Chapter 46: Pain and Cycles

It feels like an odd sort of deja vu, except I’m the one tied up, and Bri isn't involved at all, thank fuck. But Victor is painfully obvious, not even bothering to be creative enough to change the way he contacts Alec. As soon as he’s off the phone and Victor turns his back on me, I can’t help but continue to insult him like I have been for the past few hours.
If he’s going to kidnap me, I’m going to make sure it’s a huge mistake on his part.
“Wow, and I thought I was set in my ways, but you take it to an entirely different extreme. Did you use another Adinkran symbol painted with blood? Let me guess. It means vengeance? No wait, wait. Harmony?”
Victor abruptly stops walking on his way to the door, turning to face me with a look of agitation on his face, not quite at anger yet, but getting there.
“I’d be silent if I were in your position, witch.”
