Busy Castle..

Tahira's chambers…

She stood by her window, staring at the beautiful view as she watched the stars. She remembered what her grandmother had always told her. The moon was the biggest star there is. It had often been told that werewolves had harnessed their powers from the moon. Therefore, whenever the moon was at its mightiest, that is a full moon, werewolves were also believed to be at their most powerful state.

Her grandma had also believed that, a werewolf's most powerful state all depended on the werewolf. When faced with life threatening situations, most living things are said to be at their most powerful state, as they would do just about anything to survive. Her grandmother also told her that a werewolf's most dangerous state was at the blood moon, but the blood moon occured not very often.

She looked at herself on the glass reflection. A pair of brown eyes which suddenly turns red when she changes form and her brunette colored hair which fell from her shoulders almost getting to her waist. It was beautiful and silky.

"Tahira Von Druelli " she muttered, "You need not this pretty face, you need fierceness, that is truly what makes a good leader" she said.

She didn't want a mate. She felt like she didn't need one, she felt it could all be a distraction. All her life she had been trained to be a leader. She had decided ever since to be a perfect one. She had told her father she wanted to marry for love because she wanted her father to be distracted from the fact that she didn't want a mate. Too good a thing, she hadn't felt attracted to any werewolf yet.

Just then she remembered she had to meet Ishaka the following day. He only wanted her because she was the princess and only heir of their kingdom. She didn't blame him tho, any man would have been tempted to.

She had been so exhausted from the day, but after watching the moon and stars for a while, she felt energized but….hungry.

Why was she perceiving, freshly grilled meat by this time of the night? The entire household already had dinner, it was quite unusual to perceive such an aroma at that time.

She decided to go to the kitchen and find out herself and maybe, have a taste.

As she stepped out of her chambers, she noticed the castle was even busier than she had thought. She saw the guards marching towards the entrance like they were expecting a siege. She stepped out and hid behind the pillars.

This was because obviously, no one wanted her to know what was going on. She decided to find out herself.

She peeped and saw her father at a distance talking to someone. Curiosity replaced the hunger she had in her. She was wanted to know what was going on. She heard some footsteps behind her as she made to turn, she was suddenly covered with darkness.

The Castle….

King Cashito stood at the entrance of the palace together with Queen Sabrina. They had to look like the model couple. The other kingdom had urgently contacted them, about bringing their almost dead son to the palace. This was because their seer had told them that the cure to his infection was there.

The King never wanted to oblige but after considering the advice from his cabinet, he decided to welcome them and see what they were up to.

So as not to draw attention from the pack, they had told them to arrive discreetly at night. Soon the carriages arrived the castle.

The King and Queen from the other kingdom exchanged pleasantries with King Cashito and Queen Sabrina. Just behind them, the Prince was carried into the palace.

He was in an unconscious state but as soon as he was carried into the palace, he suddenly started moving vigorously. Like he was having a seizure.

"Quick bring him to the chambers" Queen Sabrina had said and he was moved to the chambers which the Queen had prepared earlier. The healer was called and while looking at the Prince, she felt this cosmic energy flowing through him, but it was strange. A body shouldn't be able to contain such, but two bodies could. "Hmmm, this is not a one way thing, where is the princess?" The healer asked.

"Someone should go check on the Princess now!"

Tahira's Chambers

Tahira had been drugged to sleep by her father's orders. She had been carefully placed on bed, but after a while. She started having a seizure, she didn't know if she was in a daze or dream. Was it really a dream or a nightmare?

The werewolf pursued her aggressively, She ran as fast as her legs could carry. She kept looking back to decipher how close the werewolf had come, then she tripped and fell. Having so much fear in her? She got up almost immediately, the werewolf seemed familiar but she didn't have time to think. She ran towards the castle doors and closed the door behind her. Her heart palpated and rammed against her chest. The angry Alpha wolf tore down the door and Tahira was soon faced with the pair of crimson red eyes.

At first, she could feel the fury, just when she thought it was going to attack her, she saw a hint of helplessness in the eye of the werewolf as it shifted back to the human form and muttered these words…."mate" then fell unconscious.

Bang! The chambers door opened and Sabrina ran straight to the bed where she her daughter lay, shaking vigorously. Her night clothing was drenched with sweat. She kept on muttering some words that her mother couldn't make out from afar but as she came closer, she could clearly make out the words. "Mate!"

Queen Sabrina became more confused as to what was going on. "Get me a bowl of water and a clean cloth." She order and they quickly went to get what she had asked for.

Was the werewolf on the other wing her daughters mate? If he was, then he must be the one the king had been trying to protect her from, but why?

Why? She scoffed. That had been a question she was never permitted to ask, she just had to do as she was told and follow the lead. She just had to watch her daughter's future play out without having a say in it.

She cleaned her body, she had a fever and so as soon as the wet cloth touched her skin she shivered. Soon she got used to the temperature and her body calmed down. Her breathing became steady abd Sabrina was sure she had gone to sleep.

Queen Sabrina went to the window and let in some air. She instructed the servants not to move around Tahira's bed chambers. She then made herself comfortable at the bed post, while humming Tahira's favourite lullaby when she was little.
