Amelia Azrael

Another day has passed in the Azraels and my twin sister Amelia has decided to invite me to have some tea time with her. Even though she's only a few minutes older than me, she really liked acting like the older sister between us.

Although she acts like a doting older sister who worries about me most of the time, I don't really mind it as long as she doesn't force me to do what I don't want to do nor nag me like she's my second mother.

"Look at this Rem! A blue dress! Do you like it? I picked the design with mother the last time we went out. The boutique just finished making it and its a surprise for you! Are you happy?"

Amelia showed off the new dresses that she bought with mother and excitedly told the designs that she added herself when they put the order in the past.

I looked at Amelia with no emotion on my face and continued drinking my tea. She should be thankful that I don't really read her everyday life in the Book of life, but even if I don't read it at all, there's no denying that it is very easy to read her intentions.

"Is this for another party Lia?"

I simply asked which made her stop from rambling by herself.

"Haha...So you already know... Well that makes it easier!"

Amelia who concluded that looked happy and was about to talk again but I showed my right palm to stop her.

"Amelia, you know I don't like going out right?"

"But mother and father are worried about you, Rem"

She said while looking worriedly for me. I sipped the tea one last time and placed the cup on the saucer.

"If it's about the rumors about me, then don't care about it. I know all of you are worried about my feelings and not the problem it will bring to the family. If that's the case, I'm fine really"

I said and looked at Amelia who remained silent after what I said.

"I like the dress you picked, Lia so I'll take it"

I said and nodded my head. At least for a little bit Amelia looked happy because of my compliment, but she still looked very worried though.

"If that's what you want, then I'll respect your decision, but please next time do not forget to eat your meals every morning and lunch time okay?"

After she said that I looked back at my maids who reported everything to my family on what happened yesterday.

"Yes sister. I will remember that"

I said and smiled so she smiled back. I stood up and let the maids carry my new dress as I immediately went back to my room.

The rumors about me has probably circulated across the whole kingdom and it's all about me being the Lazy lady of the Azrael. Because my sister is the opposite of me and the so called Saintess, the attention that my family gets has been extreme ever since she was born.

The maids who used to take care of me also knew how different I looked compared to my parents and they must have spread the rumors of what I looked like. Thanks to it there was a time when the whole kingdom concluded that our mother cheated on father with another man.

After all it is a known fact that the Saintess will look special and different compared to the normal people, so it's understandable why my sister do not look like our parents, but I who everyone thinks is a normal child, do not resemble our parents at all that's why they got the idea that my sister and I was a child from a different man.

Of course that's not the case at all, it's true that the information about my looks came from the maids in the mansion, but it's not like they believe that we're not the child of father at all. Compared to what everyone thought, the Azraels and my father knew that we were the children of the Azrael family.

After all even though it's not known, in the Azraels everyone knew that I'm just the second Lazy lady of the Azrael, because the first one to be called that was our mother.

Ever since my father and mother met when they were children, father could already tell that my mother is lazy and as they grew older, mother continued to be like that even until they get engaged and married each other. All the servants they grew up with already knows how to take care of their lazy lady. And mother, even though she's lazy she's actually very competent when she starts to take care of things out of boredom.

Only the Azraels know about this information because our mother is really good at masking her real self into a fine and elegant lady who is very proper and educated in the eyes of the society. She fooled the whole kingdom in the past that she even became known as one of the five beautiful flowers of Rimeheldra Kingdom.

Despite her personality, father still loved her dearly because they were childhood sweethearts. That's why for mother to cheat with someone else is out of the equation, after all it takes a lot of effort for everyone to even force our mother to go out of the mansion.

No one in the Azraels can really tell the truth about it and it's not like the outsiders will believe them even if they present some evidences that mother is a loyal wife, so everyone has chosen to remain silent and simply waited for the rumors to die down.

Well that's one of the reasons why people started to pay attention to me, and apparently because I'm not attending any parties even though aristocrats are required to attend one at the young age of 9, everyone started trying to make rumors to put me down.

There's even a thought that I might have been a child of a commoner and that I don't belong to the aristocratic society. My sister is different because she's the Saintess, while I'm nothing but an illegitimate child and so on.

I don't even know what I did for everyone to hate me like that. It's not like they hate me because they can sense that I'm a witch, apparently they just hate me because my family is getting the attention to everything these days and I'm just the easy target out of all of us to ruin the entire family.
