and me.

A few kids that were invited today secretly showed their disappointment in the book for the fact that they could not see me and possibly mock me behind my back.

And most of the kids who felt that were the ones who only heard the rumours about me and did not attend the first party.

I then changed the book into another names and after reading the book of life of three more people, Flourel Velmour name then caught my eye.

Ever since I read the story of the 7th saintess Ariste Deril.

I got curious about Saintess Carmine Sharlot who is the 16th Saintess before Amelia and Flourel who are the 17th and 18th Saintesses consecutively.

Carmine was known as the youngest Saintess to die and her story made me feel like she's the reason why Flourel exists today.

Throughout the history it is said that the Saintess was always born as the only child of her family.

So Carmine Sharlot who lived with a younger sister was a unique exception among them, same goes with Amelia and me who were twins.

I read that Carmine's younger sister was treasured by Carmine a lot so it was unfortunate that Carla was born with a weak body and was already destined to die at a young age.

Not even the Saintess' power can heal her because it is a sickness that is connected to her soul and it is a sickness that can only be cured after death.

Carmine who felt helpless that she could not heal her sister despite being called a Saintess was devastated.

She tried her best to find a cure but in the end Carla died with no cure in sight.

Well that's what's supposed to happen after Carla's heart has stoped beating,

But Carmine who denied the thought of her sister's death had recklessly poured all of her power to Carla's body.

Carmine was out of her mind when she did that. There's not even a goal in her mind when she depleted all of her power like a madman.

In the end her madness paid of and a new miracle was created by only her.

Carmine succesfully resurected her sister in exchange for her great power.

This fact was never recorded in history since it would absolutely cause a lot chaos around the world.

Many people would have begged Carmine to revive their dead loved ones as well if she were ever to tell everyone what happened.

After that great resurection of her sister it was said that Carmine's healing power are slowly diminishing as years passes by.

Carmine's weakening of power was also not mentioned in the books today, but the records about her activities did stop when she's at the age of 25.

After all at the age of 25 the church who knew the fact about her weakening power had decided to lock her up in the temple and told everyone that the Saintess died at a very young age.

Even Carla believed that lie and lived mournfully althroughout her remaining life.

Since they were born as commoners she's not even allowed to see the corpse of her sister.

A fake funeral was held for Carmine.

And Carla who mourned for her sister for many years always believed that her sister's death was her fault.

And even if she wished for her death, she could not do it because being alive was the only punishment that she could thought to receive for her sins.

Soon Carla died from malnourishment, depression, and stress and Carmine who heard of her sister's death followed along her as well.

Their story were very tragic and because they were born as commoner, there's not much records written about them.

When I read the Saintesses history books I always thought that no matter what era a Saintess is born in, she will always be born in a prominent and wealthy family.

Carmine is definitely the only Saintess who was born as an orphan and lived a very harsh life in the church.

Because Carla was sick and was left in the care of the church people... Carmine became a puppet of the church who only followed their words without hesitation.

She knew that if she diobeyed them, Carla would be thrown out somewhere and will be left to die by the church people.

I sighed as I remembered Carmine's tragic story and wondered if I should also write a book about it.

The church will definitely become my enemy if that happens.

Well if I did publish it, everyone will finally have the answer to why the country where that church was built had experienced countless misfortunes after Carmine's death.

That country became a part of an empire now after it was conquered but I wonder if it'll be abandoned by people if such a tragic story is published now.

I shrugged as I read Flourel's thoughts during the party. She kept thinking how she has to behave well so no one will hate her or she has to mind her manners so no one will laugh at her.

Despite being a Saintess, Flourel get easily trampled on because of her old status.

Everyone also thinks that she's a fake after it was revealed that she was born with brown hair and blue eyes unlike Amelia who was born with golden hair and eyes at birth.

I knew that they're both real saintesses though.

And if my theory is correct Flourel is probably Carla from the past.

The power of healing has probably transfered to Carla's soul after Carmine's sacrifice.

Haah...

It really feels like I believe in reincarnation now.

I should probably just think that the God has decided to split the Two Saintess powers between them.

That's the most believable theory...
