Chapter 50 : The Wedding Day

Naina fed Anita , Anita was sitting and getting restless and nervous which didn't go unnoticed by her friends

"Anita tu theek tho haina" Priya asked

"I am nervous " Anita replied

"It's ok to be nervous ,you are nervous because you will be the mrs akash from tomorrow and with this name the responsibilities will also increase and we know you both will take care of eachother equally" naina said shocking everyone

"Woah , sometimes she speaks so maturely ,i literally forget that she is younger than all of us " Priya said while Anita nodded her head and smiled ( naina is younger than the other three,she directly got admission in 1st standard skipping LKG and UKG ,that's why the girls are in same year of their College )

Anita was ready ,she was wearing a red saree,for her hair the beautician made a beautiful braid with partition for sindur,the bride was looking absolutely breathtaking

Anita 's mom took her nazar and applied kaala teeka behind her ear ,Anita hugged her mom as she got emotional,the beautician warned her not to cry which made her friends laugh

Priya naina and neetu also got ready ,they were also wearing a saree,Priya wore a maroon saree with sleeveless blouse,neetu wore a peach colour saree,backless blouse,while naina chose again a simple cream glittered saree ,with half sleeves blouse ,the neck was deep she whined at first but agreed to wear after few scoldings from her friends ,the beautician helped them in draping the sarees

THE GROOM

The groom was ready ,he was wearing a cream colour sherwani with white kurta inside ,ahaan abhay and vineet wore a simple suit ,ahaan wore a black suit with red shirt ,whereas abhay and vineet wore black suit with white shirt inside

Akash 's mom and buaji was with them ,akash 's mom gave the pagdi to his bua ji to tie it as akash sat down on the chair ,she tied the pagdi around his head ,after tying the pagdi ,akash 's mom gave her the pushtaini haar( long neckpiece as per the ritual,the neckpiece is put on the groom 's neck ,this ritual is done by bhabhi of the groom ,since akash is only child so the ritual is performed by his buaji )

After the ritual is completed ,akash 's mom and buaji looked at him lovingly

"Bilkul shehzaada lag raha hai" akash 's buaji said and hugged him

Akash's mom also got emotional,she put the kaala teeka behind his ear and kissed his forehead

THE WEDDING CEREMONY

Anita and akash were standing for varmaala ceremony,panditji asked Anita to put the varmala around akash 's neck ,Anita moved closer ,as soon as Anita tried to place the varmala around his neck ,ahaan and abhay lifted akash making Anita frown ,groom 's side encouraged akash , while bride's side encouraged and rooted for Anita

"Common Anita " Priya cheered her up

Anita again tried to place the varmala ,again abhay and vineet lifted akash ,making Anita sigh in frustration,this time ahaan cheered for his bhabhi

"Common bhabhi " ahaan said as he looked at naina,his gaze was making naina shy ,he looked her from top to bottom ,ahaan realised naina was wearing a saree ,which was his weakness

"Damn hot " ahaan said ,making naina chuckle,as she could read his lips

"Control yourself " abhay murmured in ahaan's ear from behind

Anita tried again to place the varmala and this time akash bent his head down for her ,making her smile widely,she placed the varmaala successfully, everyone whistled and hooted for them

Now it was akash 's turn to put the varmaala ,when akash was about to put the varmaala ,rudra lifted Anita ,Anita showed her tongue to akash ,he just chuckled at her childishness ,in second attempt when rudra was trying to lift Anita again , Anita signalled him not to,she bent down her head for akash,akash smiled ,he placed the varmaala around her neck ,akash moved closer to Anita and place a soft kiss on her forehead surprising everyone including Anita as she lowered her head and blushed ,everyone shouted on the top of their voice

THE PHERAS CEREMONY

Now Anita and akash were sitting infront of the Agni (hawan kund) the panditji was doing the mantra jaap , panditji ji calls Anita's dad to do Kanya daan ,Anita 's dad holds his daughter's hand as the tear drops rolled down from her cheeks ,she didn't look at her dad but sobbed,he kept Anita 's hand in akash 's hand ,akash 's girp on her hand tightened as he looked at his father in law,assuring him that he would take care of her from now on ,Anita 's dad went behind them ,her mom gave him the pink colour cloth ,he place one side on akash 's shoulder ,and another side on Anita's shoulder,then he tied both the end tightly which signifies that now they are tied together in a bond for forever

After Kanya daan ,Pandit ji hands the mangalsutra to akash to tie around Anita 's neck ,akash trembled a bit before moving closer to Anita ,Anita closed her eyes ,he ties the mangalsutra around her neck ,their heart beat increased as akash moved still looking at Anita ,his gaze never left her ,then panditji gave the sindur box to akash (sindur was kept it mandir as per the ritual),akash moved closer to Anita and applied the sindur,Anita closed her eyes feeling the moment,the sindur fell on her nose which is a good sign as per the ritual,Anita 's tear drop fell as she opened her,Anita and

akash 'a eyes met ,akash immediately wiped her tears away ,and gestured her not to cry which brought smile on her face

Panditji asked the bride and groom to get up for the pheras

The groom usually leads the bride in the walk for first few Pheras, then the bride leads the groom in the rest. Fire is the divine witness

After the seven phera ,panditji announced

"Vivaah sampan huwa Aaj se aap dono pati patni huwe ,sab bado ka ashirwad le le "

Anita and akash took ashirwaad of akash 's mom and dad,when Anita bent down to take ashirwaad of akash 's dad he said

"Betiyaan pita ke paau nahi chuti " ,he hugged her and blessed the couple

Akash 's mom too asked Anita not to cry "Ghar ki lashmi ko le jaa rahe aur ghar ki lashmi rote huwe acchi nahi lagti "

Now Anita and akash went towards Anita 's dad as soon as Anita bent down to take ashirwaad of her father ,she broke down ,her dad immediately held her in his arms and consoled her ,akash too got emotional looking at them ,everyone got emotional ,Priya neetu naina were crying ,ahaan abhay and vineet too were in tears ,Anita 's mom was so emotional as Anita 's dadi tried her best to console her

"Meri princess " Anita 's dad said as Anita started crying more loudly ,and hugged him tightly ,Anita 's dad gave his other hand for akash to hold ,akash held his hand , Anita's dad took him too in a warm hug

"Khayaal rakhna iska bahut naazon se pali hai meri princess " ,Anita 's dad said to akash ,akash kept his hand on Anita 's dad 's hand and assured him that he will take care of her "humari princess " akash said which made Anita 's dad smile,Anita separated from her father with a light smile on her face ,but as soon as she saw her mom she broke down again ,both akash and Anita went towards Anita 's mom ,Anita hugged her mom and sobbed while her mom caressed her back , Anita 's mom kissed her on her forehead and did the same with akash ,she gave Anita 's hand in akash 's hand ,next they took ashirwaad from Anita 's dadi and all the other family members

Ab bas kitna royegi "rudra said when Anita was hugging her friends and crying

"Bhai " Anita said and ran towards rudra ,she hugged him ,while he kept teasing her " poora make up kharaab ho jaayega ,bhootni lagegi " rudra said making her whine as she hit him lightly on his chest ,others laughed with the tears in their eyes
