Right after Mike agreed to give out the 10 years worth of lifespan, Lilia began instructing him on how to initiate it.
After all, If she doesn't teach him how to initiate the contract and summon the cosmos beast overseeing it, then she will be the one losing 10 years.
Her role isn't small as well. First, without her, the contract itself cannot activate at all, much less sign it. Second, she will be bearing almost all of the pain that's gonna be caused to their souls, or else Mike will surely die a miserable death.
There is a good reason why only tier 4 plus cultivators are fundamental to sign a universal contract after all, and that's cause the pain that follows the signing process is so destructive, that only tier 4 plus can take it on.
