The Warrior's Musician [BL]

In the vast expanse of the celestial realm, a sacred mission was bestowed upon the five deities known as the Heavenly Order. Their purpose: to protect the mortal realm from the offspring of an ancient demon, whose birth was foretold to bring destruction upon their world. But what if that destruction already happened? and its existence was forgotten for someone brought everyone back to the beginning, that beginning of time where everything had started. Eventually, as the time turns counterclockwise, so does everyone’s memories. - “Your destiny cannot be undone” In a sudden gasp, Xing Ziao abruptly rose from his sleep, his body drenched in perspiration as he struggled for breath. A younger man with silvery-white hair, holding a bundle of fruits, swiftly approached, his steps filled with concern. "Ziao ge, are you unwell? You seem troubled," he asked, his voice filled with genuine worry. Xing Ziao, still breathing heavily, shook his head in response. "It is merely another one of my troubled dreams," Xing Ziao sighed, his voice tinged with resignation. The younger man lowered himself to a crouching position beside his elder brother, offering the bundle of fruits he had just brought. "Can you recall the content of this unsettling dream, Ziao ge?" he inquired, his concern evident in his eyes. "No, but it feels familiar, like my previous dreams. Though the details are blurred, I sense a scene of warfare," Xing Ziao explained. The younger man nodded in understanding, taking a bite from one of the fruits he had brought. Xing Ziao rose to his feet and retrieved his iron spear, which had been resting against a nearby tree. "I am certain these dreams hold no significant meaning," he murmured to himself...

PROLOGUE

"In the distant future, five hundred years hence, the loathed Demon shall bear a child. Our sole recourse lies in thwarting the child's birth as a demon, thereby destined to emerge as an immortal human. The yet-unmanifested deities of the celestial realm shall ensure the Jaded Spear, the perilous weapon of the Demon's King, remains beyond the child's grasp. By doing so, the malevolent essence within the child shall forever slumber, rending the prophecy impotent and its fulfillment nigh impossible."

Amidst the unyielding tides of destiny...

"Lord Barstavos, the hour is nigh. The four celestial deities have engaged the Demon Prince in battle,"

With raven tresses, locks aglow in emerald hues, and eyes akin to golden orbs, the deity turned to face his loyal younger brother, who had faithfully served him for eight centuries.

"The Demon Prince…"

"Líng Dou, ready my blade,"

"My Lord, will you not wield your sacred instrument?"

Lord Barstavos offered a faint smile, dismissing his brother's query. Ling dou, hesitating for the first time, initially withheld a sword from his elder sibling, but eventually relented.

"In my stead, protect the southern lands, Xiao Ling,"

These were the final instructions Barstavos imparted before descending from the mountain.

When the Deity of the South arrived at the central battleground, three celestial deities had already fallen, while the fourth was nowhere to be seen. At the heart of it all stood a bloodied figure, possessed by fiery red eyes, clutching the Jaded Spear. This very individual, once viewed by Lord Barstavos as a dreamer, a warrior, a friend, and a partner, now aimed the spear's blade menacingly towards him.

"Xing Ziao..." murmured by the Deity of the South, gripping his sword. The Demon Prince suddenly materialized before him.

"In the end, darkness has consumed you," Lord Barstavos uttered, his voice tinged with anguish.

The expressionless Demon prince prepared to strike, but Lord Barstavos swiftly parried the Jaded Spear with his sword, causing it to slip from the prince's grip. Before Xing Ziao could react, the deity embraced him, forcing him to halt.

"Xing Ziao, though you may be born of wicked Demon lineage, you are not inherently evil," the deity began. "Awaken from your profound slumber, for I know you still reside within."

The Demon Prince struggled to break free from the Lord's grasp, yet Barstavos refused to release him.

"You once proclaimed yourself a warrior...and my protector, so act accordingly and vanquish the darkness within," with those words, the Prince ceased his resistance.

"Barstavos..." Xing Ziao spoke, prompting the Lord to release him. But before ensuring that the Prince had fully regained control, darkness overcame him one final time, as the blade of the Jaded Spear plunged into the Lord's heart, sealing his demise.

Xing Ziao, now back in control, collapsed, cradling the fallen Lord in his arms, beseeching forgiveness a billion times over, shattering the Lord's heart.

"Xing Z-Ziao, it is not your f-fault. Do not burden yourself with blame, but rather blame the one who forced you into this," Lord Barstavos gasped, struggling for breath.

"I should have controlled myself. I should have never laid hands on the spear..." Xing Ziao's voice was suffused with agony.

Barstavos offered a feeble smile and imparted his parting words on the cusp of his final breath, "Live on for me my prince, and be a noble king, a valiant warrior, and a steadfast protector."
