"Valerie?"
Turning her head around, trying to find the familiar-sounding honeyed voice, Valerie spotted a woman approaching them at the dining table at a distance. Her eyes were glued on her, a woman who looked the same as her step-sister, Helena.
The very same Helena that had pushed her off a twenty-story building in her original world.
She wore a gown similar to what Valerie had seen in the dressing room. The woman's hair at the back of her head was styled simply like a bun, often with a few curled tendrils of hair down the back, and she wore thick makeup that somehow complemented her look.
The woman's eyes were a bright, coal-black, and her lips were evenly painted a deep red. She had a beautiful, heart-shaped face with two lines formed by the corners of her lips that were slightly curved into a smile.
It was uncanny, and the woman looked the same as the step-sister she had back then. Somehow, things were starting to get clearer but harder to decipher at the same time.
